The worst experience I've had with a company ever. Not so much the dealer in Placentia but with Uhaul. My god I don't know how you get away with the way uhaul does business. I will not ever use uhaul again. Have a truck-don't have a truck. Have a truck come get it. Not at the first one or the second one, No I had to drive 30 to get it. WOW

Two issues: (1) The trailorI rented was not clean. It had a lot of oil on it that got on my cargo and my clothes. (2) Most (not all) of the staff made no attempt whatsover to wear a mask as a consideration of the ongoing pandemic. Suggests to me a very poorly run location. Extremely disappointing.

Truck needs to get alignment done. Had to keep the wheel turned towards 1pm to go straight. Also, I wanted to return later than original set time. If I had said 6pm instead of 2:30pm return when I booked i wouldn't be charged differently. But once I had the truck it would be a $58 fee to extend till 6pm. That policy of Uhauls reminded me of Blockbusters late fee policies. Not very customer friendly. I returned at 2:30.

Pre-check in was fantastic! Even though there was a long line ( Saturday) my experience was impeccable. I breezed through and was on my way in 30 minutes. After returning the unit (9x12 trailer) Tara checked me in with exemplary service. Made me feel like I was the only customer in the place. Smooth riding unit too! I could hardly tell that it was there, full or empty.

Not sure if employee that I reserved with was new or not. But had a difficult time removing her focus from her phone getting my order correct. Additionally did not provide accurate notifications on availability of required equipment. The person in the yard and finally handled the rental was excellent.

It took an hour to get the truck and we had everything done online ahead of time. The muffler sounded like it was bout to fall off and the dash above the parking brake was just hanging there.

Everything was smooth except had to wait a little bit in the morning to be helped for a reservation, but I understand the store was busy and when they could help me they were all professional and courteous.

I had to modify a reservation to move the pick up time to the morning instead of the afternoon, and the customer service representative that assisted me was very helpful to find an available truck for the earlier time. Her assistance was greatly appreciated and made my date.

The trailer I rented was filthy with caked on mud, which I thoroughly cleaned prior to returning it. I had to fill up the air in one of the tires as it was merely at 20 psi. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is my go-to location for propane.

The reservation was done through the U-Haul service line not the location. First of all i needed the truck for an extended period but when I ordered it due to the Regional Manager mandate you could only rent for 2 days. This costs me to get a storage unit. When i arrived for my 8AM reservation I was told that it was now listed at 2:45pm because they did not have the 26' truck that I ordered. U was not notified of the change and I already had a crew so i had to use a 20' truck which caused an additional trip to the storage unit. The staff at the Placentia office was great and did what they could to make me feel that they cared about my situation. I believe it was the manger (I forgot her name) was awesome and is the only reason why I will use them again and recommend them to others.

General Manager was super rude to her co worker, correcting every word he said and rolling her eyes in front of about 5 customers. Going to another rental spot next time. Her title read General Manager forgot her name she was there working Sat 9-19-20 around 12-1pm

When I return the trailer I got a guy how was really rude and giving actitud, it sad for companies like haul have this kind of person, he almost broke my brake lights cable, so disappointed seeing this kind of actitud on employees.

The plastic bins were dirty inside. It would be cumbersome to have an employee to clean them so not sure how it could be fixed. Also, only got 31 of 36 reserved bins. Website needs to accurately reflect true inventory. Manager was willing to give me replacement cardboard boxes for free but I declined. Overall, very happy experience!

Trailer ramp closing spring broken. Very hard to Close ramp. Trailer was all muddy. Owner did the checkout. Best person to work with at this location. He was great. Other manager is not friendly.

Clean up the equipment. At least have a clean windshield. The facility yard was not clean. There is no pride of ownership at this facility. The side mirrors were useless. The drivers side wouldn't stay fixed which created a safety issue. Very poor. The fueling system used offers a lot of room for error. Simply have every truck come back with a full tank of gas not try to refill to an arbitrary mark on the gauge

There seemed to be more teamwork here than 3 months ago. I had a very horrible, unnecessary verbal lashing by a young Hispanic male about 3 months ago. There is a new Caucasian female there that is a pleasure to work with, keep up the good hiring practices.

The low tire icon was on when we rented the truck but I didn't notice it until we were a few blocks away. We were on a schedule to meet movers so I didn't go back. That was the only issue we had. We only had the truck about 5 hours. The actual worded sensor appeared telling us WHICH tire was low just before we returned the truck. My suggestion would be to maybe check tire pressures before releasing a rental.

U-Haul changed my original reservation to the Placentia location. This location did not have any appliance dollies available, despite an appliance dolly being on my reservation. Whoever rebooks reservations should ensure that all equipment is available at the new location.

The employees at this location were excellent, my overall experience with uhaul was a nightmare, I reserved a trailer for my move up north a month in advance, the day I was to pick up the trailer, I still didn't have a trailer and after calling and being transferred from person to person, each telling me there was nothing they could do. A MONTH IN ADVANCE I RESERVED THIS, NOTHING. finally I was told I could get a completely different trailer, went to the location that I was told to go to by a manager and was told that I couldn't rent a trailer. First young man didn't care and said he couldn't do anything about it, a second young man named Nelson came along to help, he called someone and got permission to tent me a trailer, he even changed a tire that he thought was bald. Him and the female manager were the only ones willing to help with this experience that was every stressful and just a overall nightmare.
