GRACE C | Déménagement en ligneTruck wasn't at pickup location spent 45 mns being placed in circles with customer service before being told now I have to drive 25 mns back by my house to get a truck and tow dolly putting me hours behind of schedule and also causing me to not get to my destination in time to do anything I needed. It also caused me to miss work the next day! That's hours that now won't be on my check. Then we get to storage and the first locker had a lock on it, the second had no luck but was filled with someone belongings the third one had a mouse trap right in the middle. There was trash on property and we were told about a man that walks around on property which does make me a bit nervous for my property. I went to drop off the truck and brought it all up to the GM Jazmine who made me feel heard and understood. She was honestly the only good experience that I had with UHAUL I'll never use them again and I'll never recommend them that's for sure. Kinda sad this company went downhill. I'm not the only one that recently has had poor experiences with UHAUL. You guys need to get it together and do better. Maybe better communicating and better training on some of those customer service reps because I even called and finally got so mad I needed a supervisor.
Danielle B | Premières impressionsI tried over 10 times (MORE (1 and 1/2 days of phone calls, while packing and moving) to reach the local storage facility location and was shunted to a CENTRAL HUB each time. The hub and the local facility did not have the same information. The local facility told me there was a lock on the door that they thought was mine. I had not been there yet!! They could not remove the lock (from someone else) unless I was there... which makes no sense. They could not rent me a NEW storage site, they could not upgrade, or sort through the problems. Each time i called the Hub had different information. I GAVE UP AND WENT WITH CUBE SMART STORAGE!

I had to go through the unit, separate my personal items from the other person's, and place their items in an empty storage unit. Additionally, the lock on my unit was replaced with an identical one, which cut off my access. This facility has no cameras monitoring the climate-controlled units, despite this location experiencing multiple break-ins over the past few years. One incident, which involved more than 20 units being broken into, even made the news.

There was another family utilizing the one that was working. When I called the Scottsdale location (where I made the rental), I was told that was all that was available at that location due to people taking them. So this was punishment for the rest of the customers. Luckily, I had a wagon and laundry cart that I was able to use until the other. cart was available.
martha s | Expérience généraleI rented a storage here over 5 years. When I started to rent, it seemed to be normal U-Haul rental facility, but many changes over the years. My unit was broken in and most of property was stolen or damaged. I had no choice to move out. It was last Friday . An attendant at the time was very kind and helpful for the situation. He told me to call a manager on Monday first in a morning. The manager was rather irritated and said someone will call back, but so far, no call. This facility has cameras only entrance gates, no other area and only one attendance , so has no time to patrol facilities.

The facilities are run down, they are kept well above the promised temperature (I had an important poster partially melt because it was constantly at 90 degrees when it's supposed to be at a maximum of 85 degrees). Deals that are advertised both online and in the contract terms are not honored because the manager doesn't feel like playing by the rules. I am appalled by the way that my concerns were handled by the location previously; I work with freshmen at ASU who frequently ask for recommendations on where to store their belongings over the summer. There is one correct answer: not at U-Haul at Tempe Town Marina.

The man at the unit was helpful and fixed things for us but this was very inconvenient and wasted a lot of time.

Charlene L | Expérience généraleMy experience in the beginning with Steven was great! He was super friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. I was able to pick up my equipment no problem. Unfortunately packing took a little bit longer so I called and told them I wanted to pick up my auto transport trailer the next day. This morning I went in to get it and the lady Jazmin that helped me was super rude the entire time. I asked her if I was being charged again and why and she wouldn't communicate with me her answers were short and evasive very rude. Then when I went to get my trailer attached in the small parking lot she would not let me completely straighten the U-Haul truck out before backing up. I have experience with trailers, and knew that once I tried to pull out that I would have a harder time because of how I was backed in. Overall was my worst experience with U-Haul. I've never had service like this but I was very displeased today.

(I'm not to bright sometimes and we were all very tired) She took the time to explain everything to me. She should get a raise !

I have a day job so office hours only is not feasible. Turns out the young man from the other location that signed me up for the rental new this info but still rented to me anyway without disclosing it. That was a huge waste of my time and his. When I went back to cancel it he gave me a refund on the insurance I purchased, which I took to mean he closed the account. No, all he did was submit a refund. Imagine my surprise when getting an email telling me I was delinquent on payment.

