There was no help. Truck was not started and iced up windows. Wanted pick up at 7am and U-Haul sent me to a store that doesn't open until 9 am. Just have is the keys and said find the truck. It's in the lot.

Y'all screwed up and cost me extra running around. Bad information on the dolly pick up point. All that cost me a days travel... Y'all don't communicate with your other points at all...Left hand don't know what the right hand is doing...

The online check in was a mess and was difficult to navigate. I got a call not even 24 hours before hand that changes the city I was to pick up my rental. They said that because of the inconvenience I would get an extra day. Which I didn't use I had the rental back the same day by 6:30pm. They assured me they would pay the rental mileage down to travel to the city I was originally supposed to pick up rental as it was 50 miles away. It was not a good experience and I'm disappointed!

The location I was told to go to pick up the uhaul didn't have it so was sent to a different location and they didn't have the appliance dolly or blankets. I had to go to another location for those so ended up at 3 locations spread miles apart. Someone could have notified me re: change in pick up location. Very poor service. After having the uhaul for one day I received a message stating the uhaul hasn't been returned and will be reported as missing if not brought back. After calling they said there was a glitch in the system. This whole experience was a nightmare from beginning to end. I won't ever use them or recommend them again.

To start my truck was rented out from under me. I had to drive a hundred miles out of the way to get the truck. We got there and found a nasty dirty truck inside and out with large dents in the side ,b a ck and up front windshi ed ld there wasn't anyond there driving the truck back it pulled to the right vibrated and rode rough. I sent info in 3 times and was told they never got it. They tried to run my card 3 times znd each time I even called the bank to make sure it went through getting many different people . One left a msg ,not pleasant that they were after me because I was as n hr laye getting thd card through. My bank could see where thdy w ed re trying unsuccessfully to run thr card. I ask for some hrlp but on several request no one would call me. When we r ed turned the truck they were helpful snd sympathetic to my need s and gave ed md a number to call to report all this. Will call them asap still trying to get moved. Not likely to ever do this again

The cab was full of dog hair. It was not noticeable until I got on the road and started having an allergic reaction. At the next stop, I found dog hair between and under the seats. The counsel was also very sticky most likely from soda that was not cleaned up. During the check-in process their computer was extremely slow.

Employee was not prepared to unload our toe dolly and I had to do it myself. As a former uhaul employee, I was able to do it but the average person should not be expected to unhook the equipment. Staff was not helpful at all.

Location was ou of the way and they had no dollies. Had to go to another location to get the dolly I rented.

Truck was dirty, had to use the windshield washer on the windshield before I could move it from the parking lot it was so dirty. Truck needed a wash was extremally dirty on the outside , inside the windshield was so dirty I could hardly see while driving at night, I had a appliance dolly request and when I got there they had zero and told me to drive across town to pick one up at another location.

If the location closes at 5, make it very clear that it closes at 5. I was told that I could pick up my rental there at 5, but the person who checked out the rental for me had to come back after already having left to get everything straight. Indicating that the America Hotel & Campground is a UHaul pickup with conspicuous signage would have also eased a fair bit of confusion.

This location is so poor. They didn't make a walk through to show what's the damage of the truck. They will never give you a demo on the truck and trailer u used. The truck is so stinky. We need to clean it before u use it. They charge other bill aside from the price in the contract receipt. They did not even follow the time of your pick up shedule. You need to wait a couple of minute before you get your truck.

The location was fine. The truck had Very Bald tires on the front. I have pictures. I want a refund. I am not happy that my safety was placed in danger by the equipment being sent out like that.

The chains on uhaul trailer were rusted, the trailer was in terrible shape. I had to drive through 3 different mountain passes with a trailer that whipped back in forth.

Next time please let us know the phone used to reserve the uhaul needs to be at the location in order to pick it up. I was in the hospital delivering my baby so we were unable to do that for you guys after my surgery.

Location did not have blankets and dollies. I was rerouted to this location without any say in the matter. Windshield wipers needed replaced. Driving in rain was difficult. Main location on deadwood in Rapid would ever pick up phone. Tried to call 3 or 4 times and kept getting routed to useless call center.

