Customer service is great- in all ways. The only problem is their location. They are squeezed into a very busy intersection making large truck maneuvers tough. BUT, customer service = five stars (out of 5!)David F.

Horrible experience. Car was due back at 1:00â€¦I pulled in at 1:35, hoping I could ask for a little grace, since my van had broken down on the way. No one would talk to me, much less help me take my car off the dolly. They charged me for an extra day (after they ignored me for 20 minutes.) Have equipment ready or at least contact me beforehand if it's not. I called two hours ahead to check on status and yet no one told me that the furniture dolly would not be available. Also online check in does not save time. I still had to spend considerable time on checking inâ€¦ took 45 minutes to get my trailer and go.Benton S.

This location was very busy, difficult to find help to drop off the trailerthomas C.
In September, a customer service representative told me over chat that my box was at the Madison, TN location, and told me that they had notified that location that I'd be coming to access it. I went there, which is over 30 minutes from where I live. I waited for 45 minutes for the staff to locate my box. They told me it was at the Wedgewood location. When I got there, it seemed that my box was being stored in the parking lot. A staff member turned it around so I could open the door, and I took a few items out. At that point, everything was there. I wanted to access it again about a month later, so I called the Wedgewood location and they said I could come by. When I arrived, I noticed that the box they were taking out for me had a different lock on it - not the one I had originally put on. I said, "I don't think this is my box," and the GM, Rand, said that he noticed that the lock on the top latch was missing so he put a new lock on the bottom latch. I saw that the latch on the top was completely gone and appeared to have been cut off. When I opened the box, items were missing and it looked like things had been rifled through. Rand was there and took photos. I told him that things were missing and I began to cry. He stood there for a while before going inside to file a claim. I began to remove items and put them in my car because I didn't feel that it was safe to store them at U-Haul anymore. Rand eventually apologized. I requested that my U-box be delivered to a different storage company two days later at no cost, and to be refunded one month of my storage fee at U-Haul. Rand delivered my box and helped me unload it. He also refunded me for a month. I am grateful for his help. I also wish that he and other staff members had done more to keep my items safe. It's unclear how long my box was left unlocked, and when anyone noticed that the lock was missing. This is extremely negligent for a company that's supposed to securely store people's things. I understand that burglary can happen, but U-Haul did not do everything they could do to keep my items safe. The box shouldn't have been left in their parking lot, and someone should have notified me that the lock was missing (but perhaps no one even noticed, which is also a big problem). Furthermore, I didn't feel valued as a customer and I will no longer do business with U-Haul because of this experience.Amber I.
The guy that was â€œkey holderâ€ was belligerent and wouldn't help loosen my ball hitch when I had the correct on in my hand. He wanted me to haul it at a severe angle that would have damaged it, no doubt. I took home and used my own tools to correct it. The guy was a jerk!Brad M.

The wait was very long, employees were very short with customers and overall extremely unprofessional, incompetent and lazy. Employees were wearing sweatpants and sandals/ flip flops. Employees were complaining loudly in front of customers while a line began to grow and then finally decided to help customers. Damage to the trailer was not noted by employees and had to bring it to their attention. The individual who was responsible for hooking up the trailer, didn't know how to and did so incorrectly. I had to point it out so he could fix it. He didn't get the trailer on the hitch, it was just sitting on top of the hitch when he told me I was good to go. Compared to my last trailer pick-up at a different location in Nashville this was a miserable experience. I would have driven the 20 extra minutes to go to where I picked up the trailer last time for the better experience. I will never be using this location again.Matthew B.
Truck was ready. Staff at the counter was helpful and knowledgeable. Our experience picking up and returning to the same location was smooth, easy and without problems. This was a very stressful time for us and the day started with a call stating that the reservation for the U boxes had been changed. We did not make that change. They were able to get the boxes arranged. The recommended 4 boxes for a 3 bedroom home was not nearly enough. We had only 2 bedrooms and an office and the office was moved by us. Not much furniture either. We were very disappointed since we had to rent a storage unit and make another trip to TN to pick up the remainder of our belongings.Jeffrey S.

When I showed up, i was told there were no moving blankets even though I had reserved 50. Fortunately, he found some for me to go pick up. Unfortunately it was fairly far away which wasted my time, money and gas. Fortunately, service rep, gave me a discount to make up for it. I would have appreciated a heads up about the blankets earlier so I could have pikced up blankets before picking up truck.Mary M.

Employees were unprofessional, cursing constantly while I was there. I was given the keys and told I could find the truck myself. When I found the truck, the battery was dead and very little gas was in the tank. I was told they could help call roadside assistance as they weren't equipped to help with the dead battery. I ended up leaving 1,5hrs after my arrival with a truck that felt like it would die at any moment.Jacob T.
