From start to finish I was very impressed with the process. Robert Chionino got me set up in about 5 minutes (while helping another client at the same time). He is a very professional, polite and skilled young man, I would keep my eye on him if I were you, he has potential. The vehicle was the cleanest truck I have ever rented. Drop off was incredibly easy. Bottom line, have already told several people about my positive experience. I hope they use the Sherwood U-Haul for any future needs. Well done by all.Mike J.

billing. The quote , the transaction receipts and my credit card charges dont relate to each other And of course the cc charges are higher than the quote The arrival was scheduled 7/22. If you couldnt make that date you should have been updront. Before the box left NJ i get a call from uhaul wanting the box number for me ??? This made me wonder whether inwas getting my box. I flew across country to be there on 7/22 to find out it would be delayed until 8/1 and since i live on the eat coast this was more than inconvenient and costly. then a few days later it was rescheduled to 8/8.... and then i got 2 texts one scheduling 8/1 and one 8/8. And after i got the box on 8/1 uhaul is still calling me about dropping off the box 8/8..... too many people working the same problem and you changed the shipment number and at least 3 times you wanted a picture of the dropoff spot... what are you doing with the pictures im uploading..... The very worst thing about the move was the uhaul recommended movers .. everything i packed is fine what they handled not so.... they didn't tie down anything .... they wanted to carry furniture unwrapped because they could get a better grip.... i had to stop them from sliding a wood piece of furniture down wood steps... and then they decided not to put the piece upright but slide on the bottom if the Ubox.. not tied down furniture slid causing some damage I had to instruct then to put the heavy book box on the bottom and boxes marked fragile above. Out of all the moves i have had these were absolutely the dumbest movers ever. I had to repack everything the next day..... so i hope you will take off taj and Bro movers unfortunately they will probably pop up with another nameJoan C.

The Uhaul we received was behind other ones ready to go and had to be pulled out. Then it was filthy inside and out. The cargo area was dirty on the ground with something sticky. The driving area had a lighter, gum, and a phone holder in it. The whole front of the truck and windshield area were filthy and could not see well. The truck was very damaged as well. It has a hole on one side of it! There was extra fees upon pick up, over and beyond the $10 and $5 fees.ERINNE C.

Equipment was clean, but the running lights on the trailer didn't work. Turn signals and brake lights worked though. I was charged for three days, but returned the trailer in under 24 hours. It took a few days to get the refund of the two addition as l days I was erroneously charged for.Wayne B.

Everything was great, and the rotating manager who assisted me was extremely helpful. There was another staff member there earlier in the day that was the opposite of helpful, but the gentleman that helped in the afternoon more than made up for it. The stored contents which were there for 4+ years were all in good condition, except for a wool rug that was not wrapped and had moth damage. This was frustrating, though a number of silk rugs and silk items stored in the same unit were luckily fine. I'm not sure how this happened, and I know that one year into storage, everything was fine. In the future, I would definitely wrap any consumable materials and pack them with desiccants for long-term storage, as I had with the other wool rugs.gary h. | Expérience générale
Having the pickup location an hour up and back was not convenient since we had moving helpers coming to help us move and the U Haul computers weren't working. The self service program was very unclear and I got my uhaul an hour late, then was charged for returning my rental late when I notified the location I would be returning it late. The employees were very nice but systems and policies were miscommunicated causing delay for me and no additional time added to my rental. Please clarify the step by step instructions for self service rentals and ensure staff advises of the same policies across the board. This delay caused me another day's worth of a rental, $20 additional.Colleen J.

Had to drive 30 minutes away from my online pick up originally in Lake Oswego 1/2 block from my storage unit, therefore 1 hour out plus gas and travel miles, my uhaul load people only worked 1 1:2 hour since late because going to get uhaul truck round trip one hour later. Very very upset for me. Then unload uhaul people were over an hour later to unload therefore I was later returning truck and charged and extra $57 dollars I reserved my truck two months out and no one could deliver it to the site I reserved online and put the uhaul loaders late and I was late from 10:00 pick up, and by going extra distance to pick up my truck put me over my miles that uhaul added extra charges. What a scam!!! And not consumer friendly. Please check out other mover services. This is not okay!!!Vicki L.