Drop them as an alternative pick up location for u haul In Rapid City. It was disgusting, no mask wearing, employees hacking and sneezing, no plexiglas at counter. My husband had to wait one hour in a crowded lobby and then none of the furniture blankets were wrapped. There is a high covid outbreak in that town so we on purpose went with u haul so we'd have a legit company with policies regarding cleaning/ covid. We spent the whole drive worrying my husband had been exposed. I issued a complaint and a manager was supposed to call me but no one has Returned my call . I'm only loosing more respect for u haul.

The drop off point was an almost vacant lot. Had I not seen the U-HAUL equipment in the lot I would not have known this was where I was to drop off the trailer. Need signage by the road to the drop off point, and again where you turn into the drop off point. It would be helpful to have a sign on the building across from the drop off point indicating that this was the U-Haul site to rent or deliver the equipment.

The truck was dirty on the inside. I had to sweep AND mop the floor before I was comfortable with loading my goods into the truck. Additionally, I was told to bring it back with a full tank of gas as the attendant walked away sucking on his Portable Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System. Then I started it and got ready to pull out the parking lot when I noticed the fuel gauge was below 3/4 tank. I had to chase down the attendant and let him know. Bottom line here is that the truck was probably never inspected when it was previously turned in and if it was then someone should have gassed it up and cleaned it out. I was also charged $14 for the insurance that I declined when making the reservation. But I've yet been able to contact the company to rectify the issue. I'm disappointed in Uhaul on this one. We'll see if anyone even reads this and makes it right.

Since U-Haul is shared with another company and they share computers, the wait time for check in was a little longer than normal.

It was too complicated. Required multiple phone calls to change the return date. Once that was done they over charged me for a day and Still haven't replied to that. You only deal with national people on the phone. Maybe the locals should handle the bookings. I don't know if I will ever use uhaul again. It's been very frustrating which is the last thing you need during a move.

The area is not fenced or secure. The office people were very nice and helpful but really it's just a drop off point.

The "technician" that hooked up my trailer, Charles, could have killed someone. I think he was under the impression that I was a clueless trailer drier and so he could get away with anything. Didn't cross chains, didn't even hook up the third safety chain, didn't check equipment, didn't check lights' didn't hook up brake lights, didn't check tire pressures, didn't check if the trailer was clean, didn't take a photo of his work. He seriously could have killed someone on the road and it would have been on my dime. A HUGE thank you goes out to Paul Lewis the owner at the U-haul in Rapid City South Dakota, he most likely saved lives by doing all of the checks that Charles at America's mailbox neglected to do. He needed to do a ton of things to make the trailer right and safe for me to drive down. He changed a tire with less than half of the safe pressure, he replaced a wire harness for the brake lights that was completely severed, he changed eh license plate light which was out (ILLEGAL TO DRIVE LIKE THAT), he replaced the third safety chain, and he made sure everything worked. I would NEVER recommend anyone who cares about their own lives and the lives of others to deal with Charles at americas mailbox in Rapid City South Dakota, but I would certainly recommend the U-haul office in Rapid City South Dakota and to deal with Paul Lewis. To be honest, I would expect a full or partial refund for the trouble we experienced. The time we lost due to this extravaganza was huge, and on top of that we could have killed someone on the road.

The man who helped us had to be called from someplace in the back. 10 mi yes later he shows up lookin Ike a drunk who had a hard night. His clothing was disheveled,hair was uncombed, and I doubt he ever trims his shaggy beard or brushes his teeth. He never sent the email with the receipt. I had to call to have it sent.

contract entered at Omaha and Deadwood Ave location. Had to go across town to find the truck at America Motel. Poor management.

Need to show concern. Returned truck last Tuesday, said would email me after checked vehicle out, still have not heard from them and status still shows unknown. It is like they did not want to mess with the truck it was not their main business! Would not recommend them at all!

