When I received the truck the actual fuel gage differed extremely from that of their contract knowledge and after haveing the contract modified I left the lot not knowing that the vehicle did not even have enough gas to make it to the nearest gas station. That and the customer service there is highly lacking.

Don't waste your time. You will thank me later. 1st problem: I made a reservation and then I was notified that someone picked up my truck... I was at work..... So I take time off work and see what's the problem. Turns out, someone with the same name and in Fresno took my reservation... On my acct.... So I made another reservation. Ok, no biggie. Just inconvenient. 2nd problem: i got mixed up with someone AGAIN. Someone took my truck, again!!! So I had to come back for the 2nd time in person to clear things up. I was there for an hour.... while only one employee was a cashier. Line was ridiculous 3rd problem: I call to extend my reservation. Then I get a call a few hours later stating that my reservation was never extended????? But the woman who called me took care of it. But if she didn't call me... It could've ended worse. I'm glad she did. 4th problem: I return my truck and I was charged for three days.... I only used it for two days..... But, Thomas j. was my cashier and he made the experience a lot better. He went above and beyond to help me and clear things up. Also, I don't know the name of the person who checked my equipment in, but he was good too. They were both competent. Horrible experience, but the cashier and equipment return guy did a great job.

It seems like they didn't have enough people working the front desk because we were in line about 40 minutes. We didn't expect that and had asked to pick up the van at the south Fresno office but were moved to the north office. The lady who helped us at the front desk had a fever and said she was achy. It was clear to us that she was sick and should not have been working because it affected her thought process. I believe It slowed down the check in process in the store.

There are no signs that customers can’t park in certain areas. There are like only 4 customer parking spots. I parked in a area that was unmarked and went inside to order my U-Haul service. I had to use my the bathroom really quick and one of the workers was yelling that if I don’t move the car, they will not serve me. I moved my car somewhere else and still got served but the guy was really rude. Need to mark areas customers cannot park in and put up signs that you guys have the right to refuse service if they are going to threaten that to me and every other customer who parks in a unmarked spot. And I’ve seen almost every other customer park in a unmarked spot and get told to move their vehicle. Just some signs in unmarked areas would be nice.

The line to pick up even my rental took over 30 minutes and this was with an existing reservation. Staff was polite and professional but for a business this size there should have been more staffing on at the start of the business day.

Efficiency! Location is UNDERSTAFFED for the amount of business that comes through here. Your poor employees take unnecessary insult and criticism due to running around trying to satisfy multiple customers at one time. Either need additional yard personnel or more importantly someone to constantly maintain the counter, thus giving the notion each individual is being shown attention. I noted people pulling into yard and being assisted sooner than customers inside in line due to miscommunication.

Moving is always stressful. I set up a pick up for 8 pm, I don’t remember getting anything about having to pick up at a certain time. We arrived just after 9 and tried to complete and it said reservation had expired. I called and the representative reset the time to 11 pm. We arrived close to 11 to find that our assigned truck was completely blocked in and not accessible. I called back and they reassigned a 2nd truck. We located the 2nd truck and it also was blocked in and not accessible. By this time it was midnight I called back yet again and reassigned the truck for the next morning. Upon arrival the next morning a new person helped us at first I explained the situation and that I had a share reservation with a truck already assigned but he argued that I still must wait in line. I got in a line with 7 people. Waited 20 minutes and finally walked to the front and spoke to a very helpful person who promptly finally got on the ball and got us the truck in a timely manner. Overall the experience was horrible

Initial guy that helped me out was rude. I Asked him where too wait and he said "Go wait in the customer parking I'll come up too you when I can" asked about how long it would take and replied "I don't know just go wait and I'll be with you". Long story short waited 48 min from my initial check in. Another employee came up too me and helped me out but said I should of just flagged him down from the beginning. Drop off was quick and easy. No hassle and was In and out within 10 min.

I was only at this location for 20 minutes total! The attendant was very friendly and efficient. He checked in the equipment quickly and I was on the road right away. I did not have to wait in line to check in and return the truck! Awesome!

Well, this Uhaul facility is extremely understaffed. I preregistered and still had to wait. Only 1 person at the check out. He told me I still had to wait in line regardless if I preregistered. In addition, when I got into the cab of my uhaul, the smell of cigarette smell was overwhelming. I had to roll the windows down just to breathe. Very disappointing.

Sarah in the office was very pleasant and helpful. The cargo van we reserved a week before, was very dirty inside and out. The man assisting us did clean inside the van the best he could. We were traveling 3 hrs and was anxious to get on the road, so the half hour delay was unfortunate to say the least. My suggestion is to not rent out a vehicle for a specific pick up time, without making sure it is clean and ready at that time.

