I waited for 15 minutes to pick up my truck. There was no associate in the store. I could hear them talking in a back room. The other person in the store and I went out and in several times to sing the bell in hopes they’d come help us. I’m very thankful I checked in online so that I didn’t have to wait through that process as well.

Well they charged me a 100 dollar deposit because they said my card was a prepaid card and it's not my name is it and it is through a bank my disability check goes directly there. Then when I took truck back to the location in Indianapolis IN the guy that was working can't subtract evidently because he said I went over a hundred miles so he kept 40 and told me to call the 800 number to talk to them about it. And he said his phone doesn't lie and I told him mine doesn't either. I figured the mileage and it was 93.9 miles. I feel.like your company get your hands on other people's money you think you can say and do what you want with the money. Legal theifs !

Very disappointed in my recent experience. Booked a 10’ truck for pick up at 4:30pm. Changed to 5:30pm. Got email confirmation of change. When I showed up was told my location pick had been changed. No one called to notify me & ask if I could go there. It was too far west & the cost would have been way more than I had planned. Told girl to cancel. She wasn’t able to. Tried calling other location. No answer. She had 10’ trucks on the lot (3 of them ) and said they were reserved. I showed her my original confirmation & said so was mine & I was there. She tried to rent one to me & said it wouldn’t let her. I ended up calling the 800# who moved the reservation back to where I was. What a hassle. Lost an hour trying to resolve this. Not happy with this experience at all.

the speed of customer service it took over 20 mins to get truck that was reserved and no customers ahead of me.

The staff were friendly and helpful with the truck rental. However, the dolly provided had a broken bar across the back on which I cut myself during the move. This required me to go the hospital for a tetanus shot. While the staff at this location were good, I was extremely upset and disappointed with my overall experience with UHaul. I was led to believe many things that were not true, conditions and plans were changed on me at the last minute, and I felt that I did not matter to UHaul as a customer. In the end, I will NOT recommend using UHaul services due to the misleading information I was given regarding what is already a very stressful time for most people. I expected much more than what was provided.

This isn't related to this specific location, but the online "checkout" process was a disaster. First, I didn't get the directions to take pictures of the fuel gauge until after I had already dropped off the key, so I couldn't take those pictures. Secondly, each new picture I had to take required me to switch to the camera app on my phone to take the picture, then when I switched back to upload the image, the process started all over again. After restarting three times and then being told that the first picture I had taken of the odometer was now too old, I finally gave up.

I was there before the store opened, and there was a line of customers (I was at the front of the line). However, since I did not have a reservation, the employee made me stand aside and wait until everyone with a reservation was done, rather than helping me. I was able to get on my phone and made a reservation before the line was finished. This experience was frustrating and embarrassing. Also, the car dolly had a taillight out, and I was forced to purchase the magnetic taillights in order to use the equipment legally, as the employee advised that there was nothing that he could do about it.

Every time I have rented a uhaul I've had to wait forever in line. They have one person working the counter and a line of 6 or 7 people at all times. I'm sure you make millions in profit, it wouldn't put much of a dent in that to add another employee.

Reserved a 20’ truck 4 days prior to wanting to use on a sat from 930am -4 pm got email confirmation right away saying we’d be contacted two days prior for exact location since their was such a high demand. Didn’t get a call until 730pm from uhaul stating the 20” foot truck was unavailable so we could get a 17” or a 26” for the same price we said the 17 would work. Got to location they gave us a 10” others weren’t available. So we had to make two trips when we wanted to accomplish the move in one considering you pay .99c a mile, oh and we had to pick it up at a location farther out than the one we reserved. Not happy but won’t be moving hopefully in the near future. If you reserve a truck I’d recommend doing it a few weeks in advance and contacting them a few days prior to make sure it’s still yours...

Customer service was terrible. They handed me the keys and said your truck is out front. There were 2 and I had to go back in to find out which one. Was not happy, no one came out to show me which truck was mine. They just said look at the number on the key. It took me a few minutes to find the number on the truck. Will never go back again.

It's a little deceiving when you make a reservation for 9am and the store doesn't even open until 9am. Got there at 8:45 so I could get the paperwork done so I could hit the road to make sure I got the full 4 hours on my rental. Wasn't able to leave until 9:15 or so.

Did not have the best customer service on the phone but granted I was rather annoyed. I request a 17 foot box truck and was called and told that it wasn't available but they had a 15 foot but was the same price as the 17 foot. It wasn't much lost space but resulted in an additional trip which cost me more money in the long run in mileage. We were also charged for fuel on the final bill even though we replaced what we used. I would not have used uhaul for my move because of previous bad experiences and them not having the requested truck but I had no choice as everyone else had sold out by the time uhaul got around to my confirmation. The rental it self was fine and had no issues other than what was stated.