Don't double book trucks. I booked a truck almost 3 weeks before my move. The day of the move: I caught a ride from a friend to get my truck. My scheduled truck wasn't there for pickup at the location and all other trucks were booked. I was sent to another location. I again called my friend for a ride. We get there and that location didn't open for another two hours. Saw one truck there. Friend took me home. Sat on phone to confirm with uhaul for 20 minutes before I was transfered but then i was mysteriously cut off. Called uhaul back and was on hold as i drove the car to the first uhaul location. Begged person who answered not to let me get cut off again so I can get confirmation of the truck availability as I get to the uhaul store. I confirm on the phone there is a reservation for a truck at the other location. I pick up a hand truck and a couple mattress covers because it didn't look like other location had any of that stuff. Lady felt sorry for me because of the problems and let me use hand truck free of charge. That helps me none. I get reimbersed for the move from my employer. I go home and for the third time call my friend for a ride. I get to the uhaul location and find out truck is booked by the uhaul contractor for the next day and he did not want to let it go. He called uhaul scheduling because I was was not leaving until somone got this situation figured out. I was asked to drive to next nearest uhaul that had a truck which was 55 miles away. I told them I can't because I don't have a ride and movers coming in 30 minutes. I previously called my movers when things looked like I was go in to be late and was told rescheduling that day wouldn't work for them. At uhaul the guy helping me was told by scheduling to give me a truck and they would re-route one for him. I get the truck. Movers come as I get to my house load. Loaded. Then I have to go to first uhaul to get the car dolly (other store did not have anything like that. I go back home load car and on my way. Uhaul you get an F for your scheduling office.

Was extremely slow process, the first trailer was missing, so back across the street to check on it. Came back and had us hook up and then the lights didn't work, back across the street to get a different light cord. Third trailer and we were on our way

Reserved a 20ft with auto transport online. When I arrived only a 26 was available and it had a auto dolly attached 2 wheel only. I was told that he might have an auto transport, but not sure. After 20 min of calling other uhaul locations he ended up finding an auto transport for us. He showed me how to,hook it up and sent me on my way home a 15 min drive. Upon arriving home my wife tells me that there are no brake lights on the auto transport. When I called to ask about it be said that he might have a cable for that, but he wasn't sure. We then received a call back that he would have them,waiting for us so I had to drive back to pick them up.....oh I forgot to mention we had movers meeting us on the clock. We were late meeting them and had to pay them extra for waiting. Thanks for the confusion and stress on the start of our 3 day move it made a less than enjoyable experience worse. Would have been nice if they were organized.

Make sure equipment is in working condition and tires are not flat. Cost me 27 dollars to get a flat tire repaired in South Dakota before I could use trailer. Train personnel on computer. I got charged 70 dollars for safe tow insurance even though I had declined it in my online check-in because USAA provides my towing insurance. I didn't get informed that he added it until my card had been a charged.

I changed my preferred pickup place to here adding 50 miles to my trip. First of all, when I got there the dropoff place had been changed to a state on the other side of the country from where it was supposed to be. They had to call uhaul to figure out how to fix it. Then, I noticed the allowed mileage was 50 miles less than my original reservation. Instead of adding 50 miles to my original allowed mileage, they had taken 50 miles off. I explained why I needed the extra 100 miles and they changed it. It wasn't until I turned the rig in that I found out the idiots didn't add 50 miles to the original mileage, they added it to the total they had come up with. I ended up having to pay over $20 extra because they couldn't figure out what they were doing. My experience other times with uhaul have always been good. I was surprised at these people. Get them some serious training!

We were supposed to pick up at a location closer to our home and were moved the day before after 4 PM! This location was closed on Sunday which was our reservation day! Why would we be moved to an inconvenient location that was closed? To say I was unhappy and angry is a severe understatement!!!

I made a reservation three weeks in advance only to be told the day before that there was no truck to be had. Had to spend half day calling around to other locations to try make something work. Why couldn't the operator that called me from Fargo help me find other options. I understand that trucks break and reservations don't always work, but was told "we can't help you" and then hung up on. Very, very poor customer service! And when we did find a truck to use, it had a flat tire. That was another three hours of phone calls to arrange for that service thru U-Haul.