As I unloaded my trailer into my Unit at the Scottsdale Rd location (I had selected and reserved the other location at Tempe Town Lake), a suspicious individual in a white truck sat and watched me for about two hours while doing nothing but sitting in his truck. I then get approached and asked to be followed out by a man in a Mercedes who had no access code to leave. Two individuals had been let in who did not belong there and present a risk to our things getting stolen. The gate was broken on 4/223 so needed help getting in but on 4/24, when I went to advise of the above, a different rep had left the gates all wide open and the door that leads to my storage units indoors, unlocked as well. When I shared my concerns, she said that is why we give you insurance and said they let homeless people sleep in their units all the time and others get in and there is nothing they can do about it. I need this escalated and addressed, please.

Thomas T | Déménagement en ligneThis was my first time using U-Haul and I’m in consideration of never using them again I had a horrible experience here especially at this location I was supposed to pick up my rental at 7 am through Mobile pick up and some error happened and I had to wait until 9 am when the store open to see a rep. Then to top it off once they open the lady that helped me Amber M to be exact was extremely rude I told her about my situation how I had to pick up my truck at 7 am and it was already close to 9 and I still haven’t left the property she quote on quote said “I can’t help you with that right now you’ll have to wait till we open I have other things to do” then she was not only rude to me but also some other customers that were having issues as well I lost 3 hours of my rental time because of poor customer service I had to rush to to do my things in order to return truck on time once truck was turned in she looks at me and says with an attitude are you picking up or dropping off she went on to say it’s not her fault she’s new to the location it’s her first day there I am extremely disappointed at this first experience I hope U-Haul looks into who they hire as my experience her with you guys was horrible I hope I get some sort of feedback or reach out to me as this was unacceptable
Jose RThe only issue I had is there was not adequate lighting After sun set, which means my visits were restricted to daylight hours. Although I would not recommend this storage facility, the storage facility in Mesa (Which I rent) is clean well lit and managed very well.

JERRY H | Premières impressionsWas yelled at by Uhaul employee while I had Uhaul customer service rep on the line with me whom witnessed this very uncalled for treatment. I asked numerous times to speak with the Manager Jazmin Flores who completely ignored me as she walked around outside and by me a few times as I was on the phone with uhaul CS. Both made me feel as if I were an inconvenience. I was lied to, humiliated, mistreated and never got an apology. Jazmin's position as a manager needs to be reevaluated as she seems to be having issues managing two location as well as lack of mannerisms towards paying customers such as myself. Horrible experience! I filed a formal complaint so I am anxious to await the follow up and if I will ever get an apology.
SUMMER M | Expérience générale- The site offers FREE locks per unit if online was used for setup and move in. However , I wasn't able to receive the link or code. I was told to let the location know and they would give me the locks. However, they were currently out of stock. - location was not able to enter my smid ID to get my 20 %discount for UHI employee. I was told the GM would contact me on Monday (today) on both items. On Monday I was called. Both issues were resolved.

My unit was empty and clean before the due date and then I was not allowed to submit the photos until two month's worth was paid. Unprofessional and unhelpful.

I tried to sign up multiple times and was never able to create an account so then had to call the office when I had a question or needed help with billing

The person I spoke with later in the evening wouldn't swap me to a bigger unit even though I hadn't put any items inside the storage. I explained my situation & He said pictures needed to be taken blah blah. I explained to him I had just enough funds to do what I needed to do. He wanted me to extend my rental until the next day in order to get a bigger unit. This would of been a great inconvenience as I had others helping me who wouldn't be available the next day. I ended up throwing away items just to make room. I'm disappointed but oh well....I had to make it work. I would like to say he offered me a discount on the bigger unit if i waited, but it wouldn't have made sense, or made up for all the money I would of had to pay the next day...just didn't make sense to me.

The multiple emails, phone calls, and account messages that I have sent over the last few months show that I made every effort to let U-haul know of these issues and I shouldn't have been charged. This was ultimately an oversight from U-Haul and should be corrected.

I wasn't even able to get to my unit to use it!! I'm extremely upset at this whole situation because through this whole process most of the people I've dealt with have either not been able to help me or refuse to help me.

Sergio zThis experience was a very stressful experience because of the process being all online. My check in did not go through, I had to call the manager of this location to give me the key, and then later I could not check out because there was no direction on how to do so. When I called to try and tell someone I dropped off the keys in the box, I was on hold for 30 minutes and then was told I never got the uhual when I clearly did because the manager handed me the keys herself and then was charged the full amount after all of that. Very poor service and communication.
Sabrina SToo many issues to list here. Major issue was that they didn't honor the first month free storage even though I had a one way truck rental. They also assigned us to a unit that was locked and we had to drive all the way back to ask them to unlock it for us. Grievance has been filed and I'm waiting to hear back from the DM.

