Hi, truck was soiled, they must have used your truck for drywall and lumber, l was supposed to have emailed receipt, when truck was returned same day, 24 hours later no email received. Mileage over charged me, they supposed supposed to charged me 1,49 per mile they charged me 1,75 per mile. I been UhAul customer for 0ver 10 years, you need to call me been over charged.

The location charged my credit card another $71 for "a fuel service charge". Of $30 and $15 for gas for driving exactly 3 kms.

Passenger rear view mirror was broken Back of uhaul was dirty and had old Tupperware left behind Did not receive the truck size I booked Did not receive the rate I booked The dolly from back of truck was missing Picking up truck took an additional 35 minutes because they couldn't find the key I've rented 3 other uhauls in past two years and this was by far the worst.

24/7 pickup didn't work (uhaul website's fault, not location). Had to go in and wait for single staff member to deal with other vehicle renters; arrived at 9:20 for 9:30 pickup but wasn't on my way with keys until 9:50. Barely beat my movers home for 10.

Your rideshare 24/7 program or whatever it is called is an absolute nightmare. The app wouldn't admit I was at my trucks location while I was sitting on it's bumper, it took forever to get my ID approved, the keys weren't where they were supposed to be. After 40 minutes and 2 calls to customer service the location opened and I got in person service in 1 minute. I'm warning people about this.

First of all we went to pick up the truck at the location I was told. BUT NO TRUCK THERE. We had to travel to a new location. Where the truck was. We notice that the truck was on empty. I would appreciate a call. Merci

Clerk was fine but not very helpful. He's a 7-11 clerk, not a car rental clerk. But at least he was where he was supposed to be. However, despite the promise for a call to discuss the credit for the inferior dolly, nobody called. I was not surprised. Should I be, really. Hopefully I don't have to move anytime soon but for sure it will NOT be with U-Haul. Never again.

I'm not the one to usually complain but your customer service there was horrible !!! There was no dolly that I had reserved. He would not let me park my car on site because there was a football game going on and he needed the parking spots to sell to potential clients, I had to go pay for parking somewhere else for my car. I got the truck with less then a quarter tank, I returned it the same way, he had no time to check the truck while I was there and charged me for fuel. (not Happy at all about this) Once I get back to return the truck he said I couldn't park it from exactly where i picked it up because I would block in his football clients and there was no parking on site!!!!!! I have always used Uhaul and I expect some compensation if not a full refund for such horrible service . Thank you, Andres Castro

The app didn't work kept going black. Tried 3 times had to call customer service In the end went in did check in with employee. Wasted 45 mins trying to get the keys and added time from 4 hour to 5 hour rental.

Location seems a bit odd to pick up a Uhaul, otherwise with a phone and data plan I suppose the prerequisite checks can be done anywhere. Just out of place. Would have preferred a true Uhaul location.

I never received a final summary of my order. You people tried to pull a fast one and sent me images of another truck. I will be reporting this to the BBB and leaving appropriate reviews so other people know to check their hardware diligently. You are consistently by far the worst company to deal with and the moment there is a better option in my area you will never see a cent of my money. I strongly suggest someone do something before it's too late.

Must have a Debit visa/mastercard payment machine. Went to 2 different places and wasn't excepted or didn't have one. Had a previous cargo van rental in Scarborough Ontario and a debit Visa was accepted. All Uhaul rental places should be the same to accept payments.

Last Saturday I first went to 1254 Main St E, only 3 blocks to rent the van that was there. The clerk said I had to do it on-line. I checked Uhaul's web site. It the store was closed on Saturdays, so I could not rent the van. The next closest outlet was 890 Barton St from which I rented the van. The first store lost business and I lost time because Uhaul's web info is WRONG.

The process takes time and multiple people entering the store are being served while you're also being saved.I booked at another location when i got there there were no vehicles and was told to go to another location which is this one 890 Barton. I had poor experience i didn't expect that from Uhaul

The driver side window was left open and the drivers seat was soaking wet. There was garbage in the cab area and in the rear compartment. I booked a 10 foot truck specifically because of the area I was going into and they tried to give me a 15 foot truck. I had to argue the point for several minutes, explaining a 15 foot truck was of no use to me. Over all a very poor experience. As well if you book a certain vehicle and your website confirms that booking for you, do not then change the size of the vehicle without informing the customer and asking if this is acceptable

I rented in Oct 2022 and was charged an after-hour fee and a cleaning fee. After-hour fee was not communicated prior to me, and the cleaning fee was not as a result of my doing - it was the company's problem for not locking the doors and it was used as someone's drug spot for getting high .... the Uhaul office was in a very sketchy spot.

The equipment I reserved - and paid for - was not available. I filled out a "dispute" when finishing my reservation and have since followed up with U-Haul twice, and gotten no response whatsoever.

Explain the fueling requirements up-front since there was less than half a tank of fuel (which was fine with me). And if I knew the mileage, then it would have been easier to figure out how much gas to put in. I think I put in more than I needed to. I'll go back there again since there was no hassle picking up the truck or dropping it off and the prices are fair.

I had a horrible experience. I've been using uhaul for decades. First time I was sent to a convenience store to pick up my truck. Was given a different quote. The person there did not know what they were doing. I was no given a contract. Took him over 40 min. Did not come out to truck to check gas or mileage. Among other things. I definitely won't go through that again.

