Would love to get some money back. Had it rented for 4 days only needed it for 2 days. Was suppose to come with a dolly that I was charged $15 for and it didn't. $400+ for a 2 day rental is really expensive.

Once we told the manager, he immediately investigated and contacted for repairs. He was professional, quick, honest and delightful to work with.

I had to purchase a dolley for $38. I would very much like to have a credit applied to my card for the cost and the very inconvenience and stress caused to an already stressful situation by U-Hauls failure.
TODD HBe helpful, look at us, answer the questions asked. The mileage allowed was EXACTLY the distance from this location to the Waterloo location. So going to the place where our stuff was and going to the place we were unloading were not covered in the rental and were an extra charge (on top of a very expensive truck). No help was given when asked about this. No explanation or ideas or anything. Ignored my questions or answered a question we did not ask. I'm still salty about it. We were charged an additional $55 because of this and no help from this place at all.
COLTON QTruck smelt like cigarette smoke inside the cabin. And the moving blanket and dolly that cost extra was left inside the truck and was in the way. If we choose not to have it we should be able to not have it.
GARRETT MI accidently over filled the gas tank to full instead of half and was refused a refund on the money spent. Bad business behavior and easy way to loose future customers

We had snow and the truck had to be defrosted which made our departure time 45 mins later than expected. We had one person helping to move me had a appointment later in afternoon which he was late getting to. When I arrived the girl that checked me in had a friend sitting in office with her. Visiting. At first the girl just handed me the key sad parked on side of building. I kinda inquired at this point if she could pull truck up for me. She did help load the supplies into the truck.

ISAAC SI rented a storage unit (10×10)prior to renting a small truck but was charged $145,95 instead of the posted price of $135.95. When I questioned the difference I was told there was a recent price increase and that the poster on their wall was old. Why not remove it if the price is wrong? Isn't that false advertisement? Why not put a notice up for customers to see stating that the prices had recently increased? When I came to put my things into the storage unit I had rented, I could'nt get into the gate becase they deleted my account because my unit was empty with no lock on it., even though I had paid for the unit. I had to explain and question the site manager to get my unit back after he told me there was no record of me having rented a unit at all. I don't trust this location and I entend to contact both the UHaul corporate office as well as the Missouri Better Business Bureau to file a complaint.

The owner Chandel (sorry if spelled wrong!) has always helped with the check out or check in process, and has always been polite. Super nice guy. The store hads always been maintained and clean. And the options for storage at location are good.
KATHERINE MThe gas tank was not full. This is unacceptable and FRAUD!. Someone returned equipment without filling it with gas. U-haul charges if the gas is not at the same level. They charge WAY over the price of gas. Then once the person is charged U-haul doesn't fill the tank. THERE IS NO REASON THAT ANY TRUCK HAS LESS THAN A FULL TANK OF GAS!!! FRAUD - plain and simple!!!

John W | Expérience généraleThere were a couple of things I noticed, first, the halls/doorways are a bit narrow, a lot of maneuvering the cart around to get around the corners and through the doorways but with some maneuvering it can be done. Also, there are signs posted that say " if you don't check out upon leaving access will be denied on your next visit." I did push the button for assistance to "check out", it was during office hours, and I could hear someone talking upstairs before I left my unit, but no one answered the call button so I'm not sure what happened there. I was not denied access the next day either so who knows why that is posted. Nice, clean facility overall, just waiting on the confirmation that I am not going to get a bill because I was moved out the day before my bill was due and have been told by two people that I would receive a confirmation email. For now, I will save the survey email I guess.

After going through hard times with her, a relative was supposed to be responsible for her storage and I'm assuming forgot about it. I was thinking one day "grandmas storage" called and someone told me it was up for auction. I immediately Got details from the office on how to get her storage back and they explained I could bid on it. Long story short was able to connect with the Store Manager Chandell and he was absolutely understanding and stayed connected with me to pay what I bid for and to get the name transferred over to me, etc. The amount of genuine communication but respect for this location goes a long way. Chandell, thank you for all you did to help me out. One things for sure, I'm sure you understood my importance of not losing anything that was sentimental to my Grandmother after losing her. The autos and other things stored behind the building are becoming eyesores and make it hard sometimes to turn your vehicle around. They also make it look run down and unsafe even though it is fenced off. This is the only way to access the 2nd floor storage and should be kept up better.

When I got to Jefferson City I was told it's cheaper to keep the trailer rather than rent a storage. I called the office on two occasions to take care of the snow so l can have easy access to my Jeep; manager promised to clear snow but did not keep his promise. I was disappointed, hence hoping management will quickly fix this problem for future customers.

The manager tried to look up the sale and the system didn't go back longer than a week. Really? Not acceptable. So I ended up having boxes I didn't need or use.

The older lady was extremely rude to me when I was in there and was extremely rude to my wife and her mother when they were having issues with the gate code not working. My storage unit also allowed rain water in and damaged multiple items and several boxes. The storage unit also had oil stains which thankfully only got on the bottom of boxes and not on any furniture. I would NEVER recommend any U-Haul based purely on the lack of customer service that I had received. You could tell that the employees hated their jobs. Sad.

Fortunately, i had elected to have insurance through U-Haul on the contents in this unit & will be making contact today.

Then it took about an hour in the office to make a new reservation in person. I was then told my code for the gate would not work for 24hrs. So, I had to come back the next weekend. When I pulled up to the gate, the code did not work, the intercom button did not work, so I had to call. They again, could not find me in the system. Even though I had all of my paperwork.... I was asked to come up to the main office. Took another 20 minutes to make another, new reservation. I never got an apology or anything. Very poor customer service.

Homeless people walked the property freely living in their units their presence acknowledged by Chandell, office staff and maintenance!! Entire staff also knowingly acknowlwdge MANY issues with locks AFTER my unit was robbed!! Maintenance claimed they checked doors nightly. Never saw maintenance on prperty. I was not give the U-Haul required lease agreement that would have provided insurance for my stolen belongings but insted moved in under an old driver licence with no signatures which denied my claim with Republic Western by representitive (John) even before the police report was made availabe. Becky Hall claimed to look into my situation and lied about calling me back claiming she had written down a wrong number! Which would have been availabe had the proper lease agreement been provided! Family heirlooms, safe full of legal and financial documents as well as MANY personal items GONE!! Shame on you U-Haul of Jefferson City Missouri off Ellis Blvd!! Further action being taken as NOT one UHaul representive has stepped up to the plate as a result of this!!
