Was charged an environmental fee of $1.00 for what, driving a truck down the road for a 5 mile total trip? I realize it's not much money but the principle of gouging for every penny. Would recommend dropping this ridiculous fee.

The location was nice enough and the people were very friendly. The "No" on the equipment question was because the back break/reverse light was out and we didn't know it till we got stopped. Otherwise it was fine.

The service and vehicle were excellent! I have more to move in the near future and absolutely plan to rent from AJ's again.

They were in the middle of a power outage and offered us no solutions, like signing on to 24/7. Just "nope can't do it". We called U haul customer service and worked with very helpful people and eventually resolved it without power. One of there customers offered the solution of a wireless hot spot on his phone so they could confirm the 24/7 reservation.

This particular facility was very well-prepared to meet our needs, HOWEVER, there were some procedural matter (dictated by the Corporation) of which we'd not been told when making the 'phoned reservation. For instance, it is absurd, even discriminatory, to insist that customers have an E-mail address.

No one was there during drop-off at 3 pm. As noted above, I found the additional charges to be bothersome. Why was I not told that if I dropped off 1 hour later that I would be billed for an extra day at $40? I could have easily avoided this had I known. And the mileage estimate was inaccurate to cover me picking up the vehicle and driving 10 miles to home, driving to the new home location, and then driving the 25 miles to return the vehicle to the drop off location. I did not go on a joy ride with the truck. But I was charged for additional miles. Poor way to structure this experience. Price it in up front and stop surprising people with charges. Bad taste left in my mouth.

Update the new rules for your representatives and indicate the rules for EZ pass. There was no online information and it took 3 different customer service individuals to get an answer, which I don't know is correct as to date. There are also a lot of hidden fees.

The UHaul web system is tedious. I don't see why I should check in ahead of time when I have to basically re-do the entire process onsite.

Very confusing process. Had to take pictures of the entire truck to document damage but bc the pic had to include the entire side or front or back of the truck, the damage was not visible. Seems we should be able to take close up photos of damage to submit. Return location was unclear to me. He told me I could drop it at any location but when I git to Baltimore i was told I had to drop it at the location listed. The time of drop off was also confusing when I initially rented. Because of the lack of transparency in the rental process, I will not be using UHaul again. Process used to be easy but you now force everyone to do everything online and it’s very confusing and difficult to get someone on the phone to help
