Claimed we did not fill the gas tank to the correct place on gas meter. Attempted to charge us for this. Had to show pictures for this to be resolved.

CARTER UThe store did not have our truck ready for pick up before they opened even though we requested it. There was only one person in the store so they had to work on checking people out and signing me up. There were not enough mats for moving. I ordered 2 dozen and got 18. At one point the employee had to leave to find more mats and I was the only person in the store. I had a pickup time for before they opened, but ended up taking like 2 hours to get the paper work done and almost missed our movers start time because it took so long. The only thing I will say that is positive the truck itself was well-maintained.
Anson BPickup location was 70 miles away from the location I selected when I made the reservation over 2 weeks ago.

jason bno one there offered to check the vehicle when i returned it. was told someone would check it the next day. i took the time to leave a list vehicle needs for safety. i called the next day to make sure i was finished with everything- the person i spoke with,at that time could have cared less that i wrote a list of vehicle repairs needed. another horrible experience from a very sub standard rental company.

MICHAELLEE NThe truck we had broke down. The guy came put 2 tires on the front but the vreak hub is broken. We sat on the top of a very steep mountain foe bear 4 hours waiting for someone to repair the truck. After the gut put the tires on we couldn't drive over 20 miles an hour with out being thrown off the road. It is making a very loud noise and burning smell. Also the lights barley work on the trailor there is a short. I have videos of all of this. We also took the time to was the truck if the mud and dirt from being stuck and throw. Off the road. Please make this right some how. We had to leave the truck run due to it being w5 degrees and stuck on a mountain. This in turn cost us near $100 in gas to fill it back up. All because of being broke down.
Jessica HI live in Patric county va and have previously used Uhaul services from mt airy because of being closer. I since have became aware of the availability of a local location although slightly farther after my recent experience I will continue uhaul of w and w Patrick county. Awesome owner and sale An courteously and informative super kind and knowledgeable. Mt airy did a fine job as well but Mr Agee of Patrick county will my go to from now on. Definitely recommend.
lucian gTruck was parked in a grassy area and was stuck. We were unable to drive it out. Waited 1 hour for someone to come and use a chain to pull the truck out of the area. There was another truck in the lot on pavement, but the owner told us it would take too much time to switch rental vehicles. He was not at the location, talked to me by phone. The truck was out of alignment, or something was wrong with the chassis. The vibration was so bad there was damaged some of the items in the truck from friction on the secure straps. We did have moving blankets padding the items. Never had this problem in the past

james jTrailer was in poor condition. The tag was expired (Jan 2022) Did not see it until trailer was loaded. . Most tiedowns were broken or missing Bolt missing that holds the right finder up..

Michael JFix your computer system making One Way and Local reservations on a single piece of equipment. I understandyou wantthem to be moved around; yet, the inability caused me muktiple problems and enough grief to turn it in after 2 days vice 5 seeing Hertz rental instead. I would be glad to go into detail if you want to reach out to me.
Daniel BAgent doesn't keep regular hours. He will make the appointment but you can't pick up early.
Gary EMain flaw was the helpers recommended by U-Haul (Apex) were no-shows. No one bothered to call to let us know what was going on. WE had to track down the company and only told they were shorthanded. It made unloading extremely difficult. Waiting for my refund on this order.

Larry CHuge rip off - will never use again. Charged me $345 to deliver the U Box 3 days late & then want to change me another $200 to deliver to where it was originally supposed to go. I could have easily paid a moving company for the ridiculous price they charged me. And still waiting on my stuff to arrive.. Will NEVER EVER use any U Haul product again.

Chris SI could not believe the price. $147 for just 7 hours of use. Plus $38 for gas. I rented one about five years ago and it was no where near this price.

GARY MNo one was available to help with pick up. Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come meet me to pick up vehicle, even though called in advance. Dirty masks in van. Had to wait again for someone when I dropped off the van. This location is a convenience store. If owner can't be on premises, he should train an employee who is there to do check outs and returns. Second time I rented from this site - same experience both times. Will look for other carrier the next time I need a moving van.

Robert lThis location was very good. As my previous location left me without a uhaul and wouldn't answer my calls to get help. We drove over 30 miles out of our way to pick up this uhaul. The rep at this location was more than helpful making sure that they were able to help after our previous left down. I have filed a formal complaint about the previous location.
Annie NTruck had a flat tire when I came to pick it up. The staff at this location were amazing, but uhaul itself provided terrible customer service over the phone. I waited 4 hours to pick up a new truck that didn't have a flat tire.
Natayla GThe truck itself appeared to have an issue with the front end alignment as it tended to wander and required constant correction. Probably a result of the alignment was the steering wheel was not centered. This is not something that would be noticed in normal servicing, so don't blame the Stuart location. I needed to be driven at interstate speeds for an extended period to really notice it. I did notify the Bangor site when I dropped the truck off. Other than that, the equipment was very well maintained, both the truck and the auto transport.
WILLIAM BThis has nothing to do with either location. Both were fine HOWEVER! My original pickup location was Florence AL but nobody showed up for work! After having to deal with long wait times I finally got through to CS and got a new location FURTHER away from where I needed the truck. All this put me way behind schedule and after all that, I get charged more for dropping the truck off at Stuart VA even though when I picked the truck up it was noted I was unsure where I would return it. I have used Uhaul many times. This was not up to standard.
Alfred AThis was the most dismal experience I've ever had moving. Communication was nonexistent. My box was over one month late arriving to me. It took me days to track down an actual phone number for a real human, and I ended up calling that number almost 20 times. My box was "lost" in shipment and they were attempting to track it down. It was the owner of the storage facility/gas station where my box got dropped off (that nobody could seem to "track down") who called me to let me know it had been sitting there for weeks. He drove it out to me from over 2hrs away himself. If it weren't for him I have no idea if I would have seen my stuff again. I was eventually refunded my money after calling and emailing repeatedly about it. I was charged a $75 storage fee after the empty box was picked up that I can't get anyone to respond to me about. At this point the office I call (the only number I was ever able to obtain) knows my number and is most likely avoiding me. I would rather haul my belongins by oxen and a wagon than use U-Haul for anything ever again. Worst customer service winner.
