Employee that was working refused to help me because I was not parked in the customer parking, even though the lot was empty and there were no other customers. Returned the truck after extending the rental by 24 hours by contacting the scheduling department. I think its crazy the attitude I got from the guy checking me in. "We've been trying to get ahold of you for a couple days" I replied that we spoke with scheduling and extended the rental by 24 hours. He replied with "well scheduling never told us about it". Seems like a communication issue within the company and the fact they talk to paying customers like that is freaking insane. No where near a good customer experience at all. The truck had 2 issues that made my move more difficult than it should have been. First: The ramp was too short in ratio to the truck size. This resulted in it being more steep than the last 3 uhaul trucks I've rented, which in turn increased the physical excertion necessary to use the dolly on the ramp. Second: The shocks were terrible. A friend rented her own truck the day before and we drove the same exact route. He rental truck took the potholes and broken road as you exist a uhaul truck to perform. However my truck shock, rocked and bounced so badly that one of my stabilizing straps broke and my small shelf light fell over. I informed the employee who checked my truck back in and didn't seem very concerned about it and made no comment on my broken property (negative nor positive).Myra J.

Had originally reserved at 4110 E Sprague location. I did a pre-check-in, but still had to wait in line only to find out while they were serving another customer that they didn't have the equipment I reserved, because they had to send him to another location. I also had to go elsewhere for my equipment. It caused a 1,5-hour delay for me. New location still wanted it back within 6 hours of my reservation time despite the fact that my late receipt of the equipment was not my fault.Craig L.

The pricing that I was given online to the pricing of when I picked up my rental was complete Ludacris online it said that I would have to pay roughly $140 and that was with the insurance and then I couldn't figure out the mobile app just pick up you know on your phone so I went into the store and then they charge me $199 so that's over way over than what they quoted me online then when I checked out he wanted another $179 I don't f****** understand not at allDillon T.

It was amazing how slow this location is and how little they cared about how long we waited. It's almost like employees at every business nowadays takes pride in incompetence! The problem here is that Spokane Valley was NOT my requested pickup location, and was NOT what my reservation said. I wanted Moscow Idaho!!!!! When I went to pick it up there you can imagine my frustration when he told me he did not have a trailer for me AND I would have to go to Spokane Valley U-haul to get one. That's a 3,5 hour round trip (from Moscow) to go get my reserved trailer that was supposed to be in Moscow!!!! I am furious about that!!! I received NOTHING, no email, no phone call or anything telling me I didn't have a trailer reserved in Moscow until I went in to pick it up. I emailed reservation said I had it reserved in Moscow. This is UNACCEPTABLE business practice!!!!!!! I will never use U-haul again due to the mishandling of this!!!!!! How is a customer supposed to know if they really have a reservation for a u-haul trailer?? Your reservation procedures need to be overhauled and fixed dramatically. This is not Spokane Valley U-haul's fault, this is the reservation system and the complete lack of any communication to your customer.Brian B.

The guy that helped us was a bit strange. I work with many other employees at my company, and I wouldn't let any of them act like this guy did at this location. First off, he was very rude and off putting. He was cleaning and moving returned vehicles as my son and I walked right past him and into the building. We waited for about 10 minutes before I went out and asked if there was anyone attending the front desk. He seemed put out and even commented in a rude way that he didn't see us go in. Then proceeded to tell me that renting a car hauling trailer to haul a car was "Sketchy". My son and I had a pretty good laugh about this, because we had to haul his broken down truck from Sullivan to our house out in the Valley on 30th. It was extremely easy with the car hauling trailer. I would think that the last thing a customer needs from Uhaul employees is for them to put doubt into their minds about what they are renting. He seemed like he didn't really want to go through the hassle of renting us the Trailer, which we only used for about an hour or so. He was bad mouthing the company and the lack of employees. I even commented to my son that he should go and apply and then take this guys job, work hard, move up and run the place himself. At least I know that my son would work hard and not complain to the customers. The guy has tons of job security, it seemed really busy, so what did he have to complain about? Very strange to me. After 8 trailer rentals since mid December I finally have a less than pleasant return of property experience. Your property is always well cleaned and in the same condition that it is rented in. However on this last rental, because I did not use the 'on-line' return option, I had to spend 30-ish minutes waiting in line to get someone to check in the trailer. This put me at just over 4 hours 'late' from the expected 7:30 return time. For this I was charged an extra day. Very irritating to say the least. .ElliotWayne L.

