In the midst of life changing decisions that necessitated the use of storage, Yuma Mcas not only provided a space, but did it in a much needed positive, dependable, and stress free way . Security, absolute cleanliness, and superb support from the entire staff were a most welcome aspect of our 4-month transition

Did not like at all two separate codes. Caused major problems with not being able to get in at first with moving crew. Was given compensation though and appreciate that. There should be some office hours for people checking in, moving in or moving out. Give some options. Also, a sign should say on the B building or others that if they have difficulty getting in, an emergency number and a reminder to check in at first building. This is important for brand new people. But, on a positive note, we like there were all access hours and we got a call to check out and made easy.

I chose a temperature controlled unit due to me having belongings that would NOT be okay in the Yuma heat. In the middle of the summer I go to check on my unit and it turns out that the AC in my building was not working. I was not informed and when I called the store the employee told me that management was aware but they did not have an ETA of when it would get fixed not only did some of my stuff get damaged due to the heat it was very frustrating because if someone would have said something I could have just taken those items out. But there was no communication whatsoever not only am I being charged for something that I was not getting - it's also expensive and for what! Also the door in the "A" building does not lock and nothing has been done about that either. You can tell how much management "manages" this place. This was my second time renting here and honestly will probably be my last. I will say that when I needed to upgrade my unit the employee at the store was very nice and took care of it right away.

This is my second U haul storage locker - I have another in a different location. The only problem was the U Haul App - the check in process didn't work a couple of times - the photo upload didn't want to accept my photos so it took several tries. The actual move in was excellent.

The initial process to get a storage unit was a nightmare. I did it over the phone and I gave my debit card info as well as all other info to the person over the phone. Thinking I was all set, I brought my stuff to the storage facility to find that there was no office on the site and I could not get in. I called the U-Haul number again to find out that I have to travel to the other side of town to a U-Haul truck rental business in order to get an access card. After I arrived at this other location, they couldn't find where I had paid for the unit over the phone. SO, I had to go through the whole process again, including providing my debit card info a 2nd time. By this time, I was beyond frustrated. I spent half of my day trying to secure a storage unit. Not to mention the drive to another location to receive an access card. I would not recommend them for this reason. To enter your enclosed, cooled unit, you have to drive to the front of the units and get out of your car to swipe your card and enter an access number, get back in your car and drive to your unit. Other than these things mentioned, the unit itself seemed clean and secure. The closing of my account was easy enough.

I rented a uhaul truck and moved from PA to Az..We were impressed with the trucks ride and performance. It was economical on gas and a comfortable ride. Plenty of room in the cab. We towed a auto transport trailer with our car on board. Couldn't even feel it behind us. Pulled great. The origin office in North East Pa was superb with every step. They went above and beyond to help me, a single woman, out. I got a good rate. The storage facility in Yuma, AZ was very clean, climate controlled, and the attendant there was accommodating in many ways with helping with the check in and out. Gave me a cart to use. My storage room was dirty and had bed frames left in it. And I had to clean it out.

Friendly staff but the climate controlled unit did NOT meet advertised temperature. Canceled after only one month. My unit was 92 on a 102 degree day but UHaul states advertises 85. Can't use it. The hallways were insulated but the units are not.

I recently moved out of the storage building this past week. I had rented it for over a year and a half and found it always very accessible, clean and all the staff very very helpful. I will gladly recommend this to my friends.

Nice that it's a 24 hr facility. Helped me out because of a late checking and time constraints. However the access code didn't work upon check in. Was able to open the door still by pulling on it. Can be a security concern. Storage unit walls and door is made of cheap wood and aren't metal like how I'm used to. Unit has wood studs and seems to be drywall walls.. Place is alittle dated and needs updating but having 24 hr access is amazing. If I had more time I would've used somewhere else. Overall ehhh, nothing to brag about. I payed for a service. And purchased insurance just in case. Place would be perfect with some modernization and updates by changing the subpar doors and framing the units with metal.

Alertnative option should include a spouse. Not sure why someone with a different address has to be the only option. Second, no welcome package in our storage. We had to go home (as this was the quicker and effective option) to get a lock. Once I called, I was informed that I had to go pick up a lock from the uhaul store that manages the property.

I rented a air-conditioned storage here in the Desert during the summer. Outside it was 115° and in my storage 118°. I complained the second day I moved in. Couldn't wait to get out.

The rental vans are somewhat in the way and make it hard to maneuver a truck and trailer at times....it was better when someone was there on site. Also the key card machine at the east end is still inoperable!! 3 months now and the sign is now gone making you think it now working.....facility appears to be on the down grade side...

I reserved a climate controlled unit and paid for it. Upon arrival, the unit assigned IS NOT CLIMATE CONTROLLED and the office was closed, so I was not able to address the issue when I arrived. Will be cancelling and moving to another company/facility unless Uhaul can rectify the situation and give me a climate controlled unit.

There was a gentleman that worked in the office who used to be a greens keeper. I was impressed with his cool composure when I was a little frazzled. He continued to be calm and I complemented him about it. I told him ur going to have a bright future. Thanks again

My only complaint is that I wasn’t told I would need to submit pictures with my cancellation - and I talked to Uhaul customer service three different times about my upcoming move out!! So, after we emptied the shed and left, I had to drive back (VERY INCONVENIENT AND QUITE A DISTANCE!!!) to get the photos.

Everything was ok. But the moving cart Uhaul supplied was a wood moving cart and was ridiculous and dangerous for moving household boxes. When I spoke to the staff about I was told they had received many complaints about it but nothing had been done. I recommend you bring your own if you dont want to get hurt

The units were VERY clean. I never saw any spider webs or spiders. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. They have a schedule where they would be cleaned every two hours. I also rented a boxed truck on one occasion. My experience with the truck rental was awesome too. This is a great location for the nearby car dealerships, the airport and the Los Perros Swap Meet. They have a great crew with Tammy, Clarence, and Jocelyn!

