Front desk coverage was poor. Only one person taking orders with 3 people in line to rent trailers. I was the 3rd and had to wait about 15 minutes when finally 2 more agents came to help. After taking several minutes to fill in the online forms the computer dumped the entered data and had to be reenterred. Finally after 35 minutes I was able to go out and get a trailer. The agent was courtious and apologic for the delay The outside attendant was very helpful and connected the trailer very quickly.

On rental return, the employee out side ignored me. I waited for help and my fiance pulled in the entrance where she was repeatedly yelled at by the same employee to move out of the way even though another person came in through the exit blocking any way to get out. The same employee then continued to ignore me and helped someone else out. Had to wait for a lady employee to help me out. Pretty ridiculous and rude.

The exact size truck I needed was not available. Mine was too small and required multiple trips. The online description wasn’t quite accurate, since it said I could fit a one bedroom apartment and I wasn’t able to. I ended up paying additional mileage fees as a result. Everything else about the truck was good and worked well.

There was trash in the back of my Uhaul. Also I rented a Uhaul a Month ago and I got unlimited miles 2 days for $75 plus tax and came out to around $90. I rented a Uhaul this time and did the same amount of driving and It was $195 plus $36 in over miles... Will never use Uhaul again. They said since I called in you got a better deal than online. He said online they try to screw you and I got screwed cause I ordered online...

If I could, I would give you a 0. Worst experience ever with UHAUL. You changed our pick up location 3 different times in 24 hours, this after I reserved 3 days prior on-line with a specific pick up and drop off location. Truck was not available when we went to pick up. 3 hours later and after running all over town we finally got a truck. I will be contacting your corporate office with a formal complaint. Will never, ever recommend UHAUL to family and friends.

We entered this u-haul location twice. The first time, the man behind the counter told us that there were no more trucks available for rental today when there were keys on the wall and cars in the lot. We left the location and called the 1-800 number. During the phone call they stated that there were plenty of trucks available at the Simi valley location on los Angeles avenue. The second time we went to the store, the girl behind the truck just help set me up after I made the reservation on the phone. I would only like to complain about how the initial service was not good as we would have had to replan our move for another date because he didn't want to do his job.

We waited a long time on a Saturday to pick up our truck. It seemed they were short handed for a weekend. When someone started to help us; there was another person there that started talking to her. Then had pictures to show her. Instead of helping us, the customer she had started with; she had us wait while she looked at his pictures and chatted with him. Seems the professional thing would be to finish with the customer you’re helping first. Also, when she asked if we wanted insurance; it was kind of rude. Either you can get the insurance or if something happens you can hand me a bunch of cash. Again; as a professional I don’t think I would say something that way. Other then that; it was easy to reserve, The truck was new, so drove very comfortably. Easy to rerun; and most of the people were nice to work with.

Employee Steve has serious attitude and anger issues and was very rude and disrespectful to both myself and another separate customer upon our arrival at opening time. We were verbally attacked for parking our trucks in the pickup lane instead of parking spaces which were all blocked by uhaul trucks at the time. Everyone else was very professional, helpful and polite and I will continue to rent here but I will not be near as understanding about Steve next time.

The crew at U-Haul was the best. I interrupted the young lady's lunch but she checked me in professionally, friendly, and quick. The yard people were helpful and when they ran into a problem they fixed it and sent me on my way. Great experience...THANK YOU!

We have been a customer at this location for the last 8 years....but the last 3 times we have been there it was not a pleasant experience. We are going to find a new location to use. The manager seems to not like myself or my husband....We use the van for our company business and are renting 2 times a week this time of year. The manager needs more training in the value of customer service and employee relations. I guess why that location has an abundance of inventory . Ever since Jim left the location has not been the same....

Staff was friendly, helpful, and very efficient. Customers at check-in, however seemed unprepared and very indecisive. I arrived one minute after opening to pick up a reserved truck, was fifth in line, including the two parties at the active registers. 35 minutes to reach the head of the line - one couple took 25 minutes to complete. Once at the front, was driving off the lot in less than 5 minutes. Perhaps bad luck, but the staff went above and beyond to help all and to keep things moving.

The young lady that helped me at the counter on the day-of to pickup my truck was very friendly and helpful. This made for an enjoyable rental experience but, this location in general, is very inefficiently run. Often times, it takes very long to get to the counter and I have been there at times where customers waiting in line just give up and leave. I like to suggest having a dedicated team of FRIENDLY & HELPFUL counter staff so that customers can get in and out reasonably quick. While the equipment return process is very streamlined and efficient, the pickup process is not. Also, this location appears to never answer their direct phone calls and the calls for assistance very often gets transferred to the national call center. In regards to this reservation specifically, I wanted to call to make minor adjustments to my reservation but felt frustrated because every time I called my call would get transferred to the call center. And a few times, my hold to speak to someone at the call center was long so I just hung up. The GM should, at the very least, realize that establishing connection with the customers (specially repeat customers) and providing friendly, knowledgeable, courteous service is what is going to set this U-Haul center apart. Previous GM Bryant was so fantastic at this.