Guy in convince store was unhelpful did not place key in lock box on exterior of building prior to my arrival though I had scheduled an online pick up. When I told him there was NO keys he proceeded to ask me if the box was open more then one time to which I replied "yes there are no keys in the box" he then proceeded to place a phone call and ignore the uhaul agent I had called while we was being difficult. And then found the keys behind the desk after making me wait for several minutes. It delayed my trip and was very unprofessional of the location. I absolutely would not rent a uhaul from a convenience store again. I was very unsatisfied.

The clerk was unable to check us in. We were unable to check in on the mobile site. We had to wait half an hour for another employee to come. They then expected us to still have the truck back at the same time even though they got us the truck more than half an hour late. They extended the time when asked. They forgot to give us the moving blankets we paid for so I had to come back.

Hello, I did not receive the vehicle I requested (even thought the order was placed a number of days in advance), which made the move very diffecult. The staff at the pickup location was not helpful, and even threatened to not give me a vehicle at all! Also, I don't know why I was charged an additional $20 above the rental rate. Most of my experiences with U-Haul rentals have been flawless, but this was the worst experience I've ever had and I will never do a pickup from that location again. Merci

I was surprised to find that Uhaul has set up truck pick-up and drop locations at convenient locations that are not Uhaul depots. That reduced my mileage and saved me money. Truck was there, it was clean and in perfect running order. Very happy!

Read the gas gauge properly. It was off when I rented so I uploaded a photo of the correct position. I filled the tank to that position when I returned it and still got charged a fuel charge. I really hate UHaul. There is always a problem.

this location is in a "sketchy" part of town with lots of "crack heads". We had a problem and had to be in store for about 30 minutes and we were uncomfortable at times. The clerk at the store was most helpful though.

Stop calling customers and scaring them by saying you are late returning the UHaul by 2 hours from return time as per the contract and you'll be charged an extra $50 every half an hour and if that exceed few more hours then the uhaul will be identified using GPS and will dump the stuff inside and will be towed unless if you return the truck in next few hours. Thought the controls doesn't say anything as such.

Initial problem was uhaul changed my pickup location to somewhere much less convenient. I decided to deal with it as I needed a truck. I had to use the mobile check in to get the truck. This b was okay, but time consuming compared to just dreaming with a person. When I finally was able to receive the keys from the lock box, they weren't for the truck I was supposed to take. They weren't for any truck that was on-site. I tried calling uhaul while my wife spoke to the staff at the store. We eventually received keys for the correct truck. It took about 55 minutes to be able to get the truck. This is not convenient when moving from an apartment where we can only have the elevator on service for a specific time. There was also garbage in the truck, though that was the least of my day's concerns. When we arrived at the apartment to start loading, the 2 dollies which had been included in the rental were not in the truck. We spent over an hour on the phone with U-Haul, add were not able to get dollies, despite them being part of the initial order. When I returned the truck I stated that we did not recieve dollies, and was told I would not be cha When I received my bill, I was not charged for the dollies. However, I was charged a $30 free to fill the truck, despite putting gas in the truck before I returned it. I was also charged $186 for gas to fill the truck. I only drove 17m or 30km, but was charged for 86L in gas, presumably to fill the truck. The truck has less than a quarter tank of gas when I picked it up, and I returned it with the same amount. I'm sure it's not even possible to use 86L in 30km. For what it's worth, the staff in the store were friendly and helpful. However, that doesn't relieve all the frustration I had to deal with today, and expect to have to continue to deal with in order to dispute the completely unreasonable fuel charge.

The owner of store is disrespectful, rude, unprofessional and I will never rent from him again He hung up on me and was very rude the second time I called. As well the lot is full of ice and I fell when I brought the truck back. I can hardly walk. His employe that I rented the truck gave excellent service, to bad the owner is a ignorant person.

I wasn't fully inform about the refilling of the gas tank, and I'm out forty dollars because of that . I pick up the the truck and tank was only 3/4 full . So when refilling it I was unaware of how much the truck would take to put back to 3/4 of a tank and over spent, spending 80 dollars instead of 40 dollars . The Tank should be full at pick up not 3/4 of a tank . However the store is located in a bad part of Hamilton and cashier had his hands full with looneys and drug addicts . Either completely fill the tank for pick up, or give rebaits to those that over spend, After all you got 40 dollars of gas from me for free . Take care, be safe .

It was not my problem there was a tiger cats game and they use the parking lot to charge for parking they made me drive around town to drop off the truck somewhere else then when I needed money back the guy where I dropped the truck had no clue what I was talking about so we had to drive back to the original store and they were to busy to deal with me I finally had to come back 24 hours later and someone finally gave me the money that was owed to me. No customer service skills whatsoever

Took over 45 minutes to pickup the truck. I was told I could bring it back at 5:30pm or anytime after that night no problem. Then I got a bill for after hours drop off, an extra days charge plus the coverages. I was never told it would have these Extra charges the guy had no idea what he was doing and literally was taking photos of the screen and messaging his boss the photos asking how to do everything on the screen. Now it cost me over $200 to rent a truck I only needed for one day I wanted a one way drop off in Niagara from Hamilton and had to drive back to Hamilton. What a total rip off and terrible handling from the location employee. He kept saying he didn't know how to do anything and I can tell it was at my expense and his gain. Will never rent a uhaul again.

The truck we received was filled with cockroaches! We had to take it back to the dealer and replace with another truck. We then came to return the truck by 3:45 and we're told we could not get our deposit back unless we came back the next day. Poor experience!
