It has an extremely nice facility. Everything was clean, organized and they are all about their customers!! very bad customer service in the localities, they change your pick-up place on many occasions, and they gave my reservation to another person with my information, nobody knew how to give me an explanation. To finish, they did not even want to receive the truck at the location where they picked it up, they wanted it to be taken to another place regardless of the costs and time of their customers. in short bad serviceMARLON A.

This time my rental I got done what i needed to do however when I arrived at 9am to unload the uhaul box i had delivered to this location for 2 100 $I was told my box had been scheduled for access at 9pm not 9am that day. I explained I was told it would be available at 9am and that this error was not my fault and that I guess the person who arranged it made a mistake. The clerk explained they agreed with this but just wanted to let me know. This makes no sense to me and was very unprofessional in my opinion. The staff here is overall severe and unfriendly in their demeanor towards customer - kind of like prison guards to prisoners. I was recently at a different Uhaui facility where i rented a van and a ubox and loaded it and had a fantastic experience which made the stress of moving so much more manageable. When we went to return the uhaul to the drop off location, they said they had no space and asked us to take it to another location; no problem, good deed of the day. The next location said they had no idea we were coming, and asked us to do the same thing again, saying they don't have space and that people were vandalizing their trucks. The third location was not clear about where to go to turn things in, and while trying to get clarification the manager was quite brusque with us; though the person who actually took the truck in was kind and had great customer service. Regardless, it was unreasonable to have to go to 3 different locations to turn in the Uhaul, and it ended up doubling the cost of the Uber home from 15 to 30 dollars by the end of it. Not the experience I had hoped for and expected of this company.JOSHUA U.

My reservation was cut in half due to the location's after hours lock box being stolen. I was not informed of this prior to my pickup. As a result, I only could have my rented cargo van for two hours, instead of four. I feel like I should receive a partial refund, or be reimbursed in some other way.Kurt H.

Other than the manager, the person who made my reservation was very bad and less interested in helping customers. She messed up my reservation by allocating me wrong truck, it led wrong miles, wrong gas and i had to sit on call with customer rep for 2 hours to figure all this out.Harsha G.

It's not this location. It's the company. Uhaul is truly an awful disorganized company that does not care about its customers. I tried calling the branch 3 times after I made my reservation because I've been promised a truck several times and then showed up to the store where they had nothing for me. I could not get ahold of anyone at the store. Even the uhaul regional staff couldn't get ahold of their own store. Then I show up and big surprise, they're missing one of the trucks I reserved. They tried to get one for me 30 minutes but we're unable to because they had lost the key. I could here the transportation people laughing while they were on speaker phone about the situation. I was able to get one of the trucks I ordered. There was a strong odor of a dead animal inside the truck. Then I go to Penske to pick up a truck and it's just complete night and day difference. I can call the office and actually talk to someone. They're helpful, friendly, everything is organized. They actually clean and service their trucks, and if there's an issue, they take it seriously and try to help the situation. I rent trucks for business use and I have never had a smooth experience with uhaul.Mariam G.

This location is clearly short staffed but the staff seemed to take that out on the customers. One staff member in particular was rude to a few customers and walked out for a break with 10 people in line waiting. Pick up process took way too long, there is no key Dropbox for after hours drops. I reserved the truck until 7:30pm. Your online reservation system allowed this. When I arrived the staff told me they close at 6:30 and don't have a night drop off box. Please modernize your systems so the information is correct when making an online reservation.Matthew W.

This place was so painful to deal with that it was almost comedic. They are in no hurry to help you, and it's very obvious. I arrived at the time of my rental and waited for 35 minutes for them to get through a line of about 5 people. They had a lot of conversations going and seemed to be having a good time so they did seem nice. When I checked out, I selected not to have insurance. It popped up again and I selected no and she asked me who my insurance company was as if I was lying. I also asked for a full 4 hour rental to compensate for the time lost waiting and she made it seem like it was a problem until the other guy said it was no big deal. So then finally I get the keys to a van that is blocked by another van and THAT seemed to take way longer than it should have. I never would have taken the time to write all of this until I actually saw that I've been overcharged for mileage now. I had made a guess at how many miles I would use but made sure I wouldn't be charged that amount as it was a guess. I was charged 17 miles over my guess and I am really hoping they refund it because that is just messed up. The whole thing felt very shady. There were also needles laying in the parking lot and I felt very uncomfortable leaving my car there even in daylight.Amanda F.

