If you are required to have a working mobile phone in order to complete after-hours drop off, it would be helpful to have an accessible charging station, or usb charger in your vehicles. Often customers are using your services for moving, and with those long days phone batteries often become drained.

Staff-Costumer inter-action must be addressed. Regular staff ( the one who receives the truck when returned) must NOT be mean to costumer even when the Manager/Supervisor is not around. My experience with this worker makes me wonder why UHaul keep employee/s who seemed lazy and unwilling to work while there are thousands of people (who may work) looking for a job.

Polly was amazing... Such an asset to uhaul. I was issued keys to a van that was parked behind two other vans. Polly jumped right in and asked if I needed help and got me out of there quick.

The girl at checkout seemed new and did not have any support from a manager. When I arrived at the truck it had low tire pressure and had to have the tires filled. Upon return of the truck, everything went smooth and the person inspecting the van was friendly and knowledgeable of the process.

When I made the reservation I was quoted $156, when I went to pick up the vehicle, the charge was double what I was originally quoted. That is misrepresentation, bigtime.

Staff was super slow. I pre-checked in, but it was fairly useless and it took almost an hour to get out with my trailer rental (I already have a hitch). There were three workers but only one behind the desk, and just one customer ahead of me. The one behind the desk, a worker lady, was not wearing a mask (to protect against COVID) for much of the time I was there while inside. Upon returning, they had trucks blocking the entrance so I entered the exit which was wide open. I think this site was not well run. I'll go to a different one next time.

Truck center console area was punctured so it sent hot air throughout the cabin. This forced me to use the AC and drive at a lower MPG. This also made the ride very uncomfortable and annoying. Informed manager about the issue and he didn't seem to care much as he said he's never heard of such a thing. I told him to take the car on a drive to verify to which he replied that because I didn't call the problem in to their 800 number he isn't able to do anything. I didn't want to argue with him anymore.

HORRIBLE PLACE! there's no signs stating customers can't leave their cars on the lot when renting a uhaul. I wasted 5 miles to drive back to move my car. They promised to take off those 5 miles from my end total but they didn't. And they tried to charge me for 2 dollies when I only had 1!!! This place is horrible with horrible manager and I will never come back again.

The original place I made the reservation called me at 6:25 PM the night before I was picking up the truck to let me know they wouldn't have the size I reserved. He called the Uhaul in old Torrance to see if I I could get the size I needed there. Ha called me back and told me to call them to confirm it. I called there and could not get through to them. My friend and I got in my car and drove over there all the while being on hold. Thankfully we got there before they closed at 7. When I walked in there were three gentlemen working, none of them on the phone or doing anything other than joking around. I don't understand why they didn't pick up the phone so I could confirm the reservation there instead of having to drive over there. That was very, very, frustrating. The woman I worked with the next day was great.

Rental process seemed very well. Wish they would have explained the billing part a little better. First they tell.me I will have deposit, I am ok with that. Then when I get there they tell me that I owe more than the money I had already paid. And it was not because it didn't have enough gas.

My vehicle had a dead battery . It caused me to be stalled twice. And uhauls roadside assistance took an hour and a half just to call me. Terrible experience.

The only issue I had was the lack of options for my rental. I rented a 5'x8' cargo trailer, but really needed the 5'x10'. The closest available one was 20 miles away. Crammed the space from floor to ceiling all the way back to the door, but still had to leave 2 items behind. We had to fill cargo area of the tow vehicle, which cost me a passenger seat and a needed helping hand.

Entrance was blocked, I couldn't enter. I had to enter through 'exit ' . There was only one staff person on duty. He did not greet us upon entering the business. He was outside when we arrived and he didn't come into help us until we went outside to ask him if he could help us. He definitely needs customer service training.

