I had an unfortunate experience with Uhaul. I booked a pick up and drop off location online and secured it. When I went to return my truck, gassed up and under mileage, the place said they no longer accept Uhauls. So not only did I have to be inconvenienced and keep my Uhaul an extra day, I called to rectify the situation and I was given a number to my scheduling manager which I called more than 5x and left voicemails and never was called back. So after waiting for 20 minutes to talk to someone on the Uhaul line, I was finally rerouted to drop off.PETER G.

THERE SHOULD BE A SIGN ON THE FRONT DOOR TELLING CUSTOMERS WHERE THE ENTRANCE IS LOCATED. THE PERSON AT THE DESK WAS MAKING A LOT OF MISTAKES AT THE COMPUTER INCLUDING GIVING MY RESERVATION TO SOMEONE ELSE AND HAVING TO CORRECT THE BILL BECAUSE HE ENTERED THE WRONG AMOUNT. I ALSO WAS DELAYED 45 MINUTES BECAUSE OF ALL OF THIS.dave W.

Corporate u-haul system was difficult to deal with, making unwanted changes, causing long delays at the agents to get the rental corrected.Allison D.
This drop off location was much farther away from my destination than the last time I rented from you, but I was not given the option to use that closer location this time even though it is an active U-Haul location. This was much less convenient. Last time I had to travel several miles to pick up my truck, and this time I had to travel further to drop it off!DONALD L.

First, I had booked for a closer location but just days before pick-up the location changed to a place that was 20 miles away which drastically altered my tight time-line. Next. while the gentleman at the location was nice and very helpful, he had limited knowledge on the trailer that I rented. And finally, the truck was good and fit my needs perfectly the car trailer was not secure, the wheel tie-down ratchet was not fully secure and slipped off one wheel twice.Kevin C.

Being able to return the equipment after hours, and have confirmed return through a smartphone, was a nice thing. However, adding an option for a discounted multi-day rental on equipment that is for local use (to be returned to the pick-up location) would have been nice. First I ordered from a local store only to be directed to a store 20 miles from my house to pick up the equipment. This had a negative effect on my timeline and delayed my planned departure by several hours. The gentleman at the store was friendly and helpful but some limitations on his knowledge of the equipment.Kevin C.
I would just forewarn customers to hold onto the key when doing after hours drop until you've completed the online return. I put the key in the box not realizing there would be requests for photos of mileage, etc, and was in a bind because I already dropped the key in. Overall U-Haul does not hold any reservation nearest your location. Be prepared to drive further and pay an additional 1 $per mile to pick up your U-Haul trailer or truck for moving I gave them a credit card for reservation to hold my date to find out that my vehicle for moving was an additional 20 mi away.!!!. I will be aware of this next time to get budget or Rider for my next move.....Warren H.
not sure if applicable, but the adaptor from round to 4 in a line was not available - I'm not sure if they usually are, and the guy working the desk was very helpful in sending me out to get one, and only 5 minutes each way, but maybe a heads up online or over the phone would be do-able? And to counter-balance this mild irk - we had changed our reservation from a 5x8 trailer to a 6x12 less than 24 hours before we were due to pick it up, and though we did have to travel further to pick it up, our move would not have fit in the smaller trailer, so Big Ups on that aspect to the whole team involved. I don't want to have to photograph my driver's license. I don't want to have to scan in pics when I return the vehicle. That is the clerk's job!! My job is to turn in the key on time. Done! The Uhaul website is trying to automate the clerks out of existence, which is just plain ridiculous. Whatever happened to customer service? Also bought the CDW but guess what, it does not include the vehicle roof. The C in CDW should be changed to "if we feel like covering it."Valerie M.

upon dropping off we choose to just receive an email receipt. we just received the email and we were charged for 3gals of gas. when we filled up we made sure we put 20gals of gas because it said to est. 18,5gal. I would not recommend just dropping off the truck. make sure to stay an discuss final bill!!Michael R.

Please ensure that the reps advise customers that if they return the vehicle after hours that there will be a 20 $service fee imposed. I wasn't told that and was disappointed to find the charge on my bill. I called 1800GOUHAUL and was able to get the charge reversed, but was not pleased about the fee in the first place.frank C.
