Interacted with three different employees all lacking in customer service skills - no smiles, no pleasantries, no explanation of important info (I was first time renter), and looked bothered when asked questions. The truck had parts caked in mud, tons of dents and scratches, the brakes squeaked awfully, and the cab smelled of body odor.Marco L.

At pickup the person that helped me out had no people or customer service skills. She was clearly only interested in listening to others conversations than helping me. The first trailer I hooked up to had cut wires for lights and I had to lift that one off and hook up to a different one. Employees at the checking desk are rude & unfriendly . Them to top it off I couldn't park my new car in their customer parking. I had to drive around for 1/2 an hour I 108 degree heat! Conrad was the only one who was courteous. They also tried to charge me $60 for gas! Bullshit! I'll never do business at this location again!Carol U.
The young ladies at the desk were very nonchalant and made no effort to a ssist. The first truck that was shown as the rental, did not have a functioning roller door and the interior was in very poor shape. However, the manager was accommodating and assigned another truck. The second truck had a check engine light the entire duration of the rental period. It drove very sluggish but we were able to complete our move. The young man who assisted with the return of the truck was very professional and did a good job. Overall not bad, but could be better.srinivas N.
The truck smelled like cigarettes, the truck was on empty and the manager who was wearing a green shirt that day went out of her way to be rude to me. When I walked into the store and was talking to a different employee they were helpful, he was looking up what they had available and he was answering my questions. The manager yelled over her shoulder that there were no trucks for me. There was an available truck out front. I rented the truck. She got angry and insisted that it was reserved or that it needed maintenance. It wasn't reserved and didn't need maintenance, I know this because we checked. She was so angry that I was renting the truck at this point she stormed off. When I came back to drop off the truck she rolled her eyes at me. She was gabbing onto one of the male employees and laughing. She had her hands all over his body and was making no effort to be professional. The man looked uncomfortable. She then yelled at one of the younger guys to help me. She was incredibly rude to both of the boys who work there. Talked down to them, yelled at them, she gave them dirty looks. This woman was so bad at what she did it was almost as if she was apart of some tv show where they really exaggerate how bad the customer service is. My partner also got heat sickness in the truck. The A/C sucks. Just to be clear the two younger guys who were working yesterday did a good job and I have no complaints about them, it's everything else I have a problem with.Alli W.

Reserved a 15 foot, but was told I was â€œupgradedâ€ to a 17 foot truck. When I asked if any 15 foot trucks were available they said no. The 17 foot truck did not have a functioning latch on the back, and they swapped me into a 15 foot truck, of which they had manyCurran B.

I have rented for several times. The last time, the van was picked up i t was dirty. Still charged $25 for the cleaning fee. The van was picked up around closing time so rather than going into the office, pictures were taken and sent in. Jephrey Neville was the driver. Ubox cancelled my reservation after they had already picked up my stuff. When I called, they had no idea what happened. This was the most stressful move- Uhaul did not make this easy. To top it off, the driver hit my mother's car when she dropped off the Ubox in NJ. Complete lack of organization and professionalism from start to finish.Emily J.
Awful. Just Awful. I had rented a 20foot truck for 1 day and did the reservation online. I also reserved 1 dolly and 1 furniture dolly. When I went to pick up the truck they did not have any furniture Dolly's available. The employees were rude and not very helpful. Did not come across professional at all. The truck had a quarter tank of gas. The engine check light was on and it smelt like mold in the cab. I wanted a different truck but, was told no other 20ft. Trucks were available. The truck was missing the gas cap so it smelt like gasoline every time we loaded the back. After we finished we went to put gas in it. Paid $25 and tried to start the truck and it wouldn't start. After getting it started the gas gauge said it was still on E. So I put $25 more in gas. Same problem starting. The it jumped to 1/2 a tank. So, missing or faulty equipment, mold, and unprofessional employees.Paul H.

