i called u-haul at 3pm 1/11 to confirm when drop off Wits was open until. I was told 5pm. They were closed when i got there at 4:20pm. i called UHaul rep, downloaded uhaul app to return the truck, but couldn’t use it because I didn’t receive the verification code via email for three hours. it was after 7:30pm when the email came thru. I was charged for extra fuel, even though i filled it to the exact spot on the fuel gauge that I received the truck with. I have pictures before and after of fuel gauge and odometer along with fuel receipt. And to make it worse, there was a Uhaul location within 3 miles of my NY address, but i was told to drive to Wits Garage, which was 30 MINUTES further from the closest UHaul return facility. if you’re interested, you can call me to discuss how many times the rental pick up location, time, and truck size changed before 1/11/2020.... which was somehow done without my call or request. Horrible experience, and it’s not over, because i have to now call someone to dispute a $7 fuel charge. really???? Jim Bertini Cell 203-819-1850

Super convenient pick-up and delivery using the app. I'd absolutely recommend renting a U-Haul from this location to anyone living in the area. Cannot think of anything to do to improve.

The trailer leaked. My items were wet. I escaped an issue by having towels on the floor for my furniture. But brand new floor mats had to be dried out. And furniture wiped off.

I only dropped my truck off here, and was not aware that it would be closed. I also didn't know that I had to check it out myself with a phone app. It all worked out in the end, because I emailed and called customer service when I returned it.

The cargo van was BASICALLY clean. I ordered 6 blankets, and when I picked up the van, they were in a pile in the cargo area. That's OK, however, most of them had numerous grease spots on them, and I could not use them since I was hauling upholstery furniture.

Have a separate area for customer cars indicated with signs. A little confusion between cars being worked on bs customer parking for rental. No designated parking area. Service was wonderful. Front desk girl was very very nice and helpful. The workers were very cooperative and friendly staff.

The owner of the pickup location was rude and annoyed that he had to stop what he was doing to get the car transport trailer I was picking up ready for me. I arrived on time and the trailer was still hooked up to a uhaul rental vehicle. The trailer itself was old and not well maintained. Based on this experience I would not rent from Uhaul again. I have been a loyal uhaul customer in the past but will seek a different rental company for my future needs.

I took the truck on Friday, April 12th at 4pm. Was told I needed to get it back by Sunday, at 3:30. I added another day, till Monday, Apirl 15th in case I could not get it back. I returned the van on Sunday at 5:15. When I called Uhaul on Friday, I was told if I brought it back on Sunday I would not be charged for Monday. I was charged anyway for the extra day. Uhaul told me one thing, and I was charged another.. will never use either Uhaul or Wits again.

this was the easiest and most pleasant experience that I've ever had with uhaul. I will rent any future trucks through this location. Everyone was really nice. When we told them what we needed to move they suggested that we use a dolly. We were very grateful for the advice because it would have been impossible to move without it. I will highly recommend the Wit's location to anyone that I know looking to rent a vehicle.

When I scheduled our pick up and drop off, it was made clear that we would be dropping off at this location. We had the rental beginning on Sunday, 1/27 and were told we had two days with the truck. We only needed the truck until Monday evening (1/28) - and promptly dropped the truck off when we were done. I put the key in the drop box and the truck was left around 8 pm on 1/28 at this location. I received an email yesterday (1/30) stating that the truck had not been returned yet and asked for details of my contract and where I dropped off. I promptly sent an email back stating the above information. I then got an email this morning with my receipt with a charge of $40 for having the truck for an extra day. I DID NOT have the truck an extra day - I only had it until Monday night. I have since replied to the customer service email attached to the receipt that was emailed and am hoping this will be resolved soon with no further issues. I have used UHaul several times, and have never had an issue with anything. I am very unsatisfied with my experience this time around. I've had to take time out of my day on two separate days in order to address something that shouldn't even be an issue. I will be thinking twice about using UHaul again next time I have moving truck needs.

The people who work there were great. The U-Haul check-in phone app, though, was confusing and I wasn't even sure if I checked in correctly. U-Haul needs to create a better app for autonomous check-ins.

The rating seems worse than the experience. The staff was good, checking the brake/parking/signal lights and showing me how/when to check the hitch, but the place seemed crowded with cars, trucks, trailers, etc. I want to note that on the trailer the major lights worked (brakes, rear parking, and turn signal), but there were two side lights that did not, the left front one and the right rear one.

Monthly I rent the cargo van and do the same amount of miles each month. However, this month the van used twice as much fuel than in all the previous months . Maybe something is wrong with the fuel gauge!

Easy to get to off of Route 9, as I was moving from Chelsea Ridge. It was tough to find a spot to park in the lot at Wits / I wasn’t sure where to park while running in to get the keys. The lady behind the desk didn’t seem to be in a good mood, but whatever, just picking up a rental truck I guess!

It was upsetting that I rented 2 vans for the same day. One under my name Marci Gray and one under my husbands Jose Medina. We made 2 trips from our apartment in fishkill to our new home in Southbury CT. The Uhaul place charged my husband for 50 more miles which was impossible since we both drove the same mileage. when I brought this up to them they did not agree and it is a flat out innacuracy because we followed each other back and forth all day so the mileage is the same.

I'm so upset we were charged an extra day, when we returned the truck less than 24 hours that we had. Now we have to go through the process of requesting our money back. This is a huge inconvenience and it's our money. Very disappointed at the end. Also, the drop off was crowded with other businesses in the lot. Didn't know where to park the truck and trailer.