Short staffed. Makes for some long waits. Upon pick-up, I got some grunting and few words in response when we spoke. Checking the trailer back in, the employee used complete sentences and manners. I was frustrated that I reserved a trailer from a storage unit contracted with Uhaul. Apparently, they did not have the trailer I needed and my reservation changed. My confirmation email did not reflect this location change. It really made my day/timeframe frustrating and extra stressful. Something should alert the person renting. Only issue we ran into was accessing the unit through a door other than the loading bays. There are no specific instructions at those doors as to how to what you need to enter to gain access using them. When we moved out the loading bays were full and we had to maneuver around another customers items in order to exit the bay door with ours. When I made a reservation for my storage I was never told anything very bad communication and it made my day bad!’I tried calling the number 509 922 4465 that’s what they told me to call if anymore questions!! All huge access doors were broken and made unhauling very inconvenient. There was only one man operating the front when a huge line of help was needed. My paid for movers (mind you hired through your uhaul services) had to wait 30 mins to do their job that I paid them to do because of the inconvenience of all the large doors being closed off.. When I needed assistance with the doors I was unable to receive help as there was a 30 min wait to get assistance from the 1 man doing everything by himself. Then when asked if he could open up the larger automatic door he left snd never came back. I was put next to someone who I guess works out of theirs, or something. Literally lines the walk way with their stuff, cant get a cart through. Why they were not put at the end of the row so they can use the corner and hall with the book end, where there are doors, and its the far corner no one uses it, except me to go around to get access. I don't know. I had to have an employee get me a cart from them as they were using it sit stuff on a record players, and when asked just moved it to a milk crate. This place is not ready for move in construction Equipment and people all over the place blocking the doors to get in my first month was supposed to be free I’ve paid for it the manager said it would be returned to me I still have not seen that when telling the manager we couldn’t find the storage place we had to ask construction workers how to get there and telling him that construction equipment was blocking the way he said yeah it’s challenging right now very dissatisfied with the service would not recommend this place to anyone don’t think that it’s ready for move-injohn l. | Online Move In
Rate this storage facility at U-City POOR. The Staff was nice and tried to be helpful but they were not trained in the U-Haul system to move in customers. It took a lot of phone calls to their Manager Adam to figure out how to admit us. We had to wait 3 hours for our pre-reserved storage unit. When we finally were in the system and signed the contracts and got our access code to the storage facility, the entire system was down and we could not get in. More phone calls to the Manager Adam. It took another hour to get access. By this time we were tired and still had an entire Truck to unload. We did not know the storage units were under ground and have to use an elevator to get to it. This is so messed up. By this time it is after hours. We even tried to see if we could get another storage facility somewhere else, but all of the other places were closed by this time and it is Saturday night. No places are open on Sunday. So we endured the torture of unloading the truck and using a small dolly provide by U-Haul to get all of our stuff moved in. This took way to long. And to top it all off, when we were done which was late into the night, the security system went down again and we could not get out of this facility. Phone calls to U-Haul go unanswered. You cannot get a live person and their emergency call button did not work. Their secure garage doors to get out are 20 feet high. Luckily we had a ladder that we put in storage and was able to use it to climb up and pull the latch release so we could lift the door to get out. I do not see how U-Haul thinks these storage units are going to work with only 2 bays to drive into and then move/haul in an elevator underground. It takes 3 times as long to move in and IF their system goes down you are either locked out and worse, locked in and cannot get out. If I would have known this facility was set up this way we would have paid for storage elsewhere. I can see why they are advertising one month free. We will be moving out ASAP...after we get rested up. This is the worst moving experience we have ever had. And to find out this facility has only been open for a couple days and no training for the employees, plus a poor system with a lot of bugs to work out. This is not how this was advertised on line.