The truck I rented had a bad vibration at 30mph. The brakes must be glazed because they squeal very loud at every stop and there’s a popping felt in the steering column when pulling in/of a driveway. The gentleman at the front counter Adam needs assistance. With as busy as your facility is 1 desk guy isn’t enough to help 6 people in line in a timely fashion. I’m sure a glance at a financial statement will show an area where expense could be cut to gain another crew member to help facilitate the high traffic.

I think having a separate line for reservations would help make this go more smoothly. Also reservations should have an appointment time (every 10-15 minutes) to make it go by faster. The line can go very slow when you have 8 people with reservations showing up at the same time. I think it would help your employees be more organized as they seemed to be stressed out trying to tend to everyone.

All of the employees were very nice but these poor folks were overwhelmed! They were so understaffed it was crazy. It took me over 1 1/2 hr to pick up a trailer. Everyone was so nice but there was no way they could keep up with all the steps necessary inside and out. There was a huge line inside and then after standing in that for 45 min, then I got to stand in the next line outside with only one very nice, very impressive lady working out there. New processes needed so badly!! I didn't even mention that I had already reserved the trailer by phone and had paid, but had to do all of it again once I got there.

It took us an hour to get the uhaul checked back in. The gas tank showed full when we picked it up. We drove 29 miles and had to put 23 gallon of gas to fill it back up. The brakes were terrible and scary.

I spoke to a scheduler the day before about possibly picking up at a different location and she was very helpful and accommodating. On my pickup day you had an employee go home sick that morning and there was only 1 other employee inside to help customers. I was the 3rd customer in line and the pick up took an hour. By the time the customers behind me got to the desk they were very upset it was taking so long. Your phone system regarding trying to obtain information is time consuming.

I set up ahead of time so I would avoid wait. Your computer could not validate my picture. I waited in line for 45 minutes. Onstage one person waiting on the line. On a holiday weekend I would have expected sufficient coverage.

The employees kept trying to find reasons not to give me my trailer even though I had made reservations and already paid for it, including the deposit. Then ,what seemed to be the supervisor told I could not get my trailer unless I had an e-mail address to give them, even though I had already paid and had a reservation for it. He was rude as well! Then he tried to tell me I had not paid for it and I kept telling him to look at my receipt, but he would not.After about fifteen minuets of that I finally got my trailer. When I brought it back I had to wait 45 minutes to get processed to get out of there. I will never go back to that place again and maybe never UHAUL again. You are not the only game in town! .

Overall good experience - returning was a nightmare due to the amount of people dropping off equipment. Thankfully staff was very helpful. One important note - I did need to keep the trailer for an hour extra, phone support staff was very friendly/helpful. The trailer I rented was well maintained and sturdily built.

I originally went to the 749 N Blackstone location first, the staff there were very nice and courteous, however, I ended up upgrading to a larger truck & they sent me to the other N Blackstone location on Bullard & Blackstone where they had 1 available. When I arrived at this location, the young lady that helped me was rude, no customer service skills. I will use U-Haul again for future moves, I just will never go to the Bullard & Blackstone location. I will go to the 749 N Blackstone where I was treated nicer.

I feel misled. It took me probably 1 hour just to pick up a trailer.I registered and checked in online. This meant nothing. I still had to wait in a long line. It was represented to me online that I would save significant time by pre-registering and checking in the night before. I did not save time.

Checking in online was a waste of time as the computers were down so none of the information could be retrieved. We were also told we could not park on the premises. We were told to wait out front for the truck to be brought to us only to be told by a guy out there that there was no one who could do this. The truck was not inspected before we left the premises and we were accused of denting it upon return. We did not. Fortunately there was a record of the previous user. We will not be using U-Haul again. Very unsatisfactory experience.

Nit happy that my I haul installed electrical hook-up failed and manager wouldn’t even consider a discount for fixing it. Just plain “no”. No empathy or consideration. Couldn’t even come up with a quote for replacement in 2 hours. On the other side , my actual technician Adam Hawkyard was exceptional. Tried to fix my problem and was quick doing the paperwork and actual hookup when I returned with a different tow vehicle. And amazingly hot me a replacement quote for my electrical hookup in 10 minutes. Maybe he should be the manager...

Brake fluid resivoir on trailer was not in proper working order. Fluid leaked out during usage and resivoir was empty. Fluid collected all over the back of my vehicle and was a safety issue. No concern when reported on return.

