The van was in good condition but was dirty inside, hadn’t been swept, there was dirt and mud. I didn’t see that until I was home and as everything was packed, didn’t have a broom available. My items got dirty. I asked the attendant to take my insurance information as I didn’t need coverage. She said she didn’t need to see it and but didn’t eliminate it from the contract, I was charged $11 for coverage I didn’t need. I had previously confirmed with my insurance company and have limits if 250/500/100. I appealed first thing in the morning, waited all day and never heard back either by. Phone, text or email. When I tried to check out after hours, because of the location, I could not download pictures. This is an issue others have had. I had to call and it took much longer than normal. That isn’t the facility’s fault, uhaul should make it easier as everyone is not in a metropolitan area.

I've had very good experience when I've rented at the Hooksett NH location recently. This was my first time renting from Barre Vt, and I'm originally from South Barre. The truck had been backed into a snow bank, the entire rear bumper had over a foot of snow on it. The person at the garage kicked it off with his feet but it was very slippery. The windshield was icy, I had to use my girlfriend's scraper and clean it myself. When I loaded my items it I found the inside was never swept out. Going down interstate 89 chucks of ice were flying off the roof nearly striking my girlfriends car several times.

Was charged an environmental fee of $1.00 for what, driving a truck down the road for a 5 mile total trip? I realize it's not much money but the principle of gouging for every penny. Would recommend dropping this ridiculous fee.

The location was nice enough and the people were very friendly. The "No" on the equipment question was because the back break/reverse light was out and we didn't know it till we got stopped. Otherwise it was fine.

They were in the middle of a power outage and offered us no solutions, like signing on to 24/7. Just "nope can't do it". We called U haul customer service and worked with very helpful people and eventually resolved it without power. One of there customers offered the solution of a wireless hot spot on his phone so they could confirm the 24/7 reservation.

This particular facility was very well-prepared to meet our needs, HOWEVER, there were some procedural matter (dictated by the Corporation) of which we'd not been told when making the 'phoned reservation. For instance, it is absurd, even discriminatory, to insist that customers have an E-mail address.

No one was there during drop-off at 3 pm. As noted above, I found the additional charges to be bothersome. Why was I not told that if I dropped off 1 hour later that I would be billed for an extra day at $40? I could have easily avoided this had I known. And the mileage estimate was inaccurate to cover me picking up the vehicle and driving 10 miles to home, driving to the new home location, and then driving the 25 miles to return the vehicle to the drop off location. I did not go on a joy ride with the truck. But I was charged for additional miles. Poor way to structure this experience. Price it in up front and stop surprising people with charges. Bad taste left in my mouth.

Update the new rules for your representatives and indicate the rules for EZ pass. There was no online information and it took 3 different customer service individuals to get an answer, which I don't know is correct as to date. There are also a lot of hidden fees.

Very confusing process. Had to take pictures of the entire truck to document damage but bc the pic had to include the entire side or front or back of the truck, the damage was not visible. Seems we should be able to take close up photos of damage to submit. Return location was unclear to me. He told me I could drop it at any location but when I git to Baltimore i was told I had to drop it at the location listed. The time of drop off was also confusing when I initially rented. Because of the lack of transparency in the rental process, I will not be using UHaul again. Process used to be easy but you now force everyone to do everything online and it’s very confusing and difficult to get someone on the phone to help

Nice lady at the convenient location for the write up. Truck needed to be swept out before loading. Rented packing blankets were dirty and left grit on everything. Drivers side visor had no clip so it was in the way all the time. Not a great experience with Uhaul.

Truck had rotten food left I side the cab the serpentine belt was frayed and needed to be replaced and wasn’t before I was rented it. The air conditioner broke within an hour of starting out trip south to Georgia. The vehicle wouldn’t travel over 60 mph and when I called road side assistance I was assured I would be kept in the loop of information about help arriving and I wasn’t once notified I had to call back myself. Because if the poor condition of the truck my overnight accommodations fell through and I had to get 2 emergency hotel rooms and then my unpacking help fell thru and I had to pay for people to come help u pack the truck a day later than originally planned.

This rental location isamazing; they were very accommodating after there was some confusion by the Burlington location with our 26' rental. AJ Sunoco was able to come through for us with amazing customer service!
