The "reservation" process was a nightmare. It really isnt ok that when i make a reservation it is only tentative on your part.ROBERT G.
My rental was double booked and the other person was there 30 seconds before me and took the keys. The staff told me there was nothing they could do and I had to call U-haul even though I was standing at the u-haul. I got upset enough that she then searched for another vehicle nearby and reserved it. While waiting for my Uber a van return pulled up and I asked her if I could take that van but she told me it was for someone else who wasn't there yet. When I called to speak to customer service about the double booking he hung up on me when I asked for a discount. Finally a manager helped to give me a discount and apologized. I will go out of my way to use a different rental company the next time I move.Carley C.

Didn't know that two personal contacts were needed for mobile verification to check out the truck!!!! I wish the process was explained to me before I signed up for mobile pick up so that I wouldn't have stood there for 30 minutes trying to get approved. The team was ridiculously rude, I left feeling horrible like I did something wrong for simply asking questions. The lady helping me for the rental was so rude, literally â€œwhatever, I'm getting this over with so gimme your info nowâ€ I didn't know we could order online. I've never rented a truck before. They were so mean I kept the truck two extra days because my anxiety of dropping off was out of control. NEVER EVER EVER renting from this company again.Jason V.

The service person handling the equipment walked past me twice without even acknowledging me, the second time I could see he was checking Facebook on his phone. When I returned the equipment, there was no clear traffic control and it was difficult to pull in off a busy street. Didn't appreciate getting yelled at my an employee to back the trailer out into oncoming traffic.Ian D.

I had a reservation for a truck, for 6 hours, time did not reach me and I needed more time! Well, I called that place in Koreatown where a lady named "Chanel" attended me and I told her about my situation that I needed to extend, she treated me very badly and she told me that in no way could I extend that I had to return it at the time scheduled before because already After me there was a reservation, I asked her if she is tired or does not want to work because of the bad way she treated me and she said no, finally I called Uhaul.com and I told her that I need to extend and she tells me that of course I do. , I could extend my time and I ask her why Chanel said no and she tells me that she does not know what it is like, she had no idea what she was talking about, do not go there, very bad attentionJOSE S.

When we dropped off the truck the process was very easy. The person helping us was very nice. However, we had forgot the dolly at my daughters apartment. We brought it back the next morning. I walked in and the person behind the counter was on her phone did not look up. I asked to give my name so I could get credit for bringing it back and she proceeded to tell me it was not necessary as I would not be charged for it. Mind you the ENTIRE time she did not look up once from her phone.JOSEPH T.

The Heal manager was rude, didn't seem to know what equipment was available at the time of my reservation, there was a girl when I return the equipment that though she was given instructions to a pet and not a paying customer.. except for the young guy that check the trailer when I picked up and returned it, the customer service was lousy to say the least...RIGOBERTO H.
Juan Hugarte, the General Manager might need to be trained in providing decent Customer Service. It is we, the customers which help keep the business going. Mr. Hugarte was rude, would not let me speak nor ask questions which naturally I would have as a customer who does not frequently use U-Haul. He walked away from me and left me with some doubts. His smug, and self-aggrandizing posture does not go well with him being the representative of a corporation such as U-Haul which out to have the hallmark of superior Customer service. Should I ever need to do business with U-Haul, this location at 1600 S. Western will be one which I will avoid and just maybe, I'll share the bad experience on reddit and yelp.Pedro T.

The people at U-hall on Western in Korea Town were all wounderful, helpful, and knowalable. I found this to be true for both the pick up of the trailer, and the drop off. My only compliant is that the way U-hall charges (24 hour system) charges an extra day. From my calculation it should have been 9 days, but I was charged 10 days. This is a problem for U-hall, and may be illegal in California. It needs to be raised with U-Hall senior Legal Council, because I believe it will leed to a expensive defese under California, and possible other state laws. Despite the system over charging, it was a wounderful rental experience. Thank you, MarkMark G.

the online check in should tel you in advance that alertnate contacts or other ofrms of ID are required, that was a hassle, and return did not work very well due to issues with the app so Im very glad I rented on a slower day. Ive been with friends when there were LONG lines for check inRORY M.

The 5 x 9 trailer that I was supposed to rent had a flat, so the team was kind enough to upgrade me to the 6 x 12 trailer at no additional cost. That proved very helpful for my move and I thanked them when I returned. The location was very busy but everybody moved quickly so that all in line knew that the team was doing what they could to get everyone what they needed. Well-managed.Jeff C.
On pickup, the desk agent was very rude, on her phone having a personal conversation and made customers wait while she continued her conversation. Eventually she hung up her personal call and we could finally get our rental. On return, the Hispanic lady that helped me check in my rental was very helpful and kind. This location is convenient however, please replace the rude and obnoxious desk clerk serving customers. I own a business and I would be appaled to have someone like that desk clerk working at my establishment as the first person a customer meets. I'd rather go our of my way and do business elsewhere. I'll never rent from this location again. Ever! I tried to support the community, but this place makes it impossible. Two thumbs down.TRACEY J.

This Uhaul location was a mess. There were trucks and vans piled up all around the exterior, with people jumping the curb to get the trucks into the lot because the entrance was blocked off by so many vehicles. There were no staff on site so I don't think this was their fault, but perhaps there should be better signage so that when people drop off their rentals, they don't block the entrance.Amanda M.

Make it clear online the location's operating hours and that additional items like bags and dollys will not be able to be accessed after hours. I had to start a completely new reservation and didn't get many of the things I needed. I will be looking towards other truck rental services in the futureSonaiya K.

The first person that came to inspect the cargo van said that I would be responsible for several scratches. The GM, Juan Hugarte corrected him that they were already there just not notes. Then we saw some dirt that I thought was sap from parking under a tree but when I went I wipe it off, it was dried and evidently already present and had not been cleaned. While showing it, a sent was discovered. Juan immediate told me that I was at fault and suggested that I hit the tree it was parked under. I explained that I would have known if had I hit a tree with the impact to leave a dent and the location of the was not aligned with the tree. Without listening to reason, He continued to insinuate that I was at fault and he would watch the video to see if I'd be charged for damages. The behavior wasn't acceptable from the start of the rental process. He didn't have interpersonal or conflict resolution skills to interact with people as the General Manager.kIEREN B.