This location was extremely understaffed. With the exception of Haley, who although she was overwhelmed was also very helpful and had a good attitude the rest of the staff was less than friendly and the wait times were really bad on both pick-up and drop-off. There was one guy working there named Adam who seemed like it was an inconvenience to help customers. Overall it was not a great experience.

I only recommended this location because of the fine people working there. Unfortunately, due to a outdated computer system, check in was much too slow, and after the check in, there was a long wait to hitch up the trailer due to a lack of employees on the job. HOWEVER, Keesha, the woman who eventually assisted me with the trailer hitch was very skilled and courteous. Your company is lucky to have her as an employee.

Was assigned vehicle that had full tank of gas, then while waiting to have vehicle brought to us it was switched which took longer and only had 1/8 of gas. This made us late to appointment for our pick up and now had to stop for gas. Was not a Clean vehicle, non smoking vehicle that smelled like cigarettes. No license plate on vehicle and were pulled over by undercover cop who questioned us about if truck was stolen. We ended up being late and missing our appointment and wasting time and money because we were charged for not turning vehicle in with 1/4 of gas. First time using this company and was not the experience I was expecting. I have future reservation schedule but I am going to cancel horrible experience.

I asked for a truck with over 1/4 tank because I was literally only going to drive the truck less than 1 mile and return it. I didn't want to pay the $30 return fee on less than a 1/4 tank. The located a truck with 3/8 of a tank (it was the only one if the fleet over 1/4). I was busy. She was busy. I left the office, waited for the needle to rise over 1/4, up to 3/8. It never did. But I only drove it 200 meters to an office just down the street from you. I tried to call, but your lines were busy and I had to hang up because I was in the middle of moving and I couldn't wait forever. THE BAD 1) Every 26' truck but one was at 1/4 tank or less. That means that you guys are intentionally sending out trucks that you KNOW are either going to result in $30 fees, or where the customer has to put in extra gas (which you benefit from). That's not a way to gain trust from a customer. Honestly, it's legal but shady. 2) You lied to me. You told me it had 3/8 tank. It did not. It was just under 1/4 when I got it. And, then you make it my problem to track you back down and explain it. Because you already lost my trust on item number 1, why would I "trust" you on item 2? . THE GOOD 1) Luckily the staff was understanding. I explained my dilemma. I don't drive your trucks. I don't know how much your needles fluctuate, or how long it takes them to register their true amount. I offered to pay the fee, but said I wasn't happy about it. He didn't charge me. At least you guys treated me right AFTER the complaints about how what you guys were doing was a bit shady-looking. I was respectful, but shared my frustrations about trying to go about life doing right by everyone and then getting treated unjustly. . Hopefully you guys can train employees to NOT set up scenarios like this in the future that lead to a customer having to police your work for you - and then you'll get the benefit of being respected and trusted.

The people working this location are completely unorganized and provide the slowest of service. My reservation pick up was at 9am and I didn't get the trailer hooked up to my truck until almost 10:30am. Also, the woman that checked me in had a terrible attitude and was quite rude. I would not rent from this location again unless it was my only option.

I stood in line for 45 minutes on a Saturday morning due to the fact that there was only 1 cashier available to check people in. Luckily the person working the register gave us extra time for our rental. This is the second time this location has been understaffed and seems to be an issue especially in the morning time.

He took delivery of the truck even though the location was closed. He showed excellent customer services skills. Made an online reservation for a 5x9 trailer and appliance dolly for 11am. Arrived at 1045am, and waited for an hour to have my trailer attached to my vehicle only to find out that there were no appliance dollies to rent. Why would the reservation system waste my time and tell me that Uhaul has a dolly at this location and deceive me?? This is bad business! I am going to rent from Home Depot from now on!

I have been to this UHaul location for the past 15 or so years and this is the worst I and many others standing in this horrid line waiting to be waited on, have seen. UHaul Employees were standing outside talking and laughing with each other as if there was not a care in the world. Somewhere in the future, your company will suffer a great loss of business because you just don't care about the very customers who make it possible for these people to have employment. This location has been the same old place with different faces, acting like they just don't give a shit about their customer for the 15 years I've been coming here. Some of it because of UHaul Pollicy and training and procedures and rules, but most of the problem is the arragance of your employees. Your web site directed me to fill out these forms to save 1/2 of the time while I'm on site to pick up my trailer. It took 1 hour to go through your line twice. This means it would have taken 2 hours to do business with you. I promise you one thing. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH UHAUL AGAIN. And if enough customers are tired of the bull shit treatment you call customer support, Uhaul ends up with no customers in the future. Good by for good.

