There was a very rude employee who pulled in to the parking lot and started yelling at my husband and I to move our car. He claimed we were in "employee parking' although there was no signage. He also started honking at another car that was pulling in to the parking lot. He was driving a black Lexus and tall Latino male. I would not recommend anyone come to this location merely because of this rude associate.

Customer Service Rep Shaila at the location was OUTSTANDING in resolving a billing issue. Her professioanl approach and conduct was excellent. SUGGESTION: Perform more thourogh check out and review agreement prior to departing to ensure customer understands full depth of the rental.

The one way in is terrible on PCH trying to turn into the establishment was hard in that big truck but other than that I had a great experience here

Slow customer service. One employee was not wearing a mask. Lack of directions on where to get the truck rental once reserved. Stood in line even though I was supposed to go outside to get truck. Cashier did not explain that I needed to add the gas I utilized.

I waited in line a long time to be helped while the manager took smoothie orders and then was overcharged (charged for two trucks as well as overcharged for gas refill), but was told they couldn't fix it and transferred me to customer service and now I have to wait until Thursday just to hear back.

The vehicle was dirty, unkempt and it appears your organization has not put in covid19 safety procedures in places. the vehicle was on empty no gas. the store manager needs o be retrained and the store operates like his brain. Horrible experience !

This is the second time I have been to this location during last two weeks. Both, I got really upset. I will start with the second time which is related to this reservation. I dropped by the location and asked for a motorcycle utility trailer. The lady serving me checked the system and assigned one of the two standing outside. When she was preparing the contract, she started asking questions about when I will return the equipment. As I know how short UHaul is sometimes on the equipment these days, I answered honestly that I will probably return it in couple of hours and I know the procedure to return it during off hours. She said, “ok, I am writing here 9:00pm” and hit the enter. I said, is this not the daily rate? Why are you limiting me with the time? If I can't return it during the time I estimate, I don't want to deal with late charges and she logged in again to change the contract. I felt she was trying to push me to pay extra by using my own words. I felt really tired that night and secured the trailer and returned it the next morning. The guy who was taking the trailer from me quickly said “fortytwoand something is that ok?“ I said why is that sir? $14 for the rental, $8 for the insurance, it should be 22something and after clicking plenty times on his hand held device he corrected the amount. I had the same feeling that I was tried to be ripped off. Then when I had a careful look on the contract I was given by the lady the day before, I figured that she put there a $20 fee for returning the equipment during off time, which I never saw before. I just returned one of your trucks late in the night to some other location and there was no such fee neither on the contract nor on the final bill. The previous one, I went to this place three days ahead to get a reservation for a 15' moving truck on saturday. They made an appointment for 9:00am in the morning and secured a $90 on my credit card. I went to the place to get my truck at 10:45am. I was answered that my reservation was cancelled and they gave the truck to someone else. I said I made all the arrangements to move that day and not having the truck puts me in real bad situation, how could that be? And the guy raised his voice asking me if I let them know if I was going to be late? I said yourself made the reservation couple days ago and never mentioned that I should be on time to pick it up, nothing is written on the reservation stating any such timeframe, nobody gave me a call to ask me if I was coming or not and they already have my credit card details and got a 90$ reservation blocking on my card. Then the guy started raising his voice even more and I figured out that I wasn't getting anywhere with this person and would not benefit from escalating the issue, so just pulled out and went to another UHaul location, waited for two three hours and got another truck which was a cancelled reservation. The guy who gave me the truck stated “PCH location is so well known for cancelling reservations without a call” and he was not surprised with my story. Whatever, started moving at 2:30 pm, killed myself and the moving guys to complete the moving that day, of course paid a lot of extra as they worked late. I have been living at Long Beach since two years; this UHaul location is not new to me but this attitude surely is new and it is not good to me. I surely am not going to this location again. The people working the counter we're incompetent. They had a hard time locating my reservation, expected next day return even though I stated I was traveling 1300 miles (I get 5 days but the employees were so idiotic they couldn't remember their own company policy), they didn't come check the truck with us, the truck's gas valve was broken, and there were questionable solicitors outside (on business property) handing out ripped paper with a phone number so they can help you move. No thanks.

The inside of the truck was disgusting. It clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. The cupholders had grease in the bottom. There was an old french fry laying on the passenger side footwell. the dolly mount was broken. I reserved dollies and they were not in the truck when I arrived. Really shoddy operation. All of my previous UHaul experiences have been great. This experience was really bad.

The truck seemed like it was on its last legs. Ride was really bumpy (truck was 20ft and about three-quarter full) and transmission revved too high before shifting. Also exterior was dinged up a bit and inside of cab had what looked like coffee stains.

You need to notify customers of changes and possible charges prior to them leaving. I was charged for 3 days on a INE day rental that came back late and was never told about late self check in. Totally not happy about being charged $75 dollars for a single day trailer rental.

Let me say that the STAFF at this location is EXCELLENT! Very helpful, pleasant, great customer service. My bad review is for the location and management. You need to do something about the homeless problem. I almost drove off in my rental truck with homeless people SLEEPING IN THE BACK! So, I had to wait for a different, clean truck. Invest in some fencing, locks, or something. It is very offputting to load all of your belongings (clothes, bedding, etc.) into a truck which has been housing homeless, not knowing if they have bedbugs or whatever. Also, you need to ditch your relationship/recommendations of MOVINGHELP.COM. They are AWFUL. The movers never showed up. Couldn't reach any customer service. This put me hours behind schedule and added much stress to moving day. MovingHelp.com also holds your money for quite awhile before refunding - I think they are a scam all the way around and will never use them again.

There was plenty of trash left behind under the driver's seat, including a used mask!! Disgusting. The truck also shook violently going over 40 and would get stuck shifting between gears, especially on the freeway at around 50-60 mph. Employees were nice though.

It took over an hour to get my schedule reservation. I signed up for the 24/7 Pick up service and this location deliberately do not set this up and they said they had not been doing it for over a week. This information was not mentioned anyone online. And the AC did not work properly, and on a day that had temperatures over 100°F it ended up being a big deal. Also after relaying all this info to the staff I saw that 0 action was taken.

everyone was very helpful, but, we had just pulled out of your drive way and the noise from the trailer was really loud and I went down to the first street and pulled off and the whole trailer was just held on by the chains, the part with the ball on it was dragging on the ground. the pins were in it, but it had not been put in properly. my friend with me was able to replace the piece properly and i went back to your yard and the kid there told me it was my faulty hitch and I needed to replace the whole unit,{without even coming from behind the counter or looking at it,} Because my friend had put it on correctly we continued to do what we had to do with the trailer with no problem and I reported to different people when I returned the trailer. I'm sure from your files you can find out the names of the kid behind the counter and the kid who "attached" the trailer and maybe give them a good lecture and some more training. by the way when the installer put the part with the ball in the first time he put it in upside down and we pointed out what he had done he just said oh, and turned it over. Thank God he had attached the chains properly!!!! I have rented from there before and this was the first {and I hope the only time} there was a problem.

I set my reservation up through my mobile phone. I anticipated a more seamless experience and found it was no different than the usual process. I waited in line just as long. The Customer rep had an issue finding my information as well. It wasn't a bad experience. Just need to work the kinks in the mobile reservation process.
