I returned my rental. But they forgot to check it in. They called me 3 days later telling me that i needed to return it. They went outsie and it was sitting in their lot. Lame!

I was advised that the trailer that I reserved had a drop gate. When I arrive to pick it up it did not.. I had to pay 3 times the original amount for the only available trailer with a ramp.

TIMOTHY KAs for the 20 foot box truck here are my suggestions. 1. need a step up to get in and out the cab. (I had to buy a step stool) 2. need eletric windows (when you are driving someone else's vehicle you don't want to reck tryinf to roll the windows down) 3. The drink hold is too big for the average drinks. (I tried my three cups) Other than these three (3) thing it went well.

Mitra BThe truck was clearly heavily used - the "oil change required" light was on as well as the check engine light. Upon return, the vehicle was given to an attendant - however I later received a call asking where the truck was. I stated it was returned and heard nothing back (but also did not get a receipt). I had to go back the next day, where the truck was clearly sitting on the lot, and request for them to properly return it.
TEGAN PThe logistics, communication and customer service at both locations was great! The truck was fine overall but hadn't been cleaned out. I had to sweep out a bunch of dirt, mulch and branches before loading our furniture in the back and the cab was full of used tissues, empty cans rolling around and used cigarette boxes. And all the cup holders and seats were really sticky and covered in old soda spills I assume?
Brian WTrucks need to be fueled to near full so that customers can focus on their loading and moving effort, instead of the "Low Fuel" indicator on the instrument panel. That said, this was the best uhaul place I've ever encountered. Impressive operation! Merci.

KAREN MDuring my few months having a Ubox i tried to get access to my belongings/was unable to at least 5 times. I made multiple, hour long drives on different days to the facility only for my ubox to still be in storage and inaccessible to me. Staff was friendly but not very helpful- I called them 2 different occasions to CONFIRM my box would be accessible to me (after scheduling access in the app) before driving up; both of those times box was not out of storage when I was told it would be from both the worker & the app. Overall a very inconvenient experience for myself and the workers. I was charged an additional month since I was unable to get access to move my belongings out in time. Please fix your scheduling system before saying these units will be "accessible". I am unsatisfied, and am VERY much looking forward to canceling my other UHAUL storage unit once I can find another place with availability. I will continue speaking negatively about the experience to anyone who asks.

It was a Thansgiving holiday but no one informed me and I had already left so I relied on a neighbor to let me know it was still there. The reason ended up being a sick employee but communication could have been better

John M | Expérience généraleInspect the trailer before renting it out. The young man at the Bend location told me that the trailer was legal to use. When I turned the right turn signal on, the left signal went on. Now the guys in Hillsboro were great. They ran the tests to be sure it wasn't my vehicle and that it truly was something wrong with the electrical system on the trailer. I would recommend the Hillsboro location. I'll be telling people to stay away from the Bend location.

Worked out great and there was zero hiccups. Very glad that I got the car hauler trailer from them to use. It alleviated so much stress from wearing about if the vehicle I was acquiring was going to make it to my destination over the past. Great experience and if I'm in the area I will definitely be sure to do business with them again if possible. Great experience. 10 out of 10

Jonas CI had the container shipped to this location. Once it arrived, I arranged to come access it so I could get a few things out. It took over 30 minutes from arrival to get the container open. Long story short, it had been bolted shut for transport. One of the bolts was stripped so it had to be cut. All of this while I sat and waited. Why was this not addressed before my arrival since I scheduled this time in advance? And with all that, not once did the owner apologize. Not a good experience.

Auto transporter is the way to go , really nice tlr. Loads of hook points, pulled nicely going down the road, no swaying. Dropped it off on Sunday, man helped me back in , super people. DANIELA PI ordered furniture pads and a dolly but when I picked up the truck neither was in the truck. I asked the woman in charge and she gestured towards the door and said the pads were there. I had to find where they were and put them in the truck myself. Then she said that they didn't have a dolly so she would take it off my bill. However, she failed to do that so I overpaid $12 and had no dolly for my move. This is all very unprofessional and really inconvenienced me to have to move without the dolly I reserved.

Both offered 1 month free rental but manager would only allow one unit free. Large unit unavailable so I had to get medium and small unit. Small unit lock area so dented it is nearly impossible to get the lock on and off. Area around units is so congested that moving a truck around the area is cumbersome and aggravating. Code lock to inside unit works about half the time. Fence actually wouldn't open once despite inputting the code and receiving acknowledgment. Thankfully the store was still open so I was able to flag someone down to open the gate. Not impressed nor am I inclined to recommend.

