I reserved my truck Sept 21st to be picked it up on Oct 30th, it was over a month prior to the moving date. On Oct 29th, less than 24h before my move, I got an email from uhaul saying that I had no truck available at the location I chose over a month ago and had to travel almost 50km to get the closest available truck, which was not even the one I had reserved, they offered me a bigger truck. It was extremely frustrating for me, on top of everything else I had to deal with at that day, you know moving days are very stressful and uhaul made it even worse. I wish uhaul had taken my reservation more seriously, and to make up for it, I wish uhaul had not charged me for any of it.

The gas estimation that was supposed to help me refill to the same level as when I picked the truck up was wrong. The you haul paper work had a recommended refill amount and by following it I over paid by about 20 $. Feels unfair.

We picked up the truck Oct 25 and told him our location drop off changed from liverpool to cold brook. The 27th, I called to say I would be keeping truck til 29. When we dropped it of at kentville, it was chaos. We paid over 500 to drive from windsor ns to coldbrook ns. Not happy

I had a reservation I made online, no issues. I got to the location and at the last moment the system issued an “e-alert” and refused to allow the sales girl to rent to me. I spent 15 mins on hold calling the head office, and was connected to an extremely rude and demeaning lady who told me apparently there was an outstanding amount from 2 years ago that needed to be paid before I could rent anything. Thing is, I've rented several times since then and have never had issue, never heard about any outstanding balance. The agent told me something about the rental agent falsifying my drivers license to rent to me - again I don't understand that, I certainly never gave permission for that. My 25 $rental ended up costing almost 100 $for 4 hours as I had no choice but to pay this apparent outstanding fee that I had no proof of and the agency that rented it to me was closed. This wasn't the locations fault at all, it is entirely u-Haul office trying to money grab and accuse me of providing false information. Beware! It likely won't be as inexpensive as you think.

Vehicle was OK clean but maintenance was very bad, Speedo is off by 20 miles almost really hard on fuel manifolds leakings, Wheel not balanced , Rear brake fluid So low that the light will come on anytime he took a corner

I drove for 1 hour and 30 minutes to pick up the rental. You could try and have more stock at more locations so we don't have to drive so far for pick up . There was only one person working the gas station and he was working the rentals as well

I wasn't told about going to a website before returning the keys. I dropped the keys in the box and then went to the website but had locked the truck so I couldn't document the odometer.

This was the worst experience we've ever had with uhaul. From picking the unit up to dropping it off, it was nothing but issues and long wait times with no one really knowing the answers. Will be hesitant to use this service in future.

Be able to reach you by phone. I called a number of times and always got a fax machine. I had to go directly to your place of business to order a vehicle. Other than that everything was excellent..

THE FIRST TRANSPORTER THAT I WAS ISSUED WAS NOT MAINTAINED AND I HAD TO RETURN IT FOR ANOTHER. THE TIRE TIE DOWN WAS SO WRAPPED UP IN THE RACHET THAT IT WOULD HAVE HAD TO BEEN CUT FREE.

The location and the staff were great. But u-haul change my pick up location. So I had to drive 1/2 an hour out of my way to pick up and drop off. Wasting my time and gas. With no discount to help off set the added expense. Also the computer system could not process the order the lady working tried 3 times. She had to call in and have the do it over the phone. This cost me over an hour of waiting.

This location was great! However when we dropped off the trailer, the Dartmouth location had given us a different trailer then what was on our contract. This caused a time consuming drop off, thankfully the personnel was very helpful!

I have been charged twice for the same truck on my credit card, I am super irate because of this. I want this fixed now.

vehicles need to be serviced by a technician. had no washer fluid, power steering and brake fluids were low, and fuek was only at 1/4 of a tank when we picked it up. trucks should be full of fuel, fluids topped up and general maintenance checked. rental agent was very helpful. the vehicle was clean but not mechanically ready by any means.

The Windsor location was great, but I called and asked to be directed to the nearest auto transport. Your dispatch center sent me to Green St in Halifax first which is 40 minutes plus away from my house (Windsor is 25). Upon arrival there, the trailer had a broken bolt in brake mechanism and he tryed to talk me into fixing it with a random bolt he had that would not work anyway. They were in capable of booking me a replacement until I took the phone and spook to the uhaul staff member on the line and made my arrangements for the closer unit in Windsor. So Green St gets a huge thumbs down! As well so does your location servic, wasted huge amounts of my time.

It is difficult for uhaul to juggle things around with the high demand for vehicles , the start to my request did not go wellI requested a 15 ft trailer and two days before pickup I was told it it would be a 27 ft. This put me in a bad position until the last uhaul employee took the reigns she went into action immediately after realizing a 27 ft would block the main road into a university town. She was efficient and the following day which was the day before moving she found one in an area which was close by. I commend her for this. All went smooth the driver was overly pleased with how it drove.

The only issue was that the information given at this location did not correlate with the information at the drop off location. We were told our deposit would be given back in cash and appartently that is not the case.

I didn't get the furniture pads, but it looked like I wasn't billed for them. I'm not sure what happened there, if I didn't actually select the option or not. It would also be helpful if I could select my drop off location when I make my reservation.

The person working at the gas station was trying to pump the full service gas, process the payments for self-service gas and in-store purchases, and take us to the back office to complete paperwork all at the same time. We had to wait while he served customers. There's no way he's getting paid enough for all he had to do. When they know they have UHaul customers coming to pick up vehicles, there should be a staff person dedicated to that. We also didn't do a walkaround of the vehicle before signing the paperwork, mostly because that staff person had too many other tasks to do. The truck I rented had pre-existing aesthetic and structural damage. It was noted on the keychain paper and no one tried to claim I had done it, but it made the truck even less water-resistant than it would normally be. I was not warned about this ahead of time, received no discount for it, and it was not pointed out to me when I did the paperwork. I only noticed it noted on the keychain paper after, and only noticed the wheel weld aesthetic damage while we were using the truck. This might have been noted if we'd done a walkaround with the employee before leaving like I've done at other locations in the past. I am very glad that there is a rental location in Windsor because when I first moved to the area I had to rent a truck from Kentville which is much further away and less convenient, and I'm glad to not have to drive into HRM for one. Still, there are ways this location could be improved. Merci.

the truck was older, approx 10 yrs old. It worked well but we ran into some rain on our travel and it leaked into the box. I noted on the contract that it said the driver was made aware of this when renting the truck however this is not the case and I was told by another u-haul employee that this is standard. In any event, nothing damaged. cab was dirty but not bad. Also, I had the truck back one day earl;y and accordingly was of the understanding there would be a rebate on the cost and if the back of the truck was clean, a further 25 dollar rebate. I was told upon dropping off the truck these are not correct. Why does it say so inside the box of the truck and told by empl.
