The process of picking up the truck was great and the condition of the truck was great and clean. HOWEVER, when I went to return the truck to your Abercrombie, Pictou County location the customer service was THE WORST I HAVE EVERY ENCOUNTERED IN MY LIFE AND I AM 62 YEARS OF AGE. This person (man) did not speak when I entered the office. After standing there while he sat tying his boots, I had to ask to be waited on. I did that by asking if I needed a copy of my contract and he (without looking at me) said "wouldn't hurt". I then went to my vehicle and returned with my contract which showed the gas refill, which the nice lady had marked with a yellow highlighter. It showed a 1/4 of a tank, which was showing when I parked the truck in Abercrombie. After waiting another 5-6 minutes while the person was working on his computer "and by the way did not acknowledge me once again". I was the only person waiting to be waited on. There was a may sitting on a bench by the window. When we maid eye contact he just shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes. I then asked the person if he could check the truck so I could get on my way to work. He still did not speak - a few seconds later he picked up the truck key and a paper and proceeded to my rental truck. He returned shortly after and dropped the truck keys on the counter where I was standing and told me "you need to go and gas it up". this was the first bit of conversation. I told him it was only on a 1/4 tank when I picked it up like it is now and showed him my contract paper with the highlighted marking of a 1/4 tank. He said it needs fuel or we can do it for you and that will be $50.00 for the service and we put a minimum of $30.00 of fuel in it. I then said you've go to be kidding me. It is on a 1/4 of a tank and he said it was not. I then asked him where the nearest gas station was and he said "a light or two up the road". I left very upset to have to get perhaps $5.00 to bring it to the other side of the 1/4 tank mark. It was more than a couple of lights away. I had to go to the next town. I put $10.00 worth of gas in the truck and returned to the drop off location in Abercrombie where I had to start the waiting process all over again. At this point I feel he was punishing me for arguing with him. I had to ask him if he would go and check the truck as I was already an hour late for work because of his foolishness. He eventually when to check the fuel. While he was checking the fuel the man who was still sitting iby the window said, "I can't believe what I just witnessed that was such poor service". This man was waiting to have his car serviced and was not dealing with the same person I had to deal with. I then told him i only put $10.00 in the truck and drove to New Glasgow to get the gas. I said to him, "let's see what he has to say now" as I watched him returning to the office. He never said a word (again) just walked around the counter and printed a copy of my return

The rental pick up location was very thorough but the head reservation center took the reservation for a smaller truck (and I specifically asked if the pick up location carries that size (15 foot truck) and she assured me they do. I was offered a 26 foot truck the day before; too large for my moving needs and very challenging to navigate city streets. Reservation centre needs to do a better job being honest about the truck sizes located at the pick up location.

Cosy way to much and was not made aware that there was a mileage charge. My total said 29.95 plus the 15.00 insurance then surprise and extra 30 something mileage charge plus I put the gas to put it back to where it was. Will definitely make others aware of this sneaky fee. I rented from you guys 5 times before and never had this fee. A rip off

Love how you are only asking about pick up and drop off location, when u-haul's policies are the only thing I had an issue with. If I book a truck over a week in advance, you can't wait until the day before to call and tell me the truck I want isn't available and I can't pick it up at the time I asked. I got it sorted out after some arguing, but seriously set up your system so that people can't book a truck that's not available at a time and location the truck won't be at, or at the very least give them a lot of notice if there are changes.

All 4 of our trucks were horrible they had mechanical issues Our auto transporter had a bubble in one tire Could not open my doors on my vehicle as fenders were too high had to climb out window Because we had issues of trucks this was a 5 hr trip we did complain to customer service but no one wrote on file. This was a horrible nerve racking experience

Staff was friendly, but the debit machine didn’t work so I had to go to the bank to get cash, when I booked online it didn’t tell me I would need a deposit so that was a $100 surprise, and then the uhaul was covered in snow and Ice that I had to scrap off, so to be clear I gave you over $300 to to pick up a reservation that took be an hour to leave with, this through my whole schedule off and incovienced my moving crew

This dealer was exceptional, however my overall experience with U-haul was easily the worst experience I have had. I would not recommend dealing with U-haul other than with a dealer. I was VERY UNHAPPY with my corporate experience.

we happen to live in an area where the snow conditions aren't great so having said that it is beyond me why Uhaul doesn't supply SNOW TIRES. Not a safe situation !!

This place was not well maintained, very dirty, washroom was discusting, clutter everywhere. The fellow I dealt with was very pleasant and he got me everything I needed quickly and got me on my way.

The clerk had the wrong order kept me waiting for over half an hour and there was mud on the floor of the truck. Also the clerk did not know where the truck was located and sent me in the wrong direction. I spent $500.00 on the truck and the phone person told me moving blankets were available. There were only 3 in the store and he gave them to me for free after ice mplained. The parking lot was very muddie

Thoroughly check out equipment before leaving the property. We found out that the left signal on the trailer did not work. My son checked the wires and cleaned them in order for the signal light to work.

Returned in the evening. Very dark and hard to find correct address. GPS not helpful. Even though address correct, GPS led us to wrong address. Drop off location needs better lighting and/or better lighted signage.

