The staff outside was knowledgable and friendly. The staff behind the counter clearly hated their job/life and made every customer feel terrible. Poor service, slow service. All questions answered with, "I just see what's on the terminal, you need to call corporate." However, the biggest complaint I have is that I reserved a 15' truck. The evening before my move I was informed that all we could get was a 10'. Well I had already booked and paid for movers to help me pack my apartment into a 15' truck. They tried their best but couldn't fit it all in the 10' so I had to make a second trip. The second trip was WITHOUT moving help because they were only hired for a 2 hour pack. When I turned the truck in, I was surprised to see an extra bill for "going over miles". What? I calculated everything as if I was going to get a 15' truck, you know, like I had reserved. So the night before I get told fuck you here is a 10' truck, deal with it or cancel. That required a second trip because everything couldn't fit in a 10'. How dare you charge me for this? Its a trap, a trick. You ruin an entire day of moving AND charge extra on top for it. A+ business strategy. Never using U-Haul again.

There was a 10 person line upon arrival and only one service agent to check people in. They were very unprofessional upon check in and took a call and made a call during my check in time. I would implore you to increase your amount of agents available, especially during the pandemic to decrease the amount of people in a small room together.

The trailer was very old and I needed to put my foot under the foot to raise it. My biggest issue is not with the location, but how the reservation system works. I needed to drive 30 miles to the other side of LA to get the trailer I needed. The site should not allow you to reserve a trailer for a location that isn't available. The call center agents do their best, but they have to deliver bad news to customers in the same situation as me. Changing the site workflow to disallow this or changing the language from “Reservation” to “Request” could go a long way as my expectations as a customer are different. Poor communication... Was told I had a truck reserved, only to get a call 30 minutes later telling Me I had to go to a different location to pick it up. I refused and had to reserve a smaller truck which I needed to pick up at 7:00AM ... Was told It would not be ready until 9:00AM.

I had two very different issues: 1. The truck was clean, but once we started driving it had a very serious steering/alignment issue. We reported it when we returned the truck, but I have no idea if anyone did anything about it. If the issue wasn't addressed, I don't believe that truck is very safe for most drivers. 2. When we returned the truck, the location was very busy. We had to park beside the return line because we would have blocked the driveway otherwise. It took a long time for someone to come out. When he finally did, he helped two returns who came in AFTER us before I stopped him and insisted on being helped (the driveway had cleared and filled up again before I could move the truck into the "proper" line). While waiting, I tried to do the online checkout, but it it wasn't working. I was signed into my account, but it kept asking me to sign in again, then giving me the error that I didn't have an account. There was nothing remotely convenient about the return process, from the dysfunctional online system to the lack of organization in handling returns on a full lot.

I was very happy with the U-Haul on Carson and western dealer now I have to pay a bill bill that I don't have the money for because of Hermosa beach meter maids had my truck towed away and it cost me 1190$ to get my truck out of impound and another 700 for tags and 95 for a parking ticket and another 14 for a parking ticket. So I'm broke

The two guys behind the counter were wearing masks but they had their noses uncovered. WTF?! Nobody is protected! Then a guy from a back room comes out to talk to the guys(manager?) And he has a mask pulled down on his chin.

Your 1800 number is a waste of time and gas for my experience sent me to more than 3 uhaul places for a rental until I found this one ON MY OWN! to rent from. Customer service is horrible and unreliable. I wasted 3 hours of my morning from moving dealing with customer service over the phone as well as driving to multiple locations who were CLOSED!

Calling to talk to a representative about an extension was horrible waited 10 minutes before being disconnected. Called again same issue. Could not get through. Used online chat from the website and worked great. They were able to extend the contract with no issues. Good experience and great service except for calling. Easy online reservations. Easy return. Good experience.

Jeff the general manager has poor customer service and brushed off my questions and told me to reserve my trailer and purchase my items online. I did so, and requested this 3 weeks prior to when I needed these items. The come-along winch was not there and Jeff failed to apologize, and just told me "the item was not kept on hold because most most people don't even pick up these online items purchase" and he said he sold it to someone else a week prior. The trailer I also requested 3 weeks prior to needing the rental was not available, and Jeff just shrugged and said "nothing I can do". I became very upset and gave Jeff a piece of my mind about his customer service and told him if he hated his job so much he should just quit snd work somewhere else. I then went to the location on PCH and Hawthorne and met Michael. Michael was very accommodating and was willing to work with me because I made my reservation over 3 weeks earlier, and he wanted to help me out. Long story short, Jeff "blacklisted" me in the system and the location off of PCH was unable to rent me the trailer that was available, that Jeff told me there were no trailers anywhere. After trying to contact corporate and speakin to Arnesha, I emailed Doug the person in charge, but it took him over 7 hours to respond and clear me so I could rent the trailer. All I wanted to do was rent a trailer to tow a vehicle to a recreational event and spend my money with Uhaul. Between Jeffs poor attitude and Doug not responding in a timely manner, this ruined my plans for an entire weekend and I am still sour about this till today. My show vehicle ended up breaking down out in Apple Valley, so out of desperation, I rented a Uhaul truck and trailer just to get home, which caused me to waste about 6 hours of my time dealing withgoing to 5different Uhaul locations within 3 days.

