Unbelievable service! The gentleman that helped me rent it and return it was incredible! Service in this industry is typically rushed, in and out. Vans U-Hauk on MLK / 55th is the only place I'll rent moving forward! Finally a rental place that is committed to your overall satisfaction! AND he wears On Clouds too!!

While the inside of the van was clean it smelled like an f-ing ashtray, which was disgusting. The outside the van was filthy. Though the gentleman who helped me was terrific.. unlike the original location where I had my reservation, 425 NE Broadway. When I got there, none of the employees could help me because they were never trained on how to rent a van! Seriously?! It screwed up my entire day. I did speak to someone on the phone and they said they would transfer my reservation to the self check in on the app but unfortunately that didn't work so I had to go to a different location. Sadly this is not the first time I've had issues with renting from U-Haul. On many occasions, there have been very aggravating issues. From now on, I will rent from someone else.
Josef RLast rental had a filthy exterior, this time both inside and out was unacceptable. Dirt and dried mood on floors, back of van had dry dirt. It is obvious there is NO effort in renting even a marginally cleaned out vehicle. I rented same van last week and the mileage rate was .89. This week its 1.19. I called support, they were unable to tell me why, Asked another dealership, they had no idea. Asked the renting facility and they had no idea.
Guy GOutside of van was filthy, passenger side door looked as though someone had vomited out the window. I received the van with an empty fuel tank.

Kalifa GI reserved a vehicle for 3:30 online. I showed up at 3:25. The employee was with another customer until 3:50. This cut nearly half an hour out of my rental time. The employee did the best he could to speed through, but needing multiple phone numbers was particularly frustrating.

I tried to upload pictures at home a the app would not accept them, so I had to go back to the drop off place so I was recognized as on location by the app. It took forever and I would never recommend this to anyone.

Also when I filled up the tank it took close to 5 gallons and I only drove 21 miles. The gauge said it was on full when I took the van but it was not filled up totally.

Nathan QDO NOT REQUIRE USE OF A MOBILE APP TO CHECK OUT. Please I am serious. It is profoundly frustrating and counterproductive. The site or app requires you to take pictures of the vehicle when turning it in, to protect against liability claims no doubt; but when turning the vehicle in at night, there's no light source available, so the pictures are not likely to be useful. The experience is profoundly frustrating. I would much rather talk to a human person.

Daniel SThis was the filthiest UHaul location we have ever rented from. The man who helped us initially was pushy and in such a rush that we could barely look over the truck. We had to ask him to stop so we could look it over and take pictures of some pre-damage that wasn't already marked. There was a service light that kept coming on that made it difficult to take pictures of our mileage when we returned the truck. The parking lot was pitch black where we returned the truck and definitely not in a safe area of town. Asking folks to take pictures of a truck in a dark parking lot is ridiculous. The only thing that went "well" was the gentleman who was working in the gas station store when we returned the keys. The evening shift guy who took our keys was helpful and gave us clear information to be sure we did our checkout correctly. Kudos to him.

RANDY GThe U-Haul website somehow allowed me to book movers who weren't actually available for the time slot I needed them. So I wasted a truck rental and hours of my time because of U-Haul's faulty reservation system. Both the U-Haul location and the vendor (moving company, who really wanted to help but they were already on a job noon-4, and UHaul.com allowed me to book them 2-4 for some reason) were great, I'm emphasizing I'm disappointed in the U-Haul reservation system.

AUBREY MBetter customer service. U-Haul seemed to be run as a side business at this location, and customers did not seem to be priority. The app experience was spotty and unhelpful, so I had to wait for 15 minutes for the person running the business to start looking into my reservation. They didn't have the dolly's I had reserved and I wasn't made aware ahead of the time.
