The location was one of the vans outside of a building that isn't marked very well. Had no idea where to drop anything off. Pulled in and parked and was asked very condescendingly if I didn't see where all the other trucks were parked. I got back in and moved the truck 15 feet back. The gentleman working was an unhappy and rude slob of a man. Handed him the keys, thanked him for being so kind and left. Just unfortunate that my very smooth experience had to end with such a turd.

The individual I dropped the truck off to was nice enough. I told him that I had rented a dolly but it wasn't with the truck when I picked it up. He said he'd reimburse me but I wasn't reimbursed and instead I was charged $3 for extra mileage.

Very friendly and helpful guy that runs the place. He deserves a raise. 1st thing in the morning at lot of times I get there when it's open he'll have 5 customers right away. He is fast and friendly even when someone gets rude it's handled professionally.

I have NEVER received the Best Customer service in my life. I came in there scared, confused, and feeling upset. John the man at the office was SUPER NICE, PLEASANT, PATIENT, SWEET, CONCERNED, FRIENDLY, but most of all Pleasant. I'm in tears thinking about the service I received for this move. It had not been for him I don't think I could've done this move. Thank you Soooo Much John you made my day. I will never forget you. God Bless.

The mobile app experience and getting a uhaul reserved is a poor and repetitive experience. Before confirming my uhaul I was specific in wanting state street as it was closest to my house. When I'm at checkout it suddenly changes my pickup to 10 miles away. I have to talk to a rep over a call to change the address back to my original request. Then when I arrive to this location, I already entered my drivers license and selected I didn't want insurance and all the add ons when I set it up the first time. Then I gotta sit in the parking lot, share and enable location services in safari which I don't normally use. Use the one time code twice (once in chrom then on safari because it froze), and re-enter it all again. Once I finally reentered everything with the two time passcode, I find the uhaul and it claims I can skip the line with the mobile pickup. We'll I go up to the 3rd floor and 4 people are in line for a really small office for 2 people. We got there at 10 and didn't get our key until 1030 because the guy wasn't even in the office for the first 10 min. Then when we get out key, I take a photo of the odometer and it doesn't even read all the digits as it keeps flashing. I'm not late for my appt to pickup the furniture I wanted. The cost estimate in the website is also very dicieving as it doesn't include gas fillip, mileage, and the cost of the truck. If I knew I'd be out 80 dollars and have just an overall very frustrating experience I wouldnt have moved forward. When I when through the return exoerience, i got no confirmation that I was checked out or anything. I don't want to use uhaul again. Overall a really bad experience.

First truck was missing, or had a faulty, catalytic converter. U-Haul staff on site was very helpful and got us into a new truck pretty quickly - no complaints there. This delayed us over an hour and caused further problems during the day.

Compared to the last u haul I used on S east street threatening to call the cops on me using racial slurs calling me white boy and down right doging me this place is like vacation the man behind the desk is respectful and does not curse me out or threaten to call the cops on me because I was a day late will return

The U-Haul employee John was very helpful. He pushed the utility dolly and the furniture Dolly's downstairs for us. The price that I was charged was fair and generous. I rented for 6 hours and went 7 hrs pass that was charged a fair and expected price. The only to hing that I can say as about making improvements for the next customer is to have this location be open on Mondays. So that weekend renters can get their total bill come first thing Monday morning.

I wish I could have done part of the check in process in advance e.g., submitting my driver licence (driver pre-approval). It was very cold and doing all these steps outdoors was not the most comfortable experience. Also, it took me a while to find out how I should check out when returning a van. Some text message with a specific link to return procedure would be handy.

The gentleman that was at the Uhaul office was very personable and kind. I think Uhaul would benefit from attaching small GPS units to their vehicles to help track mileage and prevent theft or even assist the authorities or first responders in accidents that may occur while someone is operating the vehicle.

The key for my 10' reservation wasn't available and I was upgraded what I was told free of charge and was charged for the 15'. I had waited over a hour to get into contact with someone after my scheduled time in order to complete my reservation. The truck itself needs serious transmission and alignment attention and general maintenance. I would like a partial refund for being charged for a truck I didn't reserve because the key for the one I did, wasn't available.