I would recommend this place because they have a large inventory or trucks and supplies. But the staff didn't always wear their masks and often it covered only their mouths and not their noses. I only had a quarter tank of gas at pickup. So I had to refuel in the middle of my trip. I ended up paying for more gas than I actually used. Not a pleasant feeling. I'd rather start and end with a full tank. I had to figure out how to turn on the lights inside the loading area. Thanks for listening.

Uhual staff and assigned Movers packed, moved, and delivered box exceptional. We were pleased that the box arrived within designated date. However, a small hiccup after called the main 800# to pickup on Friday, and were told they understood to pickup on Saturday. No worries their manager went to retrieve the Uhaul box within a short time.

Disorganized, waited a very long time, they had wrong return time, they couldn't find keys to truck, we had to wait while another truck was assigned. Returned truck next morning by 10am Then received call hours later asking where truck was, tried calling back multiple times no answer then forwarded to national number and had to wait 15-20 minutes for customer service which stated they couldn't reach location either and truck was showing not returned. Drove to location to tell them truck was returned at 6:30om, was told they had the truck just wasn't logged in yet. Oh tried to by moving supplies but the cashier couldn't figure out how to ring it up. Disorganized mess wasted our time.

Location was changed Saturday and the text message only had an address. The change cost more money. I should get a credit for the bad service I received at the original reservation location and the extra time and additional mileage. I will not recommend your company unless a resolution can be found. Poor service and a lack of relevant actionable information!! After Salk the time on your website this was soo disappointing.

To save 2 minutes of setup time, chains were passed through the loops on my tow hitch instead of their length adjusted: this scratched my nearly new tow hitch. I referred about this and the response “it wasn't me” Picking up and bringing back at this location means 30' wait each time as items in the parking lot are all over and it becomes a game of Tetris

I put 12 miles on the van. I put 3 gallons of gas to cover the 12 miles. This location charged me a 14 dollar penalty because the gauge wasn't in the same location. How could that be!!? I feel they are completely dishonest. I will never use uhaul nor will I ever recommend it to anyone else.

It would be nice if you had more people working to speed up the process. Also if I checked in on line still had to stand in line and answer questions. I wasn't explained about the gas and had to pay and I could have refused myself. Nor was I explained about bringing the vehicle back past the time that was given to me. Very frustrating when vehicle returned.

The person that was helping out customers at the counter was unprofessional. She was on a personal phone call using earbuds. I'd understand if she was on the phone trying to help a customer while I was trying to rent a truck, but a personal conversation, that was rude.

The representative that helped me was not professional at all. He was asking for my ssn as a “joke” and looked at my drivers license and made jokes about my age. Then he would disappear in the middle of helping me. The truck wasn't clean at all. There were left over trash from previous customer. Lastly, he just gave us the keys and left. He did not assist us with the truck or asked if we needed help or have any questions. We had to figure out how to operate the truck all on our own. In additional, we called the number for this location twice, first time it took over 20 minutes to get connected to a representative and they hung up on us. Second time, we got disconnected. Very disappointing.

took almost 50 mins in line just to get to the cashier. my pick up time was 10 - didn't get out the door to almost 11 - i believe the company needs to have more staff on hand at peak times to service the customers, both in the check out and return side.

My truck was filthy, my fuel guage didn't work properly, so I over filled fuel, then was told you gave us that gas, uhaul doesn't reimburse overage, , then i was told to read my contract its in there.. but if the truck didn't come back with proper fuel level uhaul sure charge me, I work for a major Moving / Van lines, and we rent with uhaul weekly, even daily and this was by far the worst I've ever had to deal with.

Front Clark made some mistakes for my reservation and I had to call customer service to fix the problem. And the passenger seat door wasn't closed completely. It was loose and the passenger side door opened while I was driving. Fortunately it was early morning and there weren't many cars on the street but it could have caused an accident.

Did NOT have everything I reserved, sent me to a location 30 minutes away for all of what was supposed to be at this location. Could not let me have the truck until 12:30 instead of the morning pick-up I requested but when I arrived they had SEVERAL trucks! Had to return because 'check engine 'light came on due to the gas cap not being properly tightened which cost me an hour of my time! The UHAUL system where every call goes to a national switchboard instead of to the store you need to deal with is horrible! Sat on phone at least an hour every time. I will NEVER use UHAUL again. Historic brand run into the ground due to corporate incompetence (the local people were generally good, dealing with the sy2tem wide BS you make them deal with!).

1 employee working and he juggled several clients at once. We checked in quickly and waited for our truck to be brought out. He explained that it was buried and it would take a few extra minutes. He was super friendly and professional and juggled all of us perfectly. He was fabulous!!!!!!

We had very bad experience with Uhaul Seattle where we got the ubox delivered. At Carson we scheduled access to the box two days prior and when we actually went there the box was not accessible.