They were friendly and seemed to know about rentals. But the contract said the fuel was at half and it was below half. The truck was dirty, food and mud on the floor and the wheel was sticky. When we asked to look it over as we always do for damage he said there was no need too. I explained that it was our responsibility for this truck and we looked it over anyway. Please Note: Uhaul's truck was dependable as always. That's why we rented it because we knew once we cleaned the truck we had the best company for moving. I always recommend Uhaul because it's the best.

Was happy with locations but not with booking. Plus I was unable to get to pick up in time and got a friend to get it for me. Which was fine mind you he had to give info over again which I had already told the girl on the phone. then he got charged $230 after I was quoted 74.99 plus tax. since they were then closed I continued to Cape Breton and went in after work to deal with bill screw up. After Agent was on phone trying to deal with the lady on other end I was finally informed it had been her problem and they couldn't put money back on card that a cheque would be in the mail to me in 3-4 weeks ??? Come on if I owe money you expect it right away but I get to wait 3-4 weeks ?? who pays the interest? I asked her this and was informed its me. Sadly the poor girl on the phone both days sounded like a 6 yr old girl .My Friend that picked the trailer up for me said the young fellow that checked him out was just a kid as well and seemed unsure of what he was doing On that note sadly I am very upset with my UHaul experience and cant see me wishing to use you again or recommending you to anyone unless I can deal with the gentleman in Bras Dor personally. Brett was his name and was very helpful with me and got right to finding out what had happened to my bill.

All was fantastic, from staff to equipment. The floor however was so oily with black like residue that our carpet now is ruined. I hope that shampooing it and especially the stairs to bedrooms will come clean. I have taken pictures of both truck and carpet. What I would do next? Well, that depends. Sincerely; Sam Karam.

The trailer I rented was clean, in good repair and worked exactly as expected. Two thumbs up for that. I did have an issue with connecting and disconnecting however. The tongue weight on the trailer was such that it was a bit of a strain to hook up and un hook. A tongue jack would have made all the difference in the world for this OLD back.

When renting equipment in the winter months you should ensure appropriate tires are on the vehicles. Having these rentals without winter tires is hazardous for not only the drivers but also public on the highways!!!

Had to drive an extra 40mi for pickup, plus 40mi return, but only was given an extra 50mi in usage from receiving area. Still had to pay for gas for extra 80mi, pricey in large truck. Was told I received and upgrade when booking, did not get upgraded truck. Previous users had left things in truck (blankets, dolly, and jacket) that was discovered once I was at my loading location 40mi away, so truck was clearly not checked over before given to me. Unimpressed.

Tony was very busy and didn't do the walk around. I respect the fact that he was busy, but without the walk around, I was supposed to simple accept his measurement of the gas gauge, which was wrong, and accept his view of the damage of the vehicle. I was in a pinch and not in the mood to deal with a grumpy dealer. The gas gauge was half way between 1/8 and 1/4, yet he had me electronically sign that it was at the 1/4 mark. I drove the truck 13.2 kilometers, and yet needed to put 13 dollars in the tank to make sure it wasn't below what was agreed on. With u-haul, it's either really great, or pretty lousy, with not a lot of in between. I used the service to move some belongings all the way across the country and the u-box experience was a gong show. The u-haul outfit I used in Bedford was first rate. The overall impression of Tony was that I was being a bother to him because his shop was busy.

This is the first time dropping of a vehicle at this location. Poorly identified as a uhaul drop off only a 4" x 6" sign by the door handle. Improved by it thinking it was an abandoned service station, droved an extra 8 km. then track back before I found a corner store that a patron to me that that was the place. Also not gas station neer by. Drivers should be advise to drive downtown New Glasgow prior dropping a vehicle at that place.

Not spefically directed at the pick up location. There were none/ zero/zip utility trailers but the one I rented available within the entire county. It was not the size I wanted and I had no need for a ramp.Sad !

I was told to drop the cargo trailer at the Iriving in Pictou when I arrived I was told I could not drop it off the worker helped me find where to drop it off as I did not have my cell phone with me, the need to dorp it off other than where I was origionally told cost me about 1 hour of my time and I was pressed for time, when I arrived at the 2nd drop off the location was closed for lunch and no one was on the site

The service was great. We sold our summer place and rented the truck on line. Pickup was smooth and we dropped off the truck 1 hour ago and the attendant was great and attentive. It's stressful when you move especially when your base is Toronto and doing this long distance. Thanks guys !!!!

We were quite upset with the whole ordeal. I had to wait at the counter to pick it up, and again when returning the truck the next day as the worker was in the garage changed tires. Due to the fact that the truck had near bald tires (which would have been no darn good in heavy rain) much less the bit of slush on the way home...I was not able to gain access to my yard due to the tires. I had to return the truck WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO MOVE A DARN PIECE OF FURNITURE! I expected to have to put the gas back in, which I did and the mileage which I did put on, but to be charged for the 2 doz. blankets and rental without being able to use any of it...I will NOT be using U-haul again and feel the cost of unused blankets and rental is a TOTAL rip off!!!
