Trailer had a leak, we lost several boxes of items do to them being soaked. Location that we rented had no interest in hearing about the condition of the trailer. would not recommend using U-HAUL

Michael LPaid to rent a trailer, walked around to pick up trailer and it was smaller than I thought. Employee had to idea how to cancel my rental. Called into uhaul corporate and they couldn't get ahold of the rental location. Ended up paying for a trailer that I never used.
TODD KThe reservation was for 15' and I got a call Friday saying no 15' available and changed to 10'. Then they called beck again and changed it back to 15' because someone returned the 16'. It caused stress and I don't think the reservation should be contingent on someone else and no change should be made, your job is to meet the reservation requirement…
KATHLEEN SThe guy we dealt with at this location wasn't very friendly, didn't act like he knew how to do everything and didn't move with a sense of urgency for those of us who had people waiting for us. He even got rude with another customer who was waiting to get her U-Haul as well. I know some locations have the Nobel option where'd you can pick up the U-Haul earlier, this location doesn't let you do that and it's an inconvenience to have to wait till someone is willing to do their job when you are on a time frame and people waiting on you.
APRIL RMy wife did try to do pick up online, and she was on hold forever, and she never did get a hold of anyone so I went inside of gas station and was in and out in five minutes.

Tara RThey are honestly rude in this place. I paid online for moving items but they canceled the order online and made me pay again when I arrived to pick up. They did cancel so I will eventually get my money back in 3-5 business days. It made no sense at all. When I dropped back off they acted so irritated by the fact I checked it back in on the app but brought the keys to the desk. It was just overall an aggravating experience with them. I don't think I'd recommend them to anyone.

RICHARD KThey lied and told me to drop the keys off in a drop box so they could charge me an extra day and a late fee. The worker did not tell me that I could return the truck myself in the app. I was charged 150$+ for a 4 hour truck rental and 40 miles.
Alec RThey charged me for two days even though I only rented it for 4 hours returned it less than 3 hours later. The girl at the counter said she didn't know how to process a return and to do it in the app. Tried to do it in the app and it was not responding. Called the next morning the guy told me call back in two hours it wasn't a good time to talk very rude man. Messaged U-Haul they said they had a problem with the whole system and couldn't help me. The local shop made up a fake time of return of 5:00am when I returned the truck at 6:54 pm the night before. Had to contact a lawyer.

Larry BOnly one employee to run the gas station and uhaul. Alot of waiting around. The truck we needed was parked behind a truck and trailer. He handed us the keys to move the truck. Then waited for ever for him to get a hand trailer to move the car trailer out of the way. This was supposed to be a 8am pickup but it wasn't sent up on the app so I had to wait until they opened at 10. Didn't leave until almost 10:45am or so. Then the mileage from Columbia City to Warsaw is wrong. Still now fixed. He told us if we go over the miles it was 0,17 cents if we used a card and 0,25 cents if we used cash. That was wrong it was $1.00. How can someone that rents uhauls have so much wrong info. It was more of a headache to deal with. I wouldn't recommend

Vernon CI tried to check out the truck online..failure! Not techy enough! A gentleman there helped me pick up and drop off the truck. My only concern is that it appears I ordered furniture mats and a dolly when making reservation online. I didn't realize I had. I did not receive them. But apparently I paid for the use. I'm not technical in the least.

jeffrey bCheck in was difficult and ended up having to call customer support because of a problem with my pick up location. Support was awesome!! Got everything sorted out quickly! Drop off was fair, big communication / language barrier. Thank You U-Haul, the truck was clean and well maintained. Will rent again!!
mike sTried renting through the app but wouldn't let me "check in". So I had to go inside and that took longer than expected. I was planning on paying $78 like it said on the app, NOPE, paid $101 ad some change. Then when I went to return it because I only needed it for a few hours, I was charged another $8.13. I asked him why and he told me it's their fee. I had to shut my card off because I'm afraid they are going to keep charging me like another company is when I'm not even using their service.
Shyla YWe had purchased boxes and were told the U-Haul would buy them back. This location will only pay you a flat amount per box. When I added up what we paid for the unused boxes and what the would pay me it was about a $50 difference. We are going to call a different location to see what their pricing is a used new boxes. I call 1-800 U-Haul and was told each location sets their prices on buying back boxes. This wasn't mentioned when we bought them ask about the buyback. We were told that the location we were dropping off at had no assistance to unhook the dolly. That was not a problem. There had been slushy snow that had frozen on there lot. It did not appear that there had been anything done to clean the lot or even put done any salt or sand. It was very slick and the frozen ice was very uneven. I nearly fell several times taking the blankets and 2 wheel cart into the location building.
Scott DTook way too long to pick up a trailer that was pre rented. Clerk seemed to not know what was going on and kept running off to check out other people as this was also a gas station and only one person working. 30+ minutes to pick up trailer and no help hooking it up.