The woman that helped has zero compassion for people when they don’t have the truck you reserved. She is rude and literally shows no emotions for messing up someone’s moving day. I will not return based on her attitude. Horrible! I reserved a 26ft truck to do one trip... i get a 15ft bc someone didn’t turn in their truck the night prior it took me longer and two loads. She needs to be out of customer service ... HORRIBLE

The representatives have a poor attitude. They could care less about their customers and their customers time. The truck was filthy and could hardly see out of the windshield. It smelt like something had died in the cab. There was a line up of 4 vehicles to check in and after waiting 15 minutes without even an acknowledgement from any staff, I left. Again MY TIME IS VALUABLE TOO!!! This is the WORST Uhaul I have EVER used. If I could give it a minus stars I would. NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN.

Communication is poor between telephone support and onsite staff. I asked for a utility and furniture dolly during drop off of both sets of pods and they were not provided and the notes did not show despite me confirming 3 times with telephone support. When I needed to change a reservation it created chaos and hours of wasted time for a simple solution. I will not be using uhaul in the future because of my experience overall moving from CA to MO using the u-boxes and trailer.

They accommodated me since corporate extended another Customer who kept the truck longer than arranged, causing me to not have MY reservation at the time I reserved it. The local office was not at fault that I could not get the size truck that was reserved and promised. Very unprofessional on uhauls part, but it was 800 number national office that was stupid.

Been renting from this location for a number of years, but I think this will be my last time based upon this rental. I received a phone call AFTER I dropped off the van stating there was damage to the roof. They asked if I knew how that happened. I stated I wasn’t aware of any damage and said I had no idea what she was talking about. I stated that I just dropped it off and the Uhaul employee checked out the van prior to me leaving and all was well. She then asked if I confirmed the photos of the van the day I rented it. Again, I said I had no idea what she was talking about. She said they were emailed to me. I stated I never received any email with photos. It was a frustrating phone call because I felt like she was lying to me and telling me something that happened AFTER I left. I told her she’s making multiple claims and showing ZERO PROOF of something that I’m not aware of. You need to inform your employees how to do their job better. The customer service I received from the man that helped me the day I rented the van and the day I turned it in was great. The woman that called me was terrible. She sounded like she hated her job. The customer service was terrible. The woman who helped me with my rental was unprofessional and rude - I simply asked if I could drop the truck off at another Uhaul and she said no without explaining why - very rude. As far as the efficiency, it was terrible. There was a line and only one person working on checking people out. Other employees were just standing around. I had a reservation and it still took way too much time. To make matters worse, I left a nice thermos in the truck and came back to get it and they said it wasn’t there and the truck had been rented. It was ultimately my fault, but they acted like they could care less and I had to aske them to make a note and check the truck to find it. I’m not going to use Uhaul ever again and I won’t recommend it to anyone. Last week I rented a truck from Ventura Uhaul and they were great - too bad one location spoiled it all. I work in local government as a public servant and your Simi Valley location needs serious help!

When we got the truck. the truck was dirty. it smelled awful. since i was going to have it for more than 5 days. I took it to get washed. I spent $35 to wash the truck. When i returned it. there was a little bit of dirt on the bed, which was an easy wipe off. Your office attendant was super rude! she wanted to charge me $40 for clean up. Clearly it was a wipe off with my hand dirt, I wiped it down and she was ok with not charging me. She talked down to me and would raise her voice. It wasn't until i reminded her I was the customer here and I come her often to rent a truck for work. She didn't seem to care and still gave me an attitude. her name Dalia Rivas Medrano in the Simi Valley location. Because of her, I will never go back to this location. She is in the customer service business and she has no customer service at all. contract number: 20784484 Worst experience I have received because of her!

Girl helping me was not very knowledge. First she told me I need a different hitch ball size for the trailer I was renting (I had confirmed in advance on your website I had the correct one). Then she told me I needed a different electrical connection pigtail for the lights (I had confirmed in advance on your website I had the correct one). Then she told me I had reserved an enclosed trailer. Also not correct, and confirmed when she did more research. Glad one of us knew what was going on. All went well in the end. Not sure what would have happened if I hadn't done my homework though.

I made reservations for a 15’ truck a month in advance and when I got there all they had available was a 10’ or a 26’. I strongly feel they should have brought a 15’ from another location, I had to leave almost 1/2 my stuff in in storage because I had to take the 10’ since the 26’ was too big for my daughter or I to drive all the way to Oregon. They said I could drive to another location to pick up the size I originally reserved, I had movers scheduled at my storage right after I picked up the truck so I could not take the time to go anywhere else, as far as I’m concerned they should have done that the day before, that is NO WAY to treat a repeat customer who took the time to make the reservation a month in advance and now I’m stuck with the storage again and having to make another trip to get the rest of my stuff! Double the money, exhaustion, and stress because they did not make sure the truck I reserved was waiting for me. Not acceptable!!

Have owners and managers trained on customer service and etiquette this owner manger was the worst I have even dealt with at this U-Haul location I have been using this location for 12 years I will never return to it again as long as she is the owner she treated me like I was stupid although she did fix the problem the whole experience up until it was fixed was very frustrating she should never have become an owner if she does not know how to run a business and how to treat customers shame on you U-Haul for allowing this type of person to own a location and Represent the U-Haul name