If you can, get better staffing numbers. I felt like they were understaffed when I arrived, and there was too much pressure on employees to make up the difference for too few employees. They were good with me, but I overheard difficulties with manning, and I feel either corporate or management is unduly putting pressure on current staff to make up the low staff issues. Do right by your current employees. Staffing sucks right now everywhere, but don't fuck with your loyal employees working on a busy day. You're gonna lose the good ones when they have to make up for your mistakes too often. I felt this was confirmed when I got a call about two hours or so after turning my vehicle in. Because they were so busy they couldn't even properly get my vehicle checked in. All employees I dealt with did a good job, but I think with corporate understaffing I felt like I could have had a better experience. This whole process was literal hell. You guys are so unorganized and it was extremely frustrating dealing with Uhaul. The ONLY person who was helpful throughout the process was Amanda from Beaverton. She deserves a raise. Everyone else I spoke to was absolutely no help and/or had no idea what they were even doing. There were many mistakes made, came way later than the 3 hour delivery window, couldn't tell me where the driver was or when they were coming, couldn't make a payment and kept getting passed around, just an overall horrible experience.Malory N.

The move in process was so easy in the app and my unit was ready for me with a lock inside when I arrived. The only time I needed to speak to U-Haul associates was on truck pickup and to ask how to access the loading dock near the elevators. The guys at this location handlers there job incredibly well. The place was packed and they were getting people in and out of there quickly. I picked my truck up after doing it all online and self check in. I got charged for an additional day for only running three hours over the estimated time. When I asked if I could take the truck for the second day that I paid for they said no. Seems illegal to charge and then do not provide the service for which you charged. You even charged for insurance for a second day. Shameful. I will be posting reviews on line.Robert C.
I did not have an issue with any of the staff. All the staff (I engaged with) were friendly and helpful. My issue is more so with a possible faulty gas gauge. I rented a pickup truck and drove only 16 miles--yet I had to fill with 2 gallons of gas. This is a questionable amount since the Uhaul website states a gas mileage of approximately 19 MPG (for the pickup truck).Corey K.

I created a reservation on 4/26/22 and not one time did anyone mention that there was a One Way Rental issue, not on the website up to June 3rd. On June 18th I spoke to a 800 uhaul employee, then was transfered to Portland Oregon scheduler who tried contacting Uhaul Lake Oswego and they didn't answer. I sent 4 text messages through my Uhaul account and no response from the store. I called twice and no answer. I can go on but I think that you get the point. I was charged two fees at each location that I picked up the 15 ft truck and then the next day a tow dolly and neither location could remove the additional fee. Disappointed!!!!Carlyn D.

There is ALWAYS an issue with the POS system. There was only one poor girl in the morning which resulted in me and another customer waiting for over 25 mins while she helped hook up a trailer. There's no service to do the online check in so it forces you to go in (eventually found out they have free Wi-Fi). When dropping off the truck, I pulled up to the return area and sat there for almost 10min while an employee made eye contact with me but never approached the truck. So, I figured I'd just return it online. Online told me to park the truck in a spot, which I did. This employee who made eye contact with me came up to me to tell me I can't park the truck- it has to be returned to the return area. We went back and forth for some time but he just gave me this dead behind the eyes look. I finished up the online return before going back to where I started. Even when I pulled up to the return area again, he didn't even acknowledge me. So I walked in to the store to return the keys and there were 3 employees just sitting there chatting away. Safe to say that this location has lost my business. I've always used this location in the past because I've had nothing but great experiences. This ONE has solidified that I will use other moving truck companies going forward.Marissa M.

I am very displeased that we were denied to add another ubox onto our original order. We ordered 4 uboxes and we wanted 1 more ubox at the original price of our order and we were denied. We have had nothing but issues with our ubox ordering. The only time we got successful service is when we talked to the manager at the Uhaul location. ALL the service and reservations we made on the phone with uhaul was not communicated to the location and we also had to call to find our 4th ubox that was not listed in our account, that in fact was already loaded with our belongings.Robert W.

