The U-Haul website had conflicting information. I was supposed to do the mobile pickup at 7am but when I got there and clicked the link the site said I had to wait until 9 to do it in person. It was a stressful start to a hard day and I should have been offered a discount but I wasn't. I wasn't even offered an apology for all the inconveniences.Austen B.

I was told the rental was good for 24 hours. Used the truck less than 6 hours and returned same day. Was charged for 2 days. Cleaning fee was charged even though we only hauled a few items (none were dirty) and 2 of us swept the truck out afterward anyway. Rental lady argued that she had to clean up a mess, which was a total lie. Her regional manager is supposedly taking extra charges off, but this was ridiculous to have to deal with. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.Michael O.
They unjustly charged me a cleaning fee. The truck was not dirty in any way - it was in the exact condition that it was rented in. Tried to call and talk to location and they were rude, wouldn't listen and lied that corporate made them charge it. I think they charged it because I dropped it off at night and could because I wasn't there to dispute.Ryan B.

Rent it @ bring it back on time, so glad you had a truck for us so we could get our moving done and fast and bring the U haul back for others to rent no reason to keep it for 5hrs when the job is completed!!!! Thanks again for letting us rent it and reserving the truck for usWiniferd S.

When a customer is at the door and you have locked it before you posted time you close, maybe don't just look at them in the rain, maybe go and at least say we are closed. The staff just looked at us, we had to walk around the building to figure out where the boxes were on the building. There were lots of problems with this truck, I reported at checkout and check in.Laura S.

The lady who was supposed to be working didn't show up to work that day and she didn't load our dolly that we rented and paid for into the uhaul, so we spent 3 hours driving around to many different uhauls/ other places trying to find one to rent, putting miles on my own car and using my own gas, and ended up having to purchase our own dolly which was $130 when we were supposed have the one we rented for $12. There was also only less than a 1/4 of a tank of gas when we picked the uhaul up. We lost 3 hours of our time due to the issues which caused us to not have help moving because we had a set time schedule with moving helpers. Not only that, we also lost $142 due to having to purchase our own dolly after we paid for a dolly through this location and it was not in the truck and we could not get ahold of the lady supposed to be at the store. Not to mention, it said open on the door until 12 yet no one was there.Json R.

I selected to do a quick pick up to Skip the line. When I arrived I had completed everything online and was prompted to go inside and show the employee There my phone screen. When I went inside and let the employee know that I was supposed to show her the screen and get the key to my truck so I can go ahead and start moving the employee told me to have a seat because there's others in front of me and I needed to wait. I then proceeded to wait 40 minutes even though I filled everything out online and was supposed to be able to just go inside and grab a key. Finally It was my turn to be helped I explained my dissatisfaction with the wait as I did a quick pick up for the U-Haul. She proceeded to tell me I needed to fill out all this paperwork and then said oh wait I guess you're OK and everything is already filled out it's not prompting me to do anything. Then she gave me the key. So I waited for 40 minutes for no reason when I should've been able to go in and show them my phone and be able to leave. Had I known I would've had to wait for 40 minutes I wouldn't have selected the quick pick up I would have just selected to go in and speak with an employee or a different location. The truck I had did not have a ramp which made it difficult to move also.Overall I would not recommend this location.Janae A.
Rented me the wrong truck and after I filled it up with $100, they asked me to bring it back. Didn't want to refund the $100. Owner put $96 in it and told me that would do. Make sure the trucks are cleaned after every use. I got charged a $25 cleaning fee for dirt that was already in the back when I got the truck. I even took pictures of it when I picked it up and they still wouldn't refund me.Desiree T.

I returned a rental truck yesterday and refilled the tank to 1/4 full as requested / required. When I returned the truck, the staff said that they were too busy to check in the truck while I was there. So they checked it in later. That evening, I received an email saying that I was being charged $60+ for filling up the gas because I did not refill it. That is totally false and inaccurate. I did contact uhaul directly via their website and submitted a picture if the gauge at 1/4 full and they submitted a refund.NOEL K.