Watch the video, a sick psychopathic grandfather works there, he let his dogs loose on me, called me obscenities, did not give me a truck, although I just said that I have a stock, I practically do not speak English, but I understand everything, he said he would kill me if I I'll come again, I have video footage, you have it too, I saw that you have a lot of cameras, look at them. This grandfather is sick on his wife's head, he just slaps her on the back of the head, he's really not himself. I will not recommend this office in Bend to anyone. I wanted to sue him, but I urgently needed to fly to Florida. Please deal with this person!!!

Even Locked me out of my storage because my hired mover was stuck inside with a trailer and your staff didn't bother to move vehicles stored inside gate instead of outside. When a customer is literally trapped inside, think we wouldn't be angry? And then lock me out because of "a bad attitude". You need to train your employees. I worked for uhaul out of toledo and I would have been fired for such behavior.

On March 1, I called to change the move in date to March 11 (I spoke to Connie on 2/6 and Cal on 3/1). When I checked into the Bend location on March 11 at the end of my one-way rental, they couldn't find any record of my reservation. The good news is she was able to set me up as a walk-in and there was one unit that was available for me to rent.
Scot D | Premières impressionsThe issues I have with this place are not necessarily the fault of any employee. The staff was always friendly and helpful and the facility was secure. The downsides to the facility are mostly location. This u-haul facility tries its best to get huge trucks and trailers rented out to people in one of the smallest parking lots possible. Their inventory ebbs and flows and I'm sure they try to keep things well stocked. The storage facility is located on the other side of the loading lanes and you have to go through a jam-packed, usually blocked parking lot to get to the gate. To clarify, the blocking happens because of new customers not knowing where to put their car, not because the staff blocks the lane to the storage facility. But, bc of this, I have had to wait for new customers to get back to their car and move which can sometimes trap me at the facility for much longer than I'd like. Then there is trying to leave U-Haul. Definitely use the backroad rather than trying to get right onto the 97N. There's no going South and it's just an unfortunate spot to have this facility. High traffic area, jam-packed parking lot, and limited directions from which you can easily leave. Lastly, I had an outdoor 10 x 10 storage unit and it came with a rat/mouse trap in the corner and the ceiling was falling apart. I came back to my unit after a summer/fall and mice had definitely gotten in there and peed and pooped on everything. Super bummed to have to clean everything again as I move into my new place. When it snows, the aspect of my door is shaded so I frequently dealt with ice and snow making moving large or heavy things, less safe. Most of the town is understaffed and I've never seen anyone at this facility waiting around for something to do, they are all working hard but I'd advise that they take the snowy, icy conditions under consideration and clear a path for people that might be trying to move in the middle of winter. It would be awesome if a new U-haul facility was built better, in a low-traffic area with loads of space, which could improve this situation.

I'll start by saying the staff was helpful and kind, for the most part, and I'm sure are doing their best with this unfortunate location. The unevenness of the ground all throughout is crazy in itself. This facility is extremely hard to access and utilize. When the majority of trucks and other rentable equipment is out being rented, it's a little easier. There was always some kind of equipment located next to the access "driveway" so I never knew what to expect and whether I'd be able to make the tight turn. The storage units are located in a square-shaped space that is barely big enough for 2 vehicles to realistically pass each other around the corners. Even still, they (have to?) store a bunch of U-Boxes inside this already tight space. We had to request they move a couple of these to access our unit one day, which meant one office person had to go use the forklift - sheesh. If we needed to spend any amount of time loading/unloading or just going through our unit, we had to cross our fingers and pray the neighboring units didn't need to access at the same time, otherwise it would have been near impossible. When we brought a moving truck in, even worse. Many a time I had to back out, as there's only one entry/exit point and if you can't get around others, backing out is your only option. Thankfully no one else was ever trying to enter during the times I had to back out. Our unit (so lucky it was on a corner) was also missing some of the weather stripping, so dust and all kinds of outside dirt was swept in over the winter, creating a very dusty, dirty situation all over the items in the front of our unit. We also had vermin - rats and mice - which was extremely unfortunate. The damage included bites to the edges of wooden picture frames & other art (strange) and poop/pee all over many items and boxes. They also nested in a box of coats (all had to be tossed) and in some dresser drawers that contained feathers sealed inside ziploc bags (which they chewed into). So bizarre. Mostly disgusting. I paid for the insurance, but not sure it would be worth mentioning those things. One final thing: not sure if this was due to staffing issues, but the only restroom located within the secure area was closed the entire time we rented "due to Covid", which I took to mean staffing shortages. Very unfortunate to have to walk out, punch out, then punch/walk back in when your unit is in the back.

