I arrived about 15 minutes early. Open time is 9am. Nobody showed up until 9:20 and that took a couple of phone calls. The truck was not clean. When returning the vehicle the experience was much better.Vince D.

The employee dropped my moving blankets on the ground. They were covered in dirt and leaves. He then proceeded to put them in the truck without dusting them off. There was nowhere to park the truck after I was done. There was a long line during my drop off. One person was working the counter while another sat behind them and played on their phone.TAYLOR S.

This location was in an unsafe looking part of town, tucked underneath a highway. The lot was packed, with no room for new trucks, and the building was an old trailer. The employees were intentionally not helpful- they even gave me a phone number to call that wasn't a real phone number. I felt like I needed to call Uhaul to confirm that this was a real location and these were real employees- it looked and felt incredibly unsavory and unwelcoming.Morgan D.

Your website stinks and numerous customers were having problems getting numbers and validations - the poor guy behind the counter kept his cool though and got me out of there in ten minutes. During that time I was attempting to use your website and it wasn't helpful in the leastBRADLEY JAMES A.
The gas indicator tricked me and I paid more money to have it back where it was. By the time I left the gas station, it started moving again and went way up which means i paid around 10 $extra dollars because it wasn't working as it should.Eisa A.
This location provided me with a faulty vehicle. When it broke down, I expected to hear an apology and be offered a refund. Instead, I was grilled about how it broke and made to feel as if it were my fault. In addition, they tried to tack on additional fees for gas I didn't use. Only after a phone call to complain and negotiating did I get my bill reduced. At no point in any of this rental process did anyone show any empathy for the customer. Poor service, poor policies, and unreliable equipment. Very disappointing.Jenna K.

Check fuel guages and schedules on your vehicles before renting them out. Double check to ensure correct vehicles for correct customers. When I picked up my reservation, the truck was basically running on E for fuel. Then, as I was almost to my destination, the location called me multiple times (while I was driving) to try and get me to return the truck because they gave me the wrong one. These two things were pretty irritating and I can't say I had the greatest experience.TIARA B.
There was nobody at the desk when I dropped off my keys and the price for the uHaul almost doubled since last year when I used to rent. I called the facility and they told me there was nothing they could do about it as the prices were set by uHaul.ALEXANDER F.
UHaul needs to tune up it's IT. During this transaction the screen froze when I was trying to use my credit card adding an extra 5 minutes to my check out. In addition your employees are very driven by the clock and closing time. This was my second attempt at getting a van to move a piece of furniture. My experience on Sunday was horrible. The computer at the first location was down and the attendant not helpful. We were sent to a second location which was closing up which we had not been advised of and we were unable to do the online check in because the screen kept freezing again, The IT needs to work.Ann C.
Someone was training so it took over an hour in line. I understand of course that placed are short staffed, but there should have been some communication with customers. We were just left outside of a trailer waiting, not even sure what was going on. The staff was very attentive once we got inside though.Monica H.

The passenger side mirror was shattered and the fish eye mirror was missing. This location was aware of the issue but had not noted it in the vehicle record, did not attempt to fix the issue and, when I asked for a replacement set of mirrors, was told they could not help me. Driving a truck without a passenger side mirror is extremely dangerous. To address the problem they failed to address, I stopped at an auto parts store and purchased a fish eye round mirror and adhered it to the shattered mirror. I worked to address the problem this location failed to address. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with UHaul.MARK B.
For the second time in a row, this location ripped me off over fuel. On my contract, it shows that my total rental was 13 miles, and they charged me for 10 gallons of fuel. Manager refused to refund the overage, saying it was my fault, and refusing to accept that there was no way a vehicle driven 13 miles required 10 gallons of fuel. This person should be put out of business. I am considering legal action.BRODIE C.

I had on reserve 12 moving blanket. This was very very important to our move. The man at the pick up location said that they were out. I said I had 12 on reserve. He shrugged his shoulders looked at me like I was stupid and said that's what happens with U-Haul. I spent half a day driving that large truck around downtown Portland fighting parking and going to goodwill stores trying to find something to cover our furniture with. To make matters worse there was two piles of brand new blankets in plastic wrappers which he refused to give me. I understand it is you allâ€˜s busiest season but a heads up before pick up would have been much appreciated. Even though the entire experience was generally pretty good this will be the story told going forward. It would be nice if your company did something to change the narrative. Only issue I had was that the fuel gauge reading on my checkout form did not agree with the actual reading. I was told to take a picture of the dashboard before leaving and it would be resolved when I brought the vehicle back which it was.JERROLD M.

Was charged 37 $for gas! I was given the Truck with a 1/4 tank and returned it with over a 1/4 tank. When I got the email receipt they clamed it only had 1/8 of a tank. I have a photo proving what level I returned it at to prove itJohn H.
I showed up on time and checked in online, but it took me an hour to get my truck. There was only three people ahead of me in line and there seemed to be a lot of confusion finding the available truck/where it was in the lot. I also reserved the truck for six hours and the hour it took me to get the truck was still counted as part of the time I reserved it for. Overall it seemed disorganized- there was a new employee getting trained, but it seemed to take much longer than necessary to get things done. I will use this store again, but only out of ease due to physical location.Reed J.

I reserved a 15' truck on U-Haul website; when picking up, I offered to accept a smaller truck as my needs had changed; I was given options for a 10' truck and 9' cargo van but declined, and the truck I was given was nowhere near 15' - a sticker inside listed it as a 14' truck, but no interior dimension was anywhere close to 14' - longest interior dimension listed was 141' (i.e., not even 12') - so in general it felt like quite a ripoff (but not quite worth haggling for a 10 $credit.) Also the truck was in fairly poor condition - quite a bit of play in the steering (which made for a harrowing experience on narrow city streets), and very dirty inside and out. Also, the phone number listed by Google is apparently not the phone number for the rental office, but rather for an associated towing business... just a generally poor experience overall; would not recommend.Andrew W.

The owner of this location went up and beyond to ensure that I got the appropriate truck. However, I was extremely disappointed in the communication and coordination of equipment as I showed up, was rented the wrong truck, had to take it back, and upon arrival there was no other available equipment. We had to drive to 2 different locations to finally get the truck I had reserved and delayed my out of state moving process by 4 hours.Rachel M.

The operators are incredibly dishonest. They altered the mileage numbers on both ends of the contract and falsified the time I returned the vehicle so they could charge for and extra day. Dear U-Haul, I respectfully suggest that you put eyes on this location. The tank was absolutely empty on the truck when I picked it up. That said, the contract indicated that the truck had a quarter tank. I was told by the location manger to "listen closely, because I'm only going to say this once" " I will return 45 $dollars to you if you bring the truck back with a quarter of a tank". I did return the truck with a quarter of a tank and I have the receipts and milage to prove it (The receipt from the location indicates that I brought the truck back nearly empty. This is not true. Gas reciepts and milage used will show what is true). The receipt from the locations show no gas. The actions of this location and it's manager are not at all in keeping with my past experiences with U-Haul. Please follow up on this for me (by crediting the gas credit of one qaurter tank back to my card) so that I do not have to spend my time making this right. Thank you in advance for your help. The truck smelled of cigarette smoke, bad enough that I was worried about contaminating the items I was moving. Some sort of oil or wax was applied to the mat in the cargo bed, making the floor very slippery and dangerous.Christian H.