The rental clerk should point out in the contract that if you return the equipment early (after hours), you need to go online and check it inâ€"OR you will be charged a $20 fee. I was unaware and the contract print is so small it's hard to even read. I thought the location was open from 7am to 7pm like every other day. I came shortly after 7am and discovered the opening hour was 9am. There was no way to easily back out or turn around by myself. I decided to leave the trailer and call at 9am. I called at 9am and was on hold for 5-10 minutes. I finally spoke to the call center and confirmed the email charging me a $20 after hours service charge. I was surprised and very disappointed. I thought I was doing a good deed by returning the equipment 7 hours early. I have rented from Uhaul many times over the years and this is the first time I have experienced this. If possible, I request a waiver of the fee. This gesture of goodwill by Uhaul would be greatly appreciated. Merci.Randall B.

The parking lot is very congested. I was not given the pads I paid for and when I called I got customer service. They sent me to a Uhaul where I was and told me they had 30 pads (I paid for 12) but when I went to get them they did not have them after several searches with no luck I had to go buy some.GLORIA C.

There is inadequate parking for customers. This makes it very difficult to purchase supplies needed for a move. It is reasonable to not be able to leave your car there, but we need more parking spaces so we can purchase supplies.Albert N.
The hold on my ATM card is still on I need to buy something it would be nice if they would have removed it when alternate payment was made at return...I was told it was just an authorization it posted as a charge no biggie I'll be back at the end of the month for the same rental again every one was helpful....but it seemed odd that an employee would hand process a card on his personal phone instead of just have me go inside 🤔 is this company policy â“it posted to BofA correctly but didn't seem safespencer M.

Had trailer reserved for over 48 hours, when picking up the (then) realized it had a tail light out. Swapped it for a larger one (6x12, I had 5x8 reserved) at no added cost, but it was much larger and my little Jeep had difficulty pulling it up to Shaver Lake, and could not maneuver it in the tight, turning, uphill approach to garage I was meant to clean out. As a result, I was unable to pick up the large safe that I was meant to get. Total waste of time, money, and a tank of fuel.Jonathan C.

After picking up a trailer for a one way rental and nearly completing loading it, I discovered that U-Haul had provided me with a trailer that had no license plate. I called U-Haul and after over two hours either on hold or talking to three different "customer service" representatives, no one seemed able to help me. One of the customer service representatives even suggested I call the emergency roadside assistance number. I did, and received an automated message telling me the estimated wait time was 45 minutes! Not very comforting if I was actually broken down by the side of the road. I finally returned to the original rental location (another 30 minute drive) and waited ANOTHER 45 minutes for them to print a temporary license number. In summary, I was provided with a trailer that was not properly equipped for travel, I wasted an enormous amount of time on the phone trying to get the issue corrected speaking with people who were of no help, and spent an additional ridiculous amount of time returning to the rental center to finally get the issue resolved. Customer service is apparently not a high priority at U-Haul.Mark K.

You were misinformed about the fuel in the tank..You stated that the tank was 3/8 it was a short 1/4. I drove the truck 25 miles and it took 9,3 gallons to get the fuel tank to 3/8 for the return. That was $50 in fuel to drive 25 miles!Boyd H.
You can improve on customer service. Cleanliness, the restrooms were so disgusting and with a long wait is unacceptable. You should have a line for people who have reservations. Also returning the truck outside of business hours sucks. I had to redo it 5 times to submit the return. I kept getting kicked out. If nobody was with me I wouldn't have been able to complete it. The contract clearly showed 3/16 of a tank. The clerk said I would get a cred of 15 plus if I returned the vehicle with 1/4 of a tank. She told me to take a picture if it was not at this level. I took a picture wgich showed the vehicle number and the mileage at checkout. It was below empty and the light was on. I drove 35 miles and put in over 6 gallons before even driving 5 miles and it barely peaked above empty. 6 gallons should have well exceeded the amount I used. The clerk who inspected the vehicle said it was acknowledged as empty when i checked it out, so there was only a credit if I returned it at 1/4 tank. There is a bigger difference between 3/16 and empty than there is between 3/16 and 1/4 tank. It would have cost me more than the credit to get it to a quarter tank. The response was that gas gets stolen, so that is why they have us refill. It seems to me that gas gets stolen and it gets charged to the next customer like it us their fault. Additionally i was told I could not park on the lot. I have a disabled persons special parking placard and I was denied this rightJulie C.
