This location is small. Picked my rental on a day that they were under staffed but everything worked out. The one individual there was helpful and courteous, and served every one as fast as possible.

The truck wasn’t at the location when I arrived to pick it up with my app. I had to wait for the place to open to find out what was going on, they stated the truck was stolen and they didn’t have any other truck for me they apparently transferred me to another location and they were very rude my order was never transferred so I was on the phone for another hour. They had no urgency to try to fix the problem.

My truck rental was made on June 5, 2019 for 11am at the Grissom location. Since that date, I had changed the pickup time to 12pm. I received confirmation of the time change but NEVER received notification that the location pickup had changed to the Ingram Park location. Needless to say, when I went to pickup the truck at Grissom, they told me I didn't have a reservation but eventually found it and said it had been changed to the Ingram Park location. This delayed my moving and moving help by an hour as the Grissom location said they didn't have a truck to rent to me and I had to travel to the other location to get the truck and come back to Grissom location where my storage unit was and my moving help was waiting. The employee at the Grissom location that first assisted me was very rude and was complaining that he wasn't even supposed to be working today and his day had been shit. Not helpful to me at all. Ingram Park location was helpful. Truck I picked up seemed old an unclean in the cab. Assistance at Ingram Park was superior to that at the Grissom location.

The guys help me out by having a 17 ft available instead of a 15 ft. Super friendly and my bill was way cheaper than expected. Super happy. My usual place off Grissom had ZERO options and I use them for my storage. Christopher Buitte and Kyle Thetford were awesome! Give those guys a raise and tell their manager to give them some help on the weekends.

I would highly suggest that the U-haul representative be more attentive to the customer. Greet the customer and engage in meaningful conversation in which he/she reassures the customer they will tend to their needs to the best of their abilities.

Customer service was very poor.. The Male that checked is out had ZERO people skills and when I returned the truck he was still there and when I tried to talk to him he literally pointed at the key slot and dismissed my questions walking away.. Uhaul you should be better at hiring people with some people skills I will probably use Penske next time.. Truck was fine.

Trailer Jack was left half down and scrapped the road, yard technician left a truck in reverse when he stepped out but managed to jump in before anyone got hurt and I was almost charged double but I caught it

The gas gauge was off to start. It waa2 marked at 1/4 tank but had 1/8. Mileage was off by 50 miles and they tried to make me pay. Overall a horrible location.

My first location, trailer never showed up redirected me to Ingram location. Wish someone would have contact me. No communication until I showed up at first location,Vance Jackson. Big difference in drive time

I filled the gas take up to full as per contract on the return of the rented box truck. I filled the gas tank up until the gas tank sensor released the nozzle handle which indicates a full tank. The gas station I filled up at was less than half a mile away. I was billed extra because the indicator on the box truck dash said it was slightly under full. Two things either happened, either the gas tank sensor is faulty in which I potentially drove an unsafe vehicle, or the gas tank gauge on the dash is faulty. This was quite the experience that would turn me towards another moving truck rental service.

Not enough staff. I had made a reservation for a car hauler online. This did not speed up the process at all. The clerk still asked for the same information twice and entered the info twice. Only one person working at location, and he had to do everything himself.I was the third person in line, so it took a while. Several more customers lined up shortly after I arrived. Mark, the person helping us, was very polite and helpful. We rented a car hauler and our personal vehicle had problems with the light working on the trailer. Our vehicle ended up having a burned fuse. It took him at least 15 minutes to solve the issue. Unfortunately for the waiting customers, they had a long delay. We had gone to the Grissom location before this, and they had a really long line. Not enough staff there ether. Not sure if one or two people working desk. Stood there 10 minutes and the clerk was still getting basic information from the same customer, so I finally left. Vehicle hauler seemed well maintained, but one hour into our trip, the trailer had a blowout. One of the wheel hubs had locked up, was bright red and caught on fire. We extinguished the fire. The representative on the phone was more interested in documenting the mishap with the trailer, than finding someone to go get us off the interstate, where vehicles are flying by at 75 mph. It took two hours before uhaul contacted us about the ETA (another 90 minutes) of the 2 tow trucks coming to help us. One for the vehicle we were towing and one for the disabled trailer. “Equipment malfunction”, that happens, despite good maintenance. I will still continue using them. They are a great company. They just need more help on peak days of operation.

The fellow that helped me went out of his way to make sure that my wiring connections were correct and worked properly, even to the point of making a harness that would work with my rig.

Miles in cargo van were 1016. On his sheet he gave me was 1003. Yes he did inform me but I was too into checking the van out before I drove it off. Instead of paying 20.00 he charged me 30.00 extra. I informed him on the mikes and he said I should if told him prior to driving off. He saw I was a female and he took his opportunity. Total dishonest. Word of mouth is the best method. I will definitely spread the word about him.

the location at Jany Corner Store on 1871 Bandera rd. San Antonio Tx. (210) 640-2098. Was the worst experience I have ever had with the U-haul Co. They should stick to selling groceries and not in the rental business. I was disgusted with the way the clerk treated me.

First of all, the first person there to greet me was not very friendly. Straight out I was told that because it was the end of the month I had to do reservations and did not take walk ins. I went online to do reservations and it still turn out to be in that same location. He did not bother to assist me and just told me that it was 1 hour wait. After waiting an hour they still did not have what I needed and offered me a bigger truck. Why did I waste an hour then? Fortunately another person came in and assisted me to do the contract. WHY IS A WALK IN A PROBLEM??? Maybe I was ignored cause I’m a woman. I don’t know but that location “that person” needs better customer service classes.

There's ALOT of stuff in that small office! I'm not claustrophobic, but with that low ceiling too, it's really cramped in there. Guys working there are great despite that though!