Paying $99 a month! My movers who moved everything into the unit called me and told me everything was destroyed. I have been crying I was hospitalized and I have been suicidal so I want your company to know what you did to me. Everything I have to my name is destroyed. I grew up in foster care I have no family. I'm 35 years old and everything I own was sentimental. I sent videos and pictures of all my destroy property. My movers are doing a affidavit. There were dead mice on my stuff also! My stuff is saturated and urine and feces. I literally want to die! Thank you for taking my life and destroying it within 4 months. I've never felt like this in my life. I called the facility monthly That's how crazy I am to check my stuff because I was freaking out with anxiety. I wanted to feel like home and get my stuff into my apartment and everything is on my porch. Everything is being tossed. This was the worst thing you could do to someone's life. Your company is horrible for even their response back. I did speak to Anthony and he assured me that he would figure this out with me. It doesn't matter how much you think or how many apologies my life has changed forever because of this. And I hope your whole company understands this. People's property some people are different I needed my stuff this world is so scary and lonely my stuff is what makes me feel not lonely. Sas SAD WORLD.. YOU BROKE ME.

Flood damaged some of stored possessions. Insurance team removed bed mattress, box spring, small couch without ever contacting me. Uhaul is very unorganized, and it wasn't the bend Oregon location, it is your actual company itself and the people on the phone/internet. I did all the steps correctly. I will never use uhaul again.

I never felt so little for HER MISTAKE near people in the store also. I asked her to stop saying my INFO OUT LOUD.. SHE DIDNT!!!! IM SO UPSET FOR THIS UNIT BEING NOT A DRIVE UP ONE AS ASKED. Several times I had to sit and wait for vehicles to be picked up or dropped off in addition to limited room to turn around in the alleyways where the units are due to trucks and trailers being parked in there due to overflow.

Additionally, they now have ZERO inside or outside units of that size. I was told I could pay $50 a month more for a 10x25 unit which I didn't need. But wait, the employee tells me that oops we already reserved that unit to someone else, and has to make a phone call to the woman that reserved it to see if she still wants it. By some random act of chance, she didn't, and I was able to get the 10x25 unit. Being that I am moving away in less than a week I don't have time to search for other available rental units in the area, so I'm stuck having to rent from the incompetent staff at Uhaul self storage of Bend. Stay FAR away from this facility. Either it's a bait and switch to get you to spend more money or the staff don't care to hold your unit for you after you already reserve it with a credit card online. Horrible customer experience. They didn't even offer to take any money off the storage unit after they made the mistake. We won't even mention that they have zero medium or large moving boxes and zero packing materials available in their store when I arrive.. Moving is stressful enough, this company only makes things much, much worse. Buyer beware.

DEBORAH T | Expérience généraleMy unit got flooded due to the drainage system not working correctly and my furniture was damaged and had to be thrown out. I filed a claim and was told it was denied. I have no idea why it would be denied if Uahul's drainage system was not working properly. I will never use Uhaul for storage again.

Ryan S | Expérience généralePoor drainage at the facility caused us major damage and losses when flooding occurred, affecting both of our units, both drive-up and inside. Staff were very helpful in the recovery/clean-up effort, but losses may or may not be covered by U-Haul. Locks were inexplicably changed by the facility even after contents were verified as intact after a second storm, with no explanation provided.

You found a loop hole in the paperwork and chose not to insure our goods. I responded to your inquiry and you still took the liberty of throwing away uninsured items within 24 of your contact after waiting almost two weeks to contact me about the event. What your company did is criminal. I am not threatening action as I know you work for an entity who would rather waste money than do the right thing. So yeah… not very "content". I hope whoever, if anyone, is reading this has a wake up call and realizes they don't have to work for a place who treats people like this. They will screw your over just the same.

ZACHARY B | Premières impressionsAll my stuff got wet and I was double charged. The management was able to work out the charge luckily. Online was confusing and somehow my payment went through but the page kept giving me errors and forced me to put in 3 completely different phone numbers in order to go through. If I wasn't desperate I would take all of my stuff out and request a refund.

I reserved a 15X20X8 but while they did have this size unit, none were available but I was able to reserve it nonetheless. They are working to resolve this U-Haul issue.
David J | Premières impressionsHi I actually didn't end up using the unit and called u-haul less than 24 hrs later to cancel. The help line said to go to the store and they can refund you if you hadn't used it yet. That worked out fine but I was still charged 9,95 for a lock that I never received? I'm not sure if the lock was already attached to the unit because I never went to unit itself. All I know is I have a charge for a lock that was never given to me. Finally just closed it out after a few months of this. I am a non-profit helping the community they wouldn't even give a discount. Overall would never rent a storage here again or recommend them.
Joy C | Expérience généraleU-Haul's website allowed me to reserve the largest storage unit when booking, but I was told there were none available when I checked in, due to the website not screening out unavailable units. The manager was very accommodating in providing other units that could hold everything.