OVERCHARGED ME FOR GAS! I have rented many UHaul trucks over the years in several states and this Sherwood location is the ONLY place that has ever charged me for gas after I put enough in the truck when I returned it! Don't use this location unless you have to...they are sharks!!JEANNINE C.
Rented over $1500 of equipment to move from Montana to Oregon, 6/10-6/12. Due to unforseen circumstances, I needed storage for a few things temporarily, I was told I had 2 months free storage. While I was taking care of paperwork, husband was moving things into unit, then I was told, since it was ground floor, not free, so had to pay $79,95 or move stuff. Then last Friday, moved things out, as my husband approached the door, to give notice of move out, someone locked the door in his face! I called immediately, connected to call center, but by Tuesday, they apparently still had not received message, as they called me inquiring if I had moved out or if I wanted to pay for another month. I reserved a storage unit and a truck. Online it stated that it was 1 month free rent, with a free lock. Apparently my unit didn't qualify for a free month bc it was on the ground floor, even though online it stated it qualified and when I called prior to arriving was reassured that it qualified for a free month of rent. When I came in to complete my reservation he stated that there were no ground floor units available, even though that is what I reserved online. The form to be completed for storage I had to fill out 3 separate times because they wouldn't accept the secondary contact person as someone in the same house, my secondary phone # couldn't be my work number because it had an extension. I then came to get into my unit, and there was a green zip tie on my door, which due to having a disability (MS) I could not get it off without having a pair of scissors. I asked one of the workers if he had something to remove it and he was incredibly rude, and said "maybe try using your hands, it pulls right off" mind you we were in the other side of the building from where my unit was when I located him, he then made me walk all the way down there to watch him pull it off. Great for you, but I physically cannot pull it off and make certain movements with my hands due to my MS. This is an obstacle I face daily and can be incredibly frustrating when your hands don't work the same way as someone else, but this just rubbed that in my face of a day where I was already having a challenging time. He grabbed the lock in the package handed it to me and yet again I'm faced with the predicament of having to open a package and the inability to do so because of my disability, I don't have the strength to be able to do many things with my hands. So he took the lock opened it and then handed it back very abrasively. I said thank you I appreciate your help, I didn't get a response, so I said thank you a little louder in case he didn't hear me, and he just kept his back turned and kept walking shaking his head. When I first got to the storage, I had an issue with the keypad not recognizing my code and he said "it's works just fine, if you use the right code box." This man was the rudest individual, and could have simply handled this situation by just taking the tag off for me (saying oh sure I can grab it for you, no problem) instead of making me walk and make two extra trips empty handed with my 4 year old son I had with me, and that would have been that. He was extremely rude, inconsiderate, Condescending, and Far from efficient in his attempts to help and made it very well known he was annoyed and didn't want to assist. My move out date was 8/1 actually and not 8/6. But the team was short staffed that night and busy. The nice blonde lady in her late 30's(didn't catch her name) got the lobby room caught up at closing while the team was busting their tails on the trucks to close and she definitely knew what she was doing. Both General Manager John McDonald and Storage Manager Mark Hansen went above and beyond to meet my needs - arranging for units or a combination of units that provided the storage space I needed and allowing flexibility on move-out dates - all in a good and friendly spirit. Mark the manager and or supervisor gave my password / code to a person who paid for a unit but was not currently on any contract within the facility. Allowing that person access to the facility, this person then broke into my storage unit and took my safe containing jewlery,, my tools and anything else valuing approximately $5000 o4 more. I later was able to negotiate most of it back since I know this person and this person felt that I owed them personally. When I made the complaint and asked Mark about this he played dumb to the situation and lied to me about it. It wasn't until this same person and I were at this storage facility at the same time, were they able to point Mark out as the person who gave them the password/code. Mark then went on to over exaggerate small situations that I had possibly been wrong in, yet other uhaul customers were doing the same thing. He began speaking to me rudely, threatening to kick me out and ultimately only allowing me access during business hrs, locking my storage units with uhaul locks. This posed a problem for me because I work nights at times and daylight hours were hard for me to work around those restrictions. When my account was restricted I continued to be charged a $10 24hr access fee for months. When I was charged incorrectly for various reasons throughout my stay, he would not correct the error and locked my account to where only him and John, his manager, had access to making any changes or adjustments on my accountI. He took my photo on a cell phone without my permission, assuming I was doing something wrong. And I was NOT! I was infact working very hard to clean up a mess during the moving process where shampoo got all over a box and its entire contents.I feel like it is a complete violation of uhauls policy, if not against the law for a manager or supervisor to give out the code to someone who is not authorized on any account, nor are they an account holder bound by a contract with U-Haul. I was a little confused about having to arm and disarm the security on my unit. I did not realize I had to enter a code until I tried to access my unit a few days after check-in and an alarm went off. That was the only small issue I've had, and it was clarified when I asked about it at the front.