Andrew STrailer worked well! Tires low on pressure when picked up. Tire straps are about due for replacement from uv exposure. One tail light out. Other than that worked perfectly and got job done flawlessly! Thank you for your service's
Brian IThe employee was rude when trailer was picked up in the Columbia City (CC) XPress Food Mart 2 located. He barely acknowledged that someone even came through the door. I also ordered 12 packing pads to rent and paid for them but they were never provided and my fiancee forgot to ask for them. I was still charged for the pad rental and am now left with dealing with getting a reimbursement for renting them, plus making sure I am not charged at the drop off location in Wayland since they were not in the trailer at drop off. Each pad is $6 a piece to replace x 12 = $72. I called the CC location 3x and no answer. Left a VM; no return call. Also, the employees at the U-Haul location in Wayland are also a bit ... unfriendly. They are helpful but in my experience of doing business there for 13+ years -- not super friendly. The two owners (mom and son) are a bit unapprocachable and have many rude comments to customers. They just are not friendly individuals. A few of my friends have said the same thing so it is not my imagination. Maybe a bit if a "superior" attitude.
Marty SMy pick up time for my rental was 4:45. I arrived earlier than my scheduled time so the vehicle inspection could be preformed. It was an hour later before I was able to leave with my rental due to it not being there for pick up. Not only that but the guy that assisted me was rude. He kept telling me I needed another form of payment because he couldn't run the card I placed on file for this reservation. I needed to use the restroom which he stated was closed which I later found out from the employee running the register that this was not true that they just didn't like people using their restroom. This is a public gas station pick up station!
CODY HI unhooked trailer where I was instructed and asked for receipt. Was told receipt was emailed to me. After a while I asked for a receipt again. Said he would print me one then said he could not. Asked him to email again. Did not receive. Said to come back sometime and maybe he could get a receipt. Told him to call uhaul to get me a receipt. He said he would not do it, so I called Uhaul direct . She promptly sent me a receipt and was courteous. Local dealer did represent uhaul very poorly and would not recommend to anyone.
Daryl RI went to pick up a 6x12 trailer. I was right in the middle of the rental process and the clerk decided to go help the 10 people needing cigarets and checked out. So i was there a half hour just to get it rented There was nobody there to help hook it up and the trailer number was not even on the lot. I also rented a utility dolly when I got it to where I was going I realized they had strapped 2 dollies together. When I took it back they charged me for the second dolly because of their laziness. Never ever would I rent something there again I'd drive to Ft Wayne first

steve bI make 2 trips to rent the truck in person but the person wasn't available, so I decided to do it online. The truck was clean and in great condition.
Anna WStore Clerk would not check our return in at first because he said he was too busy. Promised it would he checked in when he had the chance. Not cool because it would have been checked in late. Had to argue with him to do his job and check the truck in on time.

lary kThe guy I returned the truck to was lazy, hard to understand, seemed like I was annoying him, had no customer service experience, and was generally a dud. IF I rent from UHaul again, I will only deal with Corporate stores, not foreign owned, gas station type UHaul dealers.

Ethan MOn website says open until 6 p.m. but cashier told me nope they stop at 3 P.M. so guess you have some at a gas station just to do uhaul and they leave early Sundays
Jonathan GChange the brakes on the trucks more often and clean the inside the cab after every use. It was gross and sticky and had trash in it from previous users.

Kenneth SYes, I would recommend this place to someone if it was the closest location. I would just tell them to be prepared to do everything without assistance if it's cold. The employee wouldn't leave the building and were slightly rude.

MARY HI rented this trailer for 45 bucksish. 12x6 enclosed for 24 hours, dig? Dude never told me that there was an ongoing issue with the wiring harness or whatever but sure enough the unit's passenger side lighting system wasnt working, leaving me with no right turn signal or break light and unable to use the trailer for the majority of my 24 hour period and i called the District Manager to try to get a working trailer or at least a portion of my money back yet. Lucky i didn't get a ticket pulling thier janky trailer.

Jesse HUhaul was dirty and there is a panel in the back that is giving out and is a hazard. Luckily nobody got injured but there will be injuries from this panel likely in the future. Customer service was poor after the first Uhaul I reserved was not available and $50 credit was not applied