The check in process was smooth overall but having to do the full check in and account sign up in the parking lot upon pickup could be improved by letting us start that process beforehand. I drove the worst running truck. It was old with fenders hanging off and a smashed windshield, engine light on and the air conditioning didn't work. The lady even told me how bad of a truck it was and they been trying to get rid of it but it just keeps coming back. She called it a dinosaur! I called in about a discrepancy about a fuel charge to a someone named Pat and yet to get a call back. The lady at the location was nice but truck was terrible!!Eric R.
Communication was horrible. I reserved a truck and tow dolly and no one contacted me prior to my deadline to confirm location and pickup time. I called the local vendor and he had nothing on his schedule. I called the Indianapolis center and received rude and less than helpful assistance. I called the National number and was disconnected. Finally spoke with the regional scheduler and was assisted, two hours prior to my requested pickup time. I was informed that I would have to go to two different locations to get the truck and tow dolly. Needless to say I was not satisfied. The upside is that the two local vendors were nice and helpful. Customer service was friendly and fast! She had all my info online and just had to confirm my identity and pay. The truck was good except for one thing I noticed. It wa s raining so I had the windows up and air on but the air didn't blow out if the vents. I could hear the compressor kick on and sounded like the blower was working but nothing in the cabin. Possibly the duct work is loose or actuator door is frozen shut. Besides that ever thing else was good!Ed B.

The online 24/7 check in process was cumbersome and didn't work at all on the app. The support staff was rude and unhelpful. The truck was dirty, had body pieces falling off, and a broken windshield. I'm giving two stars instead of one because it at least accomplished the goal of moving stuff from one location to another.Douglas V.

Pick up on truck was suppose to be 2 minutes from my location, 2 hours prior to pick up they changed locstion twice. Directions on 24/7 was not clear and keep having to restart app. When returned truck, was charge $50 for milage since they changed location twice and also charged the gas. When if would of been at my original location would of been $80-$100 less.danylle P.

The original truck I reserved was not at this location-not the fault of this location. So when the clerk called the traffic service center, not only were they RUDE to the clerk but they told her my truck was waiting at a different location that was 30 mins from where I originally wanted to pick it up from. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!! AGain, the clerk at this location was so sweet and tried to help. BUT the traffic service center were total jerks, never informed me that my truck would not be at the original location I requested and when this location's clerk called to find out where it was they were RUDE to her!!!!!!! I hope you know that I will tell numerous friends how your customer service is extremely bad and you like to screw over your customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Karen B.

Here is the email I sent for assistance and haven't yet received a response. Hi, I rented a uHaul this weekend and both the gas and the mileage were grossly incorrect. I know I don't really have any recourse because I did not notice how low the gas was and did not compare the mileage to the sheet inside but I wanted to reach out and see what can be done. It seems like this could be easily verified by looking at the previous record for that truck (DC 5573K) Here is what happened. I rented the truck from 5330 MLK Blvd in Anderson IN 46013 and drove to my house at 631 South Broadway, 46064 , 5 miles. Then after loading I drove to 6181 N Sherman Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46220, 26 miles. When getting ready to return I went to put gas in and noticed that rather that being close to 15/16 that that uHaul said was is in it, it was at 1/4 of a tank. At that point I became aware of my mistake of not checking this at the Uhaul place. I drove the truck from 6181 N Sherman Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46220 back to Uhaul 5330 MLK Blvd in Anderson IN 46013 , another 28 miles. So I actually drove approximately 60 miles but am being charged for 180 miles plus 5 times the gas. I understand I should have checked before leaving but is there a way to see what the previous trip was logged as? It seems like I ended paying for the gas and the mileage of previous trip that did not get properly documented. I did take a photo of the gas gauge when I noticed it was at 1/4 tank and have the receipt from getting gas, but I understand these don't really prove anything. Even so, I can share those if needed. This was the first time I used my phone to pick up the rental. I was confused and I watched the video on how to get my keys etc. There was a hold up with my picture because I was wearing Prescription glasses with transitions. I had to remove my glasses before I could get approval. This should be explained in a footnote etc.John A.

The lady at the desk kind of wanted to argue with me because of a mix up until she saw my confirmation. Also she told me that it was $6,99 a gallon if I didnt bring it back on half a tank. Paper work says $3,99 a gallon. My buddy had to take it back because I missed up.my back and he didnt put gas in it but it was driven 25 mile's instead of 14 (should have gotten a big truck) had to make 2 tripdLillian W.
