We were charged an extra 2,000 because the original odometer wasn't accurate. Thank God a person was actually available to take a look at the truck and help us. Overall, TERRIBLE experience with Uhaul. Will absolutely not use again because the service was so terrible, there was no one to help us at the pick-up and we were charged incorrectly. The total cost should have been discounted given the terrible experience.

I originally reserved a cargo van to be picked up at W 230th St on the Bronx however I received a work change order and called your scheduling line. I was able to have the reservation changed to 1599 Lexington Ave which was located near to where I needed the van. I was informed and even the google maps stated it opens at 8AM. Upon my arrival at 8:05 AM I was informed that it does not open till 9AM. I called the scheduling office to inquire as to why I was not informed that the place would be open at 9 and they showed on their system that it is registered as 8AM. I was annoyed but I did agree to come back at 9AM however shortly after o hung up I received a text stating that my reservation was moved to another location that was much further away. I did not authorize that. I agreed to come back at 9 to the Lexington Ave location which again was much closer to where I needed the vehicle. I called scheduling back and the phone rang several times and then a woman answered. She informed me hat the call was diverted to New Jersey where she was. She tried connecting me with New York but again no answer. I was frustrated, running out of time and hung up. I called back and again it rang a long time until finally a woman answered again from New Jersey but luckily for me she took the initiative and rescheduled my reservation back to Lexington Ave. Her name is Amanda and she saved the day for for me

Put a sign in the window letting people know to come inside for UHaul. I saw all the trucks, but was not certain if it was located within or next to the gas station so I walked around a bit first before going inside.

I had an argument with the manager regarding the amount of gas required. I finally gave up and paid the extra $6, which was more than she said she would charge.

The 24/7 pickup never works. Despite having selected it and receiving emails informing me that it has been selected and that I will need a smart phone to pick up the keys, when it comes time to actually pick it up, it tells me "hand delivery" and to wait until the location opens the next morning. This is the second time this has happened. I will never use this again. If it weren't for a super helpful mechanic who was able to reopen the Uhaul office, I would have been completely screwed.

When booking, I requested a 9 foot cargo van. I even received a confirmation email. When I picked up my vehicle, I was given a 10 foot truck. I was told I could not have a van since it was a one way trip. A phone call or an email would in advance would have been greatly appreciated. I was very upset because I was not prepared to drive such a large truck. Not impressed.

Your verification and confirmation on my phone did NOT work and it took extra time for the clerk to process my paperwork. Needs to work out kinks on the process

The location was fine, the truck was messed up or the original location should be held responsible for writing the incorrect mileage down on the paper. These trucks, the first locations employees and the entire system being run were all unsatisfactory. The only person who was understanding was the employee at the drop off location and she worked diligently to solve my issue. I appreciate her work and if I returned to use this service, highly unlikely, it would only be because of her.

The problem was not with this location, but rather the one on W23 St. We were told on the phone, not 20 minutes earlier, that we could return the truck after hours by using the app. When we arrived, there was a sign on the front door advising that returns were not allowed after hours and that if the truck was left there, it would be ticketed and towed at our expense. We spent the next hour on the phone with various, unhelpful u-haul reps trying to send us to the "closest" open location in the Bronx, over an hour away. Finally, one agent sent us to the REAL closest one on E102ST. There, the only employee didnt speak English and we spent another half hour on the phone with tech support trying to get the app to work.
