They didn't refuel the truck before our rental, so we had to stop for gas. Truck wasn't ready for 7pm (our booking time), we had to wait about 40 minutes. Front bumper was cracked and passenger mirror was also cracked on our truck.

He purchased the location just days ago so he's improving on the sub-par product that was offered by whoever managed the location before. The back area of the truck was clean, but the cab was nasty. Windshield was pretty filthy on the inside. Entire inside cab could use a thorough cleaning, including the seats and the floors. Vehicle also had next to no gas in it when received - would have been nice to start with a full tank.

lennox D.I reserved a 20 foot truck thinking it might be a little too small, but that would be okay. I could leave small things and get them another time with my SUV, although it would mean another 5 hours of driving. No one from uhaul called me so I called the the pickup location on pickup day and a very very nice guy Rezwan, told me they did not have a 20 foot truck for me, only a 15 footer. Then chaos, an afternoon with two personal visits to the pickup location and numerous phone calls messing up my entire afternoon of work and no 20 foot truck. I did the move with a helper I hired for $360 for 12 hours and now have to go back and get items I can't get in my SUV. Extremely annoyed that uhaul says yes and then does not deliver or expects us to go to another far off location to get what was promised.

The truck this time was at an awkward angle but the guy got it out for me. Only thing to mention was to check the fuel - there wasn't much left when I picked it up. Thankfully I wasn't going far!

Tony R.Person working on the computer to verify booking is extreme slow making us wait for almost half an hour. This causes delay in the moving as elevators are booked for limited time period. If trucks are pre-booked, we shouldn't be waiting to receive the truck.
Aniruddh K.I had ot go to ta further location than I wanted to and was promised extra kilometres since I would be wasting time comuting to the location and adding kilometres to my trip because of the extra distance, but I did not get my extra kilometres and I am being charged for the extra distance. The equipment was good otherwise.

Mario M.Horrible experience. The staff refused to return the equipment. They insisted that I drop to another location despite having arranged in advance to drop at the current location. Then they said to leave the equipment, but would have to process the return later since I cost them so much time. When I came back that evening, the online system showed that the equipment was still signed to me and the return had not been processed. I did it all manually myself online.

Paul C.Staff was nice but just said I'd get a text and let me go. They wanted my contract and I insisted I keep it so that I had something concrete proof of my agreement. Then they took me inside and just wrote down my name so they knew who was returning the truck. The tiny office was particularly messy and dirty. I had to remind them to check the mileage. Worst of all, there is no parking lot for this location so I had to parallel park the truck on a busy downtown Toronto street! I parallel park all the time but for someone who doesn't, this would have been really difficult and scary. Must say that the staff was fine.

We went to check out in the office and the miles noted down didn't add up. We went back to the truck to take a picture of the truck and it was way lesser. It was changed to the actual miles.

I realize that the staff had little other options but perhaps the reservations for the extras should not be made available online?

The parking place was so small and very hard to get the truck out, so I wasted another 15 minutes just to trying to get the truck out. Would NEVER go to this location again.

I arrive a bit late, and when I arrived he smiled, called me by name and said, "we were expecting you a while ago... glad you made it." What a wonderful way to make me feel valued at the start of what I knew would be a hot, humid, stressful day of moving. At the end of the day he was patient & pleasant, even though I arrived just 15 minutes before closing. He checked everything quickly, closed out the rental right then and there (so no surprises later on) and had me on my way with a smile and a nod. If ever I need to rent another truck/trailer, I'll definitely head back to Charles' location, even though it'd be a bit out of my way now.

Gear shifting was were odd.. it gives jerks on each shift and shifts take long time to take place.. aften RPM meter was 4 to 5k rpm before it switches. 2. Takes lot of RPM every time before shifting gear.. 3. Poor milage due to above two points 4. Worst of all... Air conditioner wasn't working and there was heat warning in effect.. cabine was like oven..

Also the truck I ordered was not available so I had to take smaller which resulted in not all my belongings be able to fit. As well the truck mirrors were non adjusting so I had trouble seeing so I had to take side roads. I had requested a one way which again was non available so I had to do a two way. This was a terrible experience overall.
BRYONY M.It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional that the truck I rented as a one way vehicle was changed with less than 36 hours notice to be returned to the pick up location. It added significantly more time and frustration to my move. When I tried to discuss with uhaul customer service, they hung up on us. I'm not sure I'll be a returning customer to uhaul. Very disappointing.

Tony R.- No vehicle available for my one-way trip. I found out the day before - Was overcharged by the location. Luckily I had taken photo's as proof to get a refund - Had to speak to 4 people from support on 5 different calls to finally get told I would receive a refund - Still didn't receive a refund. I emailed a week later and was told the location manager still wanted to review (after I was told the refund was processed the week prior) - Had to email in again another week later and either suggest I would have to leave a very negative review or dispute the charges with my bank. I finally received the money I was owed that day. What a headache. I am a big fan of U-haul and actually did a case study on your company several years ago. I was so impressed with the business idea and entrepreneurship. It has been tough to see the level of service start to decline over the past couple of years.