The truck I was rented had a good handful of large dents and scrapes that were up to me to document before I got rolling. I mean, I don't really care what the rental looks like, but when I could be on the hook for damages I overlooked or didn't properly book when receiving the vehicle, it's kind of annoying to be handed a truck with so many cosmetic defects. The truck was kept tidy, however.

This whole experience was terrible. First of all, I reserved a truck for a completely different location for 8am. I received a confirmation that my scheduled time had changed to 10am without anyone reaching out. Then we get to the location and they told us they did not have any trucks available and sent us to another location that was 20 min out of the way. Once we get the truck, the check engine light was on and it ran terribly. Being that we were 20 min out of the way, that ran my miles up and I ended up having to pay more without any compensation.

My review has nothing to do with the quality of the pick up location. I am angry with UHaul because I had placed the truck order for the location of my storage unit on Lafayette Ave. in Indy. I even called that location the day before to confirm. The person confirmed my pick up time of 10am. The morning of my pick up I get a call from UHaul saying my pick up location was changed to downtown Indy - 20 minutes further from our hotel than our original place. No warning - just didn't honor our agreed upon, CONTRACTED, pick up location. Then when I picked up the truck, the person said they don't have my furniture pads or the utility dolly I had ordered and paid for. He said the main location where my storage unit was located may have them. This unexpected change in pick up locations delayed me an hour of my travel time. The workers at both locations were very kind and helpful - but corporate UHaul (or whomever does the scheduling) completely is lacking in quality of meeting the customer's needs and expectations. Very disappointed.

This is a strange location, and different than any other I've ever used. The staff (one person) was upstairs in the third floor office, and the trailers were outside. I didn't see any available assistance outside. I didn't need any help, but I imagine this would be a very tough location for someone without much trailering experience.

This was, by far, the worst moving experience we've ever had. We've used U-Haul in the past, which is why we opted to rent from the company for this move. After this weekend, we will never use U-Haul again. We reserved 3 U-Boxes through the website and selected a location that was within 5 minutes of our house so we could load the boxes onsite rather than have them on our narrow city street (this, after being told by the website & by a U-Haul representative that there were no trucks available in the size I requested/needed). When I arrived, the representative indicated that the boxes were not ready and we would have to come back the next day even though the reservation, as posted in the U-Haul portal, explicitly indicated that the boxes were ready that day. Being told to rearrange your entire moving schedule is not great customer service practice from a company that provides resources for individuals trying to relocate, especially when customers have selected certain dates for reservations based on very thought out and organized planning. After some discussion about the fact that we literally had our belongings in the parking lot ready to load in the boxes (as we had relied on the information provided to us by the company), the representative got on the phone and then directed us to a location 20 minutes away and said they would have the U-Boxes ready for us there (we had also rented a U-Haul cargo van to transport the larger furniture, so now mileage doubled from what we had planned/budgeted for based on the confirmed reservation). As we pulled away, we could see 3 U-Boxes sitting behind the building, waiting to be unwrapped. Obviously, no one wanted to address them for us and make sure we received what we paid for. When we got to the second location, they had no idea what we were talking about and complained about the ignorance of the other location. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to get the boxes out of the warehouse. We loaded up what we could and then went back to load up again. When we returned, the U-Boxes were nowhere to be found. Again, we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for them to retrieve the boxes. We were then asked, "Will you be done by 5pm because I don't want to stick around any later than that," by the representative. We loaded up the last U-Box with the representative sitting on the forklift, watching us pack up and, arguably, harassing us to wrap up so they wouldn't be inconvenienced. This, after a day of non-stop inconvenience from U-Haul at multiple locations. I would also note that there were trucks of the desired size sitting in the parking lot, on display, even though we were explicitly told that those trucks were unavailable that day. By far, the most dysfunctional, poorly run organization that we've ever done business with.

Location is hidden behind another building with no signage. Located on the 3rd floor of an office building that was in bad shape 20 years ago. Again, this was NOT the location I was offered and selected when I made the reservation. I was not informed my selection wasn't available before I picked up my truck.
