Melanie S.the wires for the lighting had been patched with electrical tape. there was a weak connection and although the lights worked they flickered and I was stopped by highway patrol. Luckily just received a warning.

Plenty of space to drive in and park, and the return box was very obvious and well-lit with clear instructions. I'm so glad everything went well and there were no hiccups. (I'm also quite glad we can return the trucks to different places.)

James D.When you call the U-Haul to place a U-Haul the guy doesn't even answer the phone in a professional manner he says what up and then after we left there and said we were all good to go we had new charges added to our account as we stood there and looked around the store and made sure everything was in place in an order and asked me if everything was fine and if we owed any more money and he kept telling us no we were all good and then when we left my debit card was charged more money when I called to ask him about it he said he didn't understand while it charged me this and that and that to call the U-Haul customer service the next morning $10 was returned back to my card but I was never agreed to pay the other $10 that was added to my debit card when the original payment was $44 it ended up being 54 I don't know if he is scamming people or what but is in my experience that place is not a very good place to rent a U-Haul

Aaron P.Be honest with them about dropping off. I was told that if we weee a couple hours late it wouldn't be a problem. I was charged an extra days rental by the drop off location. Wasn't told they were doing it either. Just showed up.

larry S.I received the truck with only a quarter tank of gas. Despite returning the truck with more gas than I received it I had to eat that cost.. The interior was filthy. The app was a joke. It wouldn't allow me to upload all the photos of the damage and mess that was already on the truck when I got it. I then had to play hell getting a hold of customer service to find out where I could send the extra photos so I wouldn't be charged for something I didn't do. When attempting to return the truck through the app it took multiple attempts to get the site to upload the picture of the odometer. It definitely is not user friendly. I will not be using uhaul ever again.

Kristina P.The Peculiar location was great to work with. Just wish they opened up earlier. Didn't have very good luck using the Uhaul app. I had to rent from another town because the Uhaul dealer in our town had another excuse why he couldn't rent. A few weeks ago he cancelled my reservation FOUR days before a snow storm. If you're going to advertise certain hours of operation, you should stick to it. Otherwise close up.
Chad B.This was awful. Since the rental place did not open at a convenient time, I asked the clerk if I could pick up the truck and keys the day before. I was assured the process was as easy as waiting for a code that would be sent to my email. I simply had to show up, use the code to access the key, and drive off. What a joke! No email. Ended up calling uhaul at the appointed pickup time and got absolutely NO assistance. Drove away after 90 minutes of asking uhaul for help. Eventually had to reschedule a pickup time the next morning. Even this took over 40 minutes to FINALLY get the key. Most of this frustration was due to the clerk not processing my paperwork and giving me the code to the keybox the day I talked to him face to face. Apparently he was too clueless. To top off a bad experience he charged me for a heavy duty dolly but put a lite duty one in the truck. The Peculiar MO location is louseyâ€"as is the uhaul website and phone app!
Tim T.Training doesn't work for everybody. Some are incapable of learning and it shows. Both times I was in the store, I had to wait for the guy to put his shoes on. Potential isn't something this guy possesses.
JOSHUA D.This unit was way past its shelf life as we had the unfortunate luck to find out. Had a flat tire 3 hours out on our trip, and had to stop 2 hours later to fix the door latch that was about to come apart. Had we not noticed the problem the door could have swung open and exposed the contents to falling out and being damaged or damaging someone else on the road.
Thomas P.When doing the pre inspection of the vehicle....if you find something wrong with it, take pictures of the vehicle damage with the business in the background. I had an issue when I dropped off the vehicle at another location. It was resolved but it took close to an hour to do so.

We were running late & tired & weren't able to finalize the return via the app. I didn't know we had to stay 15 more & was already back home late that night before I realized I needed to take all those pictures. By then we already had the keys in the drop box.
