Overall a great experience. The only thing that I would point out is that customer parking is not well marked. But the staff was friendly and efficient and the equipment was in great condition and functioned perfectly.

The truck I reserved was not there when I went to pick it up. I reserved a 20 foot truck, and ended up using a 10 foot truck. (Cesar, the morning guy said I would be compensated for my trouble.) The miles back and forth doubled, and I was charged more because of it. I am supposed to have some sort of inquiry into everything, to sort it all out, but so far, no one called me back, and in the meantime, I have been charged 3 seperate amounts. I used one small truck for one day, returning the next day, and I paid up front $168.29. Then, the next day, I get another charge for $48.14. They say for an extra day I didn't take, and finally another charge for $200.64. It looks like the same contract number for the 3rd charge, but now I've spent a grand total $417.07, for renting one 10 foot truck for one overnight. This is ridiculous. I will never use U-Haul again. Take your business elsewhere.

As of right now I was charged for the wire kit installed, ball and ball mount the light conversion installed and the hitch installed. I have only received the hitch!!!! This is insane, U-Haul had the car for 4 hours. Wife paid for Uber to take her back to work after drop off and paid Uber to bring her back to pick the car up and only received a hitch installed. I don’t know at this time because they are closed , no explanation of why all the other items that were paid for we did not receive. This was scheduled one week before install date so was I ripped off or????

Our Uhaul was presented to us completely dirty inside and out. It was "just returned the night before and hadn't been cleaned yet" the back was covered in sticky, dirty stains and the front of the truck was covered in dirt and dust and looked like it had never been cleaned. This was for a one way drop off and we were told we would get one of the "nicer trucks" this was for contract # 719057

Great experience! Avi runs a good group and everything went smoothly AT the Glendale location. A couple of female phone reps at off site call centers were really grumpy. Not customer friendly unlike the three guys AT the Glendale Uhaul who were terrific. Phone chicks need to up their game when booking; "fake" being friendly, if they can.

Worse experience I ever had! The beginning was perfect the guy was so nice we rented the truck for 24 hrs they told us we had to be back on 6-30-2019 at 2:30 pm which we did we were like 15 min late because we had to put gas to the truck and there was traffic. When we arrived some worker told us that we can just throw the key in the box and leave because they were super busy which we did. Today I realized they charged me an extra day because apparently we didn’t give the truck back until today. That is a lie. If they have cameras which I’m sure they do they can review that we were there because I was inside the store waiting in line to give the key back. I want my money back that was illegally taken. The truck we rented had an alignment issue. Other then that, it went well. The guys at 1313 Brand, Glendale, CA are always handling customer after customer with patients yet at a very fast pace so they can assist the customers to get to where they need to go fast. I tried Budget Truck Rental and it was a nightmare! I know UHaul Truck Rentals is where my had earned money is going anytime I need to rent a truck.

It took 5 days to get a receipt. Apparently their system froze and all recorded final information was lost. GM was very nice but he had to guess final mileage and add a "credit" to bring it to correct amount. A good will credit should have been given on top of that for the wasted time and lack of organization. Had I not checked amounts I would have been overcharged. This location is also grossly understaffed. One guy can't handle all the business. Terrible set up at this location.

Was supposed to be called back about when U-boxes can be delivered and never heard back. For months now we’ve been told by staff they can’t find our reservation or can’t access it. Our U-boxes are in Glendale we’ve physically seen them (and been charged storage fee) and yet no one can help us get them delivered. Would never use Uhaul again for a move. It’s not the staff of Glendale’s fault, but the disorganization at the company.

Giving customers an estimate on how many miles a gallon of gas would cover on a full U-haul would really help them when it's time to fill the tank up to the below 1/2 tank criteria. I wasted $25 dollars putting in a half a tank of gas.

Nothing, as far as I can see as far as the location is concerned. It went smoothly from start to finish at the location thanks to the guy handling the rental. Trying to make an online reservation didn't go very smoothly for me and I ended up calling to make the reservation rather wasting more time. I had to keep going back to correct wrong info, only to find it changed again by the time I got to the end. It was very frustrating at the time, but it went well as soon as I called to make the reservation. No more online reservations for me.

Fellow there was very good and professional. The truck was not clean and quite old. It drove fine. Where normally you have a cigarette lighter/charger, there was an empty hole, so could not keep my phone charged throughout the long trip. Very annoying!

after i rented the truck before i move out from the parking lot, i found that the gars was not half which the employee informed me on the contract. I went back to the office and claimed it. Later when i returned back and i went back to the same employee about the gas and i showed him the picture of the gas level. he said that he will charge me the gas accordingly but in fact, they charged me as full gas tank. I called 3 times Uhaul but no one care and customer service said that i lied. i even send the picture but they said that they can not prove it is from the truck. and also they charged me $25 cleaning fee because i left a arrowhead water bottle at the cup holder. To remove one arrowhead water bottle from the cup holder .....$25 charged!!!

Reserving on-line was very easy; but picking up using the App was a disaster. Uhaul.com was prompting me to make a reservation (select vehicle, etc) but I could not find a link that allowed me to pick up the vehicle I already reserved. I ended up falling in line for counter assistance, behind 4 people who got there after I did. Wasted my time trying out the App.

Front cab was filthy, engine smelled like it was going to overheat. The staff was very nice, but their computers were down plus they were under staffed so both pick up and drop off took longer than they should have. I was moved to this location after confirming my reservation at another preferred location. Makes no sense how I can use the online system to reserve and then it gets changes. Overall hard to rate as a good experience.