1. Why do you cut personnel and force the customer to use your faulty mobile app and make me waste 45mins to pickup a truck? This is the worst experience I have ever had. 2. First you tell me it was 1,39 $ per mile and then charge me 1,89 $ per mile. 3. Why should I pay base fees without some amount of free miles? The pricing is horrible. That means if i just rent the truck and don't drive the truck anywhere, I should pay the base fee. What is this for?Sandesh D.
What a mess. It's like dealing with the government. After not knowing where the van they gave me was, it finally came out. I left and arrived to my destination and the overhead door had a lock on it! I had to drive all the way back to have them unlock it. Lost mileage and time. When I brought it back, they told ME to call â€œtrafficâ€ to have them fix it. No way! It was their mistake, they fix it. Good thing too, the manager made the call and traffic told him they could not do anything. Imagine if I had called. He finally got frustrated and did something that gave me back that unexpected mileage. Amateur hour over there. And the underlings who originally helped me were actually rude to me as well. Told me to â€œfollow rules and procedures and fix it myself. Why isn't renting one of your vehicles as simple/easy as renting a car at any airport. Very unhappy. Bad attitude at that location. Person helped me assigned one truck and gave me different truck. When I turned on engine, I saw different Milleage and gas level. Notified her and she didn't bother to help and just asked me to find the manager and he will resolve. When I dropped the car is when we realized she gave me wrong truck. It took me a whole hour to drop off the truck and manager was the only person who was patient and helpful in this location. I am a long term and loyal customer to U-Haul. When provided my reserved vehicle, it was low on gas, and my trip was going to require getting gas twice. I asked for another vehicle, knowing there were plenty on the lot, but was denied because the employee had â€œalready assignedâ€ this particular vehicle to me. I find it irritating that part way through my use of the vehicle I'm having to stop and fill up. Plus, the mileage noted on my departure was much more than was actually in the vehicle. You will note that I uploaded a picture with the correct amount of gas while checking-in and before departing the Rainier location. When I explained to the employee that my trip was going to exceed the amount of gas in the vehicle it was evident that this person didn't seem to care that I'd need to stop for gas twice because the fuel level was so low. I had asked for a vehicle with more gas and was denied. Instead I got to get gas twice and waste my time versus the employee looking into getting me a vehicle with a more adequate gas level suited for my needs. There were no other customers in line at the time. Customer service fail in my opinion.Joseph O.

The location is understaffed. The lines are too long and processing is slow. I needed a trailer for 20 hours. It took me 40 minutes to receive a trailer and 50 minutes to return. The personnel tried to overcharge me. I needed to return an item I purchased, but they refused to do it. They said they did not know how... Only give it two stars because I saw that the 2 ladys that work there are working really hard. They need more people and/or trainingAlexey G.

The online reservation system is AWFUL. While I was waiting in line 4 different reservations had been messed up or given away. The location was good, but I tried several times to call a person to confirm my reservation, and could never accomplish that. Very excellent service from Miguel, Jerome, and a younger lady I talked with a bit at the Ranier U-Haul location in Seattle. My dad had just passed away recently and he had been in a wheelchair for the past 25 years and due to these circumstances I had a lot going on and Jerome said he would work with me. He got me moved into a few storage units and also worked with me on the late fees for my U-Haul as he said he understood where I was coming from with my Dad passing away. Excellent A++++ service I will recommend U-Haul to anyone I know that is moving and also be sure to recommend the U-Haul location on Ranier specifically to anyone looking to move around this area.Jacob M. | Premières impressions