Having been a customer for 9 years, I have NO COMPLAINTS. In fact Tammy and Richard are awesome managers. In my opinion this is the ONLY place to rent a storage unit in Yuma, AZ. Great Staff, Clean, well maintained facility, and Centrally located for Easy access.

The manager, Tammy who I spoke with walked me through everything I needed from the storage space, the rental truck, lock, insurance - everything. This move for me was completely unexpected due to my husband passing from Covid, my house selling immediately with a 30 day escrow, so I am spinning. I have to box up 38 years of marriage - 20 years in our existing home and I have less than 2 weeks (couldn't start til escrow removed all contingencies). I was in a panic, fighting grief, and not believing it's all really true. Tammy was a Godsend, and I truly believe that. I needed just ONE thing to go right, and she made it very easy. I am very thankful to her and that division I'd Uhaul!!!

While the staff and facility were great, I do have one significant complaint. The large 10x40x8 rental unit itself I reserved & confirmed online weeks prior to arrival was unavailable upon arrival. The manager confirmed that no such unit had been available for weeks. I was forced to try and squeeze my belonging into 2 very small closet sized rooms, and will not be able to fit the belongings I will move in my next truck as originally planned.

I am from San Diego and my truck broke down at lake martinez. I had my truck towed to Ford then rented the truck thinking I needed to drag all my stuff from the river home. When I loaded truck and started heading home Ford called and said my truck would be done the very next day. So I rented a hotel in Yuma and returned the truck 4 hours later with a quarter of a tank more of fuel then I got it with. The 19,99 a day truck cost me 90 dollars for 4 hours?? I was taken advantage of and will never use u haul again.

I dropped the vehicle at night and when I tried to do the overnight drop form online it did not allow me. I was charged an extra $20. Also I picked up my vehicle towards the end of the day on a Sunday, clearly the representative was upset through the tone and the manner the process was handled. It was an awkward handling. I understood the representative wanted to go home to which I apologized for arriving 10 min before closing but I needed the rental. There was no sympathy or smile at all - the vibe was just completely awkward.

I had a unit with Uhaul for several years and during that time every employee I met was excellent. Great customer service is what made me stick with them.

Only issue was the receiver wasn't in the truck but the U-Haul at Old Town gave us one to haul the trailer with the box.

I put my furniture in storage in 2014. I just took it out in May 2021. I was at the storage unit in 2016. I have broken furniture, broken glass ware, my shoe rack had to be thrown away. The damage was unbelievable. I ended up giving 95 percent of it away and those families saw the damage also. I will never recommend UHAUL STORAGE to anyone. I paid good money to keep my belongings SAFE. Broken and destroyed!!!! Tammy the manager said, You have to have it all out and clean by Friday. Thanks to the good citizens of Yuma AZ it was!!! What a Nightmare,my stuff was DESTROYED!!

Tammy and Richard have taken this facility to first class by repairing what needed repaired, excellent paint jobs, security measures, and total cleanliness with the added benefit of evaporative cooling for most of the units. Also, most importantly are the excellent staff they have employed. Tammy and Richard are professionals who can always be reached and are terrific at solving concerns while at the same time feeling like members of one's loving family.

Most storage facilities in Yuma are gated. This one is not. Compared to other facilities this has a higher monthly rate for 24 hour access. When I first got my unit the light was on. It was explained to me the previous tenant broke the chain to turn off the light. I could afford to leave the unit empty a couple days and asked him to have that corrected before I put my lock on. It was never corrected. The light stayed on the month and a half I was there. The welcome packet said use this the free lock. I paid $11 for the lock.

Super nice people, and so willing to help an older woman, who had no helpers!! And finding out after driving 2000 miles that they give you a unit for a month free.. was a super bonus! I had plenty of time to find a place to live with no worries, and got moved in with time to spare! The facilities are just very tight. Not enough room to load/unload. The card swipe check in/out is such a pain. Mine always gave me trouble. It should be located where you don't have to get out of your car. Drive up and swipe. Nice staff. The guy even thoroughly cleaned the nasty dirty window on the 13' I rented from Cal Ranch to move out. It was so dirty, I was afraid to drive it.

I had a storage unit for almost two years and the the on-site Manager and all of her staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly. The facility was also always clean and accessible I have also used trucks from this location several times I would recommend this facility for anyone in the Yuma area. Ray H

Tammy was an angel when we needed one most! My fiancé and I needed to relocate at a time when the world seems upside down. Tammy went above and beyond from my fist conversation until I was able to get moved out. Bruce has cancer and was very ill in our arrival day- she knew nothing of that situation, but her constant support was a blessing I can never repay. Thanks to her we had the largest burden lifted and are grateful for her and the U-Haul team. Blessings one and all- you do business right. I will recommend your company to everyone I know ❤️

Employee was helpful. Only negative was worrisome, there was a dead mouse inside when we first opened the unit to check it out. Seemed to have just recently died.

Thank you for good service. original pick up should tell that when purchasing a lock at that office and customer was intending to use uhaul storage that they buy round lock. So not have t buy 2.

When I moved in the guy was super helpful & when I moved out the girl was too & they were both really nice. It was a little hot in the hallways but it's yuma. Items were protected. Bug found but dead.

I had used uhaul for many years and always had a great experience over all but the last person working in the office is not very pleasant. Let's call it rude with a smile.

It was in a great location. But I was only allowed to go to the storage during daylight hours, because my unit didn't have any light inside for me to be able to see at night. I informed the managers.

I moved from out of state and reserved my truck at a location. 30 mins before pick it time they tell me it’s at another location about an hour away even though I called earlier that day and confirmed