I’ve worked before at s place called ASCENCIA, a homeless agency to help people in crises. I really liked the very welcoming and respectful services I got fro U-HAUL GLEDALE.... not any othe place.... simply.... they are incredibly customer focused ( as any serious business should be). The truck is older with lots of scratches on the out side and a lot of them were not marked. It is a waste of time to have us go over and take pictures of all of them. They should have been marked before handed it over to us. But that is not my main concern. I felt the engine is not kept in very good condition. I was worry the truck wasn't going to make it. Luckily I only need to move some boxes within a short distance. I wouldn't recommend for a longer distance move at all.

My drop of location was originally suppose to he J&E auto service When I went there to drop off the truck the guy over there was so horrible and rude and disrespectful and as soon as I told the guy that I'm here to drop off the truck he just said take it somewhere else I don't take it! And I told him but my contract shows here and he simply said I don't care! I can't understand why does U-Haul even have a contract with this disrespectful and very very angry person the location is small and inconvenient and the guy is just horrible. After driving many hours and being tired of moving the last thing you want to do is to deal with such creature ! The gentleman at the brand location was very nice and helpful and great service and attitude and should be recognized for his excellent customer service . Thank you and please take care of the way the A&E auto service deals with your customers at his place

The truck had a significant problem with the ignition lock. The key would not turn without turning the steering wheel more than a quarter turn. Most drivers would not understand how to solve the problem. When I returned the truck I was told to leave it in the driveway and had no opportunity to report the issue. This is a very busy site and there was only one employer on duty, and he was installing a hitch and did not offer to help with checking the truck in. I had to search to find him. Other customers were also waiting.

This place was fine. Our reservation had been screwed up at least three times by the scheduler.we had to find our own local storage after being told they had a free month of storage for us after using a 26’ truck. It ended up costing a lot more, and had to use an extra day to locates storage. It wasn’t the fault of the Glendale location though.

The employee clearly didn't want to work with me once I got to the van. I had no idea how to change the side mirrors, which made driving dangerous. He should offer to instruct renters how where the controls are, how to open/lock/unlock the doors, etc. If the renter already knows, then great, but he should always offer. His whole demeanor was that he didn't want to be at the van any longer than necessary. The right blinker didn't work; usually I check things like blinkers when I rent, and I've never had a problem so didn't bother checking this time; clearly that was a mistake. The equipment should be checked every time someone brings it back. There were renting instructions that should just be part of the process (like besides the per mile fee, gas must be added, which I assumed but is not obvious, since there's a per mile fee).

It was just a bit difficult to check out using your mobile app. For some reason, it did not have my reservation registered and then, when it finally did, it would take forever to take me from one step to the next... at the end, I had to return to the location to clear the bill. The van had never been rented to anyone, so it was new to this location, yet they rented it to me with dog hair on the seats, sticky soda stains on the floor, food rappers on the floor, crumbs on the seats and floor, a dog bowl in the passenger side door, soda stains on the cup holder. And worse the jr. Customer service associate demonstrated the new damage check out system where I'm texted a link and I asses the photos, etc. But he tells me that the van is basically new so I don't have to check it if I don't want to. Long story short, I didn't check the roof of the van and neither did he, yet when I returned he checked the roof and found a massive dent and scratch and then accused me of doing it. And says to me "I know it was you that did it because we haven't rented this van to anyone else so it had to be you!" The manager checked the camera and the van was delivered in to them in that condition. And the photos in the damage report file didn't even match the van I drove, at all. The photo had 2 orange stickers on the roof, my van did not. They were accusing me of lying and saying I would have to pay to repair the damages, saying the no one has driven the van, even though the inside was road trip messy, WITH A DOG BOWL IN IT!!!! There were so many ways they could have verified it wasn't me before accusing me of absolute guilt. This is the worst U-haul experience in my over 20 years as a customer.

I got an email that I was to use the app to get my vehicle and then I was told at the location that no I had to wait in line. Then on the day I came in to return my vehicle I waited 20 minutes in the area where you pull in for returns and someone finally came up to me and says "you need to use the app to check in you vehicle." There is too much conflicting information. There should be a sign or an email that says I can check back in my vehicle, but can't pick up the vehicle with the app. The guy at uhaul who did help me rent a uhaul was great!

Glendale location did not open on time. Employees did not direct customers as to who arrived first so we got pushed to the back of the line even though we had arrived before other cutomers. There was not any direction for express check in customers. Even though website says cuts wait time in half we still had to wait like eveyone else.App did not run properly. 800 number Representatives were not helpful in trying to explain why App was not functioning. The inside of the truck was filthy with dog hair and food wrappers and a thick layer of dust. We arrived at 845 am did not leave with our truck until after about 1015am.

I used the app to pick up the truck and I would not do that again! It is very time consuming to complete and in the end it tells me to ask the front desk for the keys. They were busy with other guests so I had to wait.

I initially rented a u-haul van at a location close to my house. Two days before my pick up, I was told that I had to pick up my rental at a different location. This meant I had to take a Lyft in order to pick up the vehicle. HOWEVER, the guys at U-Haul on Brand were so wonderful, I completely forgave the extra money i spent on travel. Everything turned out PERFECTLY! Thank you so much for making my stressful day an easy peasy experience! XOXOXO

Understaffed and stated that I can have unlimited mileage and credit due to the truck was on empty if I take it and fill it up my self. But when I dropped off the truck I was told that U-Haul does not offer that and the rep denied that and end up taking back the credit they offered .. Plus the truck was not is a good working condition the radio does not work and it was dirty.

The UBox was guaranteed for delivery in Glendale on 6/30/18. It arrived on 7/2/18. No one could tell me where it was or when it would be delivered. UHaul owes me $150 for the three days it was late!
