This applies to my online booking, horrible booked equipment for a location near my home pickup 2 pm. Only to receive a call that equipment was not available, but U-Haul said they could provide a truck 30 miles away at Vans, I told them to cancel I wasn't driving the additional 120 miles to pick up and drop off the van, the U-Haul traffic manager said he would provide credit for the extra mileage. So I was expecting a littler over $100 150 bill. Only to find out after dropping off van with more fuel than it left with that U-Haul charged me over 300 dollars!!!! This is theft and probably common practice for U-Haul as when I called customer service they weren't surprised at all no help no assistance nothing but further aggravation! Highly advise using another rental company!

mark lThe owner was very nice. My wife and I needed a small trailer to transport a washer and dryer to our children, and his business was the only one open on a Saturday. The rate was reasonable and much appreciated. If we need to rent a unit again, we'd be happy to return to Van's business.
daniel sVan was the best part of this entire transaction. I was unhappy that my initial pick up location was changed when I was initially assured by personnel there that there would be no problem with picking up there and they had plenty of trucks (which I know they did after passing it today on my way to Van's). The phone rep I spoke with yesterday was rude and kept interrupting me. Van however was a breath of fresh air and even agreed to meet me early today, even though he was technically closed. He showed how exceptional customer service is demonstrated.

SCOTT ASurprised that the bill had insurance added. I reserved location online. U-Haul contacted me saying specific trailer reserved was not at location. I agreed to renting larger trailer than needed for convenience. Never received any paperwork but surprised to see insurance added to upgraded trailer. Fault U-Haul reservations for that mishap

CHRISTINA STow dolly was broken and should never been rented out. We were lucky to make it back, as it was broken and had been marked not to rent. The man at the place we rented it was very sweet but he should have known not to rent that to two women traveling alone over 500 miles.

tony hPlease know that the poor rating for Van's is not how I feel about this location. The owner was kind, helpful and very professional. Unfortunately my experience with this uhaul reservation did not start with or end with such together and caring individuals as he, in fact he was the ONLY individual throughout my experience that would have a top mark rating. However your flawed system does not give me the opportunity to rate the individuals who never showed or the those who wouldnt answer their phones, or those who didnt think it important to inform me of changes to my reservations or any of the many many many uhaul employees I spoke with who heard of my issues and offered a mere "I'm sorry" as compensation for the ridiculousness that continued throughout the entirety of my experience with this company. So unfortunately since writing my review and giving my ratings can only be done to the two locations that I ended up with between headache after headache. I feel I'm forced to give low ratings to those who dont deserve them because I am not allowed to rate those who do. I only ended up using this pick up location (30 miles out of my way) because no one at the original location in Palestine showed up for my appointment and would not answer the phone. Even though they had called, text and emailed a confirmation for the date time and location the night before! The 1 800 line couldnt contact them either and moved my reservation to a location way out of the way NEVER ONCE offering any kind of compensation for the inconveniences.
Leigha SVan Brown is the owner/manager of the store and he is the only person I would ever want to deal with. He is nice, understanding and accommodating--plus I felt at home immediately talking to him--and he helped me with getting my vehicle off the tow dolly. Very painless experience and I wish all Uhaul dealerships were run like his!