I ordered a 6x12 flat bed trailer with ramp. The only issue I had was the trailer opening was not 6ft wide it was about 4.5 ft wide. It is not clearly stated that the opening in is not 6ft wide. So I drove 8hr to find out that what I had to pick up would not fit 8n the trailer. That specific trailer has to be returned to the same uhaul unlike everything else so I wasted my time and money and miles on my vehicle

Uhaul usually makes renting trucks simple and easy. While my experience with the truck itself was what I have come to expect from Uhaul, a fair price for a truck that makes getting the job done easy, actually picking up the truck was much more difficult than what I usually experience when I rent a truck from Uhaul which I have done at least half a dozen times. The online check in process appeared to be simple when I completed the necessary steps and got my confirmation at home. What I thought was easy proved to be not a very user friendly experience when I got to the Uhaul on Western and Carson. I had a 9:15 AM reservation and when I showed up there was a line of 8 people waiting for 1 lady who had opened at 9 and was checking everyone in. There were 4 registers but only 1 person to help 8 people inside. Another man outside was running around helping people outside. They were the only 2 people I saw during the 50+ minutes that I was there. Staffing seemed to be very lean, so I asked the man who was doing everything outside for assistance to see if I could get the truck without having to wait in the line that stretched outside since I had already gone on line and pre-registered at home the day before. With a lot of assistance and after three attempts at doing what I had already done at home before coming to the Uhaul, I finally got it to say something like go find your truck which the man helping me was looking for. The Uhaul experience was very good and would have been great as it usually is if I hadn't had so much difficulty getting the truck. By the time I left it had been almost an hour after I arrived to pick up the truck. Two things you can do to improve this service: 1. Staff at least two people to help customers when you have a lot of reservations. 2. Ensure staff are familiar with the on-line app and know how to assist customers in an efficient way. The person who helped me was extremely friendly but took me through several screens over and over again until we finally got what he was looking for. By comparison, customer service reps at most banks have been trained in a way that they can set up on line banking with their new customers and go through similar steps in establishing an account after getting the person's information within minutes.

The staff outside was knowledgable and friendly. The staff behind the counter clearly hated their job/life and made every customer feel terrible. Poor service, slow service. All questions answered with, "I just see what's on the terminal, you need to call corporate." However, the biggest complaint I have is that I reserved a 15' truck. The evening before my move I was informed that all we could get was a 10'. Well I had already booked and paid for movers to help me pack my apartment into a 15' truck. They tried their best but couldn't fit it all in the 10' so I had to make a second trip. The second trip was WITHOUT moving help because they were only hired for a 2 hour pack. When I turned the truck in, I was surprised to see an extra bill for "going over miles". What? I calculated everything as if I was going to get a 15' truck, you know, like I had reserved. So the night before I get told fuck you here is a 10' truck, deal with it or cancel. That required a second trip because everything couldn't fit in a 10'. How dare you charge me for this? Its a trap, a trick. You ruin an entire day of moving AND charge extra on top for it. A+ business strategy. Never using U-Haul again.

The trailer was very old and I needed to put my foot under the foot to raise it. My biggest issue is not with the location, but how the reservation system works. I needed to drive 30 miles to the other side of LA to get the trailer I needed. The site should not allow you to reserve a trailer for a location that isn't available. The call center agents do their best, but they have to deliver bad news to customers in the same situation as me. Changing the site workflow to disallow this or changing the language from “Reservation” to “Request” could go a long way as my expectations as a customer are different. Poor communication... Was told I had a truck reserved, only to get a call 30 minutes later telling Me I had to go to a different location to pick it up. I refused and had to reserve a smaller truck which I needed to pick up at 7:00AM ... Was told It would not be ready until 9:00AM.

I had two very different issues: 1. The truck was clean, but once we started driving it had a very serious steering/alignment issue. We reported it when we returned the truck, but I have no idea if anyone did anything about it. If the issue wasn't addressed, I don't believe that truck is very safe for most drivers. 2. When we returned the truck, the location was very busy. We had to park beside the return line because we would have blocked the driveway otherwise. It took a long time for someone to come out. When he finally did, he helped two returns who came in AFTER us before I stopped him and insisted on being helped (the driveway had cleared and filled up again before I could move the truck into the "proper" line). While waiting, I tried to do the online checkout, but it it wasn't working. I was signed into my account, but it kept asking me to sign in again, then giving me the error that I didn't have an account. There was nothing remotely convenient about the return process, from the dysfunctional online system to the lack of organization in handling returns on a full lot.

I was very happy with the U-Haul on Carson and western dealer now I have to pay a bill bill that I don't have the money for because of Hermosa beach meter maids had my truck towed away and it cost me 1190$ to get my truck out of impound and another 700 for tags and 95 for a parking ticket and another 14 for a parking ticket. So I'm broke

We had very bad experience with Uhaul Seattle where we got the ubox delivered. At Carson we scheduled access to the box two days prior and when we actually went there the box was not accessible.