I have used this location 4 separate times and have had less than satisfactory experience 3 of them. Most of the employees are less than friendly some to the point of rudeness. My last experience there I pulled the vehicle in for return at 9:40 am, waited until 10:00 am with no help. Finally I went in and was promptly told to go wait by the truck. I said i had with no help and was told someone was out there. At 10:30 I took the key in and dropped it at the counter, still no help! Today I got the receipt and truck was checked in at 4:39 in afternoon. As I was leaving after dropping keys at desk the employee who told me to wait outside was working on his personal pick up truck. Just plain rude and lazy!!!

My son went in and picked up the trailer after it was not available at a different location, the pick up process was super quick and employees were very knowledgeable about rates and trailer details. Sara helped us at both pick up and drop off. She was very polite, efficient, and overall was very good at her job. When we returned the trailer we were met at our vehicle by 2 employees. Sara was helping train a new guy and she made sure to explain things to him and us as she went through the process. I would rate them 10/10. Very clean trailer and store, quick, and if anyone is having a stressful time moving i recommend going to see Sara, she is fabulous!

The app give me instructions all the way to picking up the key, once I clicked I received the key, the app send the link expired. I did not enter the odometer result because the app error and I had a lengthy process of talking to the customer service people just for them to tell me that I can take the truck and the info for the odometer was already in the system. There was still a U-Haul worker in the store and I tapped on the glass and explained the situation to him. All he said was once I start with the app he can’t assist me anymore. Everything has to be with the app. He was absolutely no help.

My hitch installer, Robert Anderson (Also the manager) was very professional and courteous. Until other staff came on he was installing my hitch and running to the front desk for early customers. He worked very hard on the installation and saved me some money I believe since this was an hourly rate job. This is the second activity with Robert and I feel he exemplifies what customers are looking for. The other staff I met were also friendly and helpful.

All of the employees at locations I have been to are very helpful. Whoever is in charge of their reservation process and procedures though, should be fired. I made a reservation four days in advance two weeks ago, and the trailer wasn't there for me at agreed upon place, date, and time. Last weekend same thing, made the reservation and they did have the trailer, but did not have a furniture dolly for me which I had also reserved in advance. I'm sure everyone enjoys moving as much as I do, and these extra little annoyances, really add to the joy. Not!

Be careful with "gas efficient" u-haul trucks. They require fewer gallons to fill up than regular u-haul trucks. Used paper guide to determine the amount of gallons needed to fill up Half-Tank to return it and ended up overfilling gas tank.

My reservation was switched to this location away from my home due to not having the truck and the trailer. I had to wait an additional 2 hrs. The manager damaged the bottom of my Lexus trying to get it on the ramp. This caused more time to be wasted. The drop off location closed and I informed them due to the situation I will have to come tomorrow afternoon and that my contract was extended by one day. Upon arrival to the drop off location they refused to honor the extended day and refused to accept the truck. I did not want to leave the truck there on the street because if it became damaged/vandalized I would be accountable. I drove the truck back into town and was charge more than my original contract. I will no longer give insulin my business ever again.

The van was very dirty inside and out. Dog hair on the seats and lots of dirt/dust. Outside was very dirty. I was told it "give the vehicle character" when I rented the van. Then told they only wash the vehicles when they service them. I've rented from this location before when Sarge was manager and vehicles were well maintained. Very disappointed. They even first gave me a van that the previous customer had animals in and it was very obvious (smell, mud, etc.)

The wait in line time was ridiculously long. There was only one person helping. After 10-15 min they still weren't done. I'm not sure what was taking so long. Another manager, I think, came to help and he processed me very quickly so that the other customers left almost the same time I did. By then there were 5 more people in line waiting. There must be a faster way to sign up. I am sure it helped that my information was already in the system but the whole process seems very tedious and lengthy. Surely there is an easier, more efficient way.

The motorcycle trailer worked properly and I believe it was well maintained as far as tires and bearings are concerned. However, there was a lot of tree debris inside the trailer that I had to remove before I used it. From a safety standpoint, there was a large hole (approx. 4 to 5 inch diameter) in the mesh tailgate ramp. While loading a motorcycle, a person could easily get their foot caught in the hole and seriously injure themselves. I would recommend that it be repaired immediately. Overall, I had a good experience.

One suggestion is when it is closer to the end of the day and everyone trying to return equipment is showing up last minute, maybe a few more customer services representatives available would be best. Another suggestion is customer parking, having to have someone wait for me on a busy street in front of the store was not good. people drive that main street very fast and it is not a safe area to have to wait.
