Complained the whole time hooking up the trailer and was going to cancel my trailer because he claimed the lights were not working in my vehicle. I pushed the connector in they worked fine. Also, Complained the factory hitch needed adjustment but I disconnected and reconnected the trailer myself with no problem. At least the representative when I dropped it off was great.
Darrin F.Get off online. When you could go to store and get a truck the same day.... I don't see why abusiness such as this would decrease the available to its customers. I personally had to schedule online a week and a half out. To then pick up my uhual an hour away in PA.
Michael D.I reserved a 10 ft truck the morning of the app said my truck was ready. But then someone called to say they would not have a 10ft. They had a 15ft available. I questioned the fact that I had a reservation and they should give me the 15 at ghe 10 price. The guy basically said tough crap. So I said whatever. But now today another charge came thru on my card for $35. I called the store and the guy said it was the hold. Well the hold shouldn't come through 3 days later!! I also asked the guy about the whole reservation mess, he said I should've been given the 15ft at the 10ft price!!! So he told me to call the manager tomorrow morning. Which I will do. But this is a horrible way to do business!!

I appreciated the fact they did a price check to ensure if a one way rental was more cost efficient to me than the costs associated with the pickup and drop off of the rental at the same site.Absolutely the first time this has ever happened for me in the rental process.

Randy M.This reservation was initially made at Cross Keys Mini Storage in New Oxford. Information was called in, as this reservation is on behalf of a tax-exempt organization. The date of the reservation, the building was closed and locked during my scheduled pick-up time. The owner arrived 30 minutes late only to tell me the truck was in Gettysburg; not New Oxford as it should have been. I then had to drive 30 minutes out of my was after already being behind schedule to pick-up and load. Upon arriving at Gettysburg, I was told NOT to submit my tax-exempt paperwork until after I returned. This had already been emailed to the location I was supposed to be renting from in the first place, but now that I was at a new location, I needed to submit it again. There was no apology or discount offered, which I think ought to be considered being this whole situation put us miles away and hours behind schedule. When I returned, I was told I cannot submit my tax-exempt paperwork! It had to be submitted when picking up the vehicle. I was charged a fully-taxed amount, which I would imagine is illegal being this was on behalf of a tax-exempt organization! Again no apology, no attempt to right the wrong, simply a bill $300 higher than I was quoted. I was told "call uHaul directly". I am fairly confident I will never use this service again after this experience. Very disappointed in both the lack preparation, guidance, and customer service.

Robert S.The app froze on our phones when we tried to order online. When we called hold time was stated as 10-20 minutes but when requesting a callback it said 40 mins to an hour. 5 minutes later we got a text saying they tried to call us back but were not able to. My phone never rung. But once we got into the store service was fabulous. They have a great employee working there he just seems to need additional staff to help him with all the customers. The Carlisle U-Haul was out of moving vans but the Gettysburg location was able to rent us one last minute on a Saturday.

Robert S.Check in on Saturday morning was extremely slow and the vehicle I reserved was not available but the owner made adjustments that made things smoother. I was anxious driving a box truck but it was easier than I thought.

Jacob S.1. The person who checked me out did not complete the paperwork correctly. The fuel gauge should have been 1/4 tank and it was marked higher. 2. The A/C did not work. 3. Windshield Wipers were rotted and were miserable. 4. The brake booster had a vacuum leak.

DAVID M.Bad uneven seal on shed door at bottom. Rat poison dispensers and mouse glue traps on floor inside my assigned shed. Employee told me unit is not as temperature regulated as website claims. Also told me there was a flood at these units the week before & renters had to be called about it. Manager of facility absolutely refused to give me even a partial refund, even though I returned less than 24 hrs later to retrieve my stored items the very next day after renting the unit! I stood in front of employee who called their manager, and she did not even hesitate to say no to my refund request. The employee was aware that I was retrieving my stuff, but they marked my move out date almost a month later as a ploy to keep my money. I've trusted u-haul my entire life. (I'm in my 50's) but am utterly appalled and disappointed in this u-haul location and their lack of decency and professionalism!!!

I WAS TOLD THE UNITS AT THIS FACILITY HAD RECENTLY FLOODED. THIS STORAGE LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN UNITS IN THE ONLINE VIDEO. I WAS ASKED BY THE EMPLOYEE ON DUTY FOR MY LOCK CODEWORD ON THE $15 LOCK I HAD JUST PURCHASED. WHEN I TOLD HIM I FELT UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THAT HE SAID HE DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE IT. ALSO, I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION BY U-HAUL'S ONLINE ADVERTISEMENT THAT THESE UNITS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE CLIMATE CONTROLLED. I WAS HOWEVER TOLD THAT THESE UNITS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO EXTREMES OF BOTH HEAT AND COLD. THE STUFF I PLANNED TO STORE WOULD HAVE BEEN AT RISK. I RETURNED THE FOLLOWING MORNING, THE DAY AFTER I HAD RENTED THIS UNIT, TO RETRIEVE MY ITEMS. I DID NOT FEEL THEY WERE SAFE THERE. I ASKED FOR A PARTIAL REFUND SINCE I HAD RENTED THIS UNIT FOR LESS THAN 24 HOURS, AND WAS REFUSED BY THE MANAGER THAT THE PERSON ON DUTY CALLED ON THE PHONE. I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A REFUND FOR 3 WEEKS NOT USED, SINCE MY STUFF WAS THERE OVERNIGHT.