Employees at POS were not very personable. One employee in particular, when I turned in the keys to my rental, received the keys said "You good", and walked away. I wouldn't expect someone to gush over me being there, but it seemed like neither really cared that I was there.

The worker wasn’t very welcoming, she seemed to have a bit of an attitude. And when I returned truck she told me the gas wasn’t right, so I left and put more in and asked if it was right then, she said “yeah” but I still saw a fuel charge on my emailed receipt.

The employees didn't talk to the customer much. Completed the transaction with minimal speaking. Had to ask questions rather about the process rather than being told what I needed to do. One employee I asked didn't even know where to take the returned equipment and the employee they told me to ask was on a personal call and I had to wait.

It was EXTREMELY difficult to reach the location, via phone. Then, after being transferred to your general 800 customer service ~ I waited more than 35 mins, for someone to answer. I love the convenience of uhaul, but the hassle of trying to reach a human over the phone is disheartening. Hopefully this isn't a common thing. Next time, I'm doing everything with uhaul online.

E and J I believe were the two guys working when i was there. I CANNOT say this enough.....A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!! I run a small business myself, and I wish I had guys like this working for me!! Extremely nice, extremely helpful, and just flat out good people. I had some issues with my trailer, and it took 3 to find the one I really needed! The inside of the cargo space had broken glass that I had to pick up before loading my things. The cab of the truck smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, though I had some experience driving a bigger truck vehicle, it would be helpful if the U-Haul rep took a moment to ask the person if they have any questions or just go over some basics about the vehicle and driving a truck the size of a 20’ or 26’ .

The 24/7 mobile pick up and return has areas of improvement. The representative I chatted with to confirm my identity mentioned I need to remove my hat and retake my photo. It wasn't clear where I needed to go to retake the photo on the UI. When I returned the truck, the site gave me an error message each time I tried to submit my payment. I just clicked the link for when that error message occurs and completed the rest of the steps to return the truck.

Its all about location...I would recommend U-Haul for any move a friend was considering. I'm not very tech savvy, so I had difficulty doing the pre-inspection on my phone but the return was EASY AND QUICK. NO HASSLES. The young men who work at this location were doing an EXCELLENT job as well. They were VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL! Thank them for me! I'm the guy who left his dolly in the drive-way of your establishment-lol

Since couple years I always rented Uhaul equipment from this location. I knew I had to do a reservation but sometimes we all have an emergency in last minute. I had couple options to check other locations but I preferred this location since I been there couple times. At the counter, a lady with a weird attitude didn't give me a chance to check the availability of a Van her answer was NOTHING is available period. Didn't argue because I saw and heard how she was with a previous customer that she only asked for a information and that customer had to contact the customer service front of me. Went outside and tried to check the availability and found a cargo van is available , went inside - She looked at me with a weird attitude and checked the van by myself since she stated that she is very busy. Lower the cost. 99 cents a mile is very steep, especially when we fill it back up with gas. You advertise 19.99 but it's really 80 dollars, and I only drove 34 miles.

Customers are being told they’re paying for a 24-hour rental of a U-haul vehicle by a U-haul representative yet when going to pick up the vehicle they’re being told they only get a few hours before the vehicle needs to be back, otherwise they’ll be charged for another “24-hour” fee. For example, when I was picking up my reserved rental box truck, the U-haul employee told me I only was allowed to have it for 4 hours because someone else had reserved it after me. Obviously I was flustered. The worst thing was, the customer behind me was there to pick up his rental box truck and they told him he only had 2 hours of rental time!! Wasn’t aware U-haul did this as I’ve moved 9 times over the past 8 years for college and medical school always using U-haul without running into issues like this.

We had our towing equipment installed at this location. This is the 2nd time we have rented a trailer. When they were attaching the trailer we found that our light attachment needed to be fixed. We were told to call the next day and see if the person was there to fix it. We called, they weren't there. They told us we could go to another shop way out of our way to get it fixed. My husband ended up fixing it. A couple of days later we were finally able to get the trailer. I understand that it is hard to get good help these days. But being told to keep calling to see if the person is there is a little much. It would have been nice to get an appointment and have someone fix it. There should be more than one person which can do this...just saying...

Better maintenance on the truck engines. My rental was slow picking up speed, then when it did it would stick in high idle making it very hard to stop. I think this is a serious safety hazard. Other than that everything else was satisfactory.

Stronger zip ties to hold your equipment? Lol. The store employees loading my stuff into the truck were not to careful, and broke the time to the dolly. But thankfully we were not charged. When leaving with the truck after renting it, the gas gage wasn't on full, but i made sure it was completely full when dropping it off. Thanks for the great experience to a rough day !