Todd KThey had me pay for 24 hr access I never got them I got some kind of a move out notice in and envelope and a file. No name no date. Then I was locked out if my storage for a week and I could access the gate but not my unit. Jeffery Pickett Andy Smith and Jennifertge admin assist had a moving company come move me they left without me so I have no idea if they took anything I don't know where they disappeared. Then threw my things in piles left things in the elevator all the way downstairs and outside of the elevator so people could not pass by. When I saw my Mohammad Aly picture with a big foot print in it I asked them to be more careful. They sent and left after I have them a tip 40 and left me hanging. No 40 dollars. To top it off one of the uhaul employees called the Scottsdale police to my new storage. WHO DO THE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE? I HAVE PICTURES THAT LITERALLY THREW EVERYTHING INTO MY STORAGE BREAKING 1000 worth of my equipment so now I can not do any jobs because everything I own is ruined!!!! My desk was upside down somebody peed in and on my clothes. I AM A VET AND I WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO GET THESE PEOPKE DISMISSED FROM UHSUL AND LET THIS COUNTRY KNOW WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE UHAUL BACKS.

My U-Haul storage reservation was confirmed 3 times last week before I droved to 1905 E Apache Blvd, Tempe, AZ .The Movers & I get to the correct place 9am.only to find out They have NO STORAGE units. I had to drive to another Uhaul 800 N McClintock dr, & drive to another 500 N Scottsdale FINALY by1pm Donivan find me a unit to unload the Uhaul truck. I Had My Movers for 2 Hrs at 9am NOT 6 hours. Donivan & His crew get the 5 stars. I Demand compensation for the MAJOR inconvenience we went through driving to 3 uhauls. How can Uhaul be so incompetent???

Then I was supposed to be moved to a diff unit with first month free per Cody - but was billed for it anyway and got another late fee ! There is a complaint open with a callback from Donovan 2 weeks ago to rectify my issues ! Nothing - called again after on 7/6 my account was debited without authorization ! No resolutions to my 2 late fees that need to be waived and after 7 years I am super disappointed ! Can somebody pls fix this ?

And your so-called insurance that you have is refusing to pay me anything because they were all vintage tools that I don't have receipts for. This place is so unprofessional it's mind boggling. the only reason why I didn't move out sooner was because of the pandemic. I have had so many issues with this property I can't even explain them all and I will tell everyone I know to NEVER do business with Uhaul. I'm glad that it's being torn down.

The local number always rang into the central call center and they always took a message that was never returned. Emails had to be sent 2-3 times before receiving a response, or a return email wasn't sent. The property office was permanently closed which made it inconvenient to have to go to a second location to speak with staff. The on site restroom wasn't clean. I moved out of the unit on 3/21/21, in response to management informing tenants that we had to vacate by 3/22/21, due to facility renovation. I emailed Donovan Holloway on 3/21/21, attaching 2 pictures showing that unit 446 was vacated that day and requesting information about a credit for 10 unused days of rent for March. That same email was forwarded to Donovan on 3/23/21. No response was received. On 3/27/21 Donovan sent a generic email noting a storage move out date of 3/26/21, and requesting completion of a survey. I expect an email response noting a credit amount and when it will be issued.

Leaving because I was informed that this location was set for demolition & they were not renewing contracts. Otherwise, I would have gladly stayed.

I double checked the hours of operation with the person who emailed us to let us know the location was closing because we were driving down from Flagstaff, and arrived on Sunday to find that our code didn't work and no one in the office. Fortunately, a worker at another location pulled up behind us, and his card wouldn't allow him access either and he had to go back to his office to gain access and told us he would get us access. He came back 20 min later, but that code wouldn't work either. He spent another 5 min on the phone and finally got access, and we could clean out our unit. I appreciate his assistance--otherwise we wouldn't have been able to clean out our unit.

I explained the situation on multiple occasions to multiple personnel from UHaul but no one paid any attention and the harassment continued. I eventually contracted with a lawyer to send a cease-and-desist order. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this email means it's finally over.

Sonia MApp provided me with the incorrect Truck # So the key didn't work. Got resolved, but a waste of time. Was SHOCKED that when I got into the truck, it was below a 1/4 tank and almost on EMPTY. Was NOT pleased about that.
