This location is a parking lot, no one is available to help check in equipment, the lady I spoke to was a little rude and not very helpful, she just told me park it and use the app to check in the truck. Well the app did not work on my phone had issues and very stressfull.HAROLD Z.

The second location where I picked it up worked great. Skippers wouldn't let me get the truck, it said GPS said I wasn't there when I was sitting there looking at the truck. Your lady was mean to me, but called back and moved my reservation down the road and it worked. You owe me a free rental because it cost me two hours. 9:00 pickup got the truct at 10:45, and I was paying a team of movers 150 $hour. Very Very disappointed. The truck I rented had a problem with the steering it would seay to the left and right, to much play with the steering wheel, about eight or more inches. Plus I have been charged an after hours fee of twenty dollars even though I sent an email letting u-haul know I had dropped it off. I didn't even get a paper contact and it has no office.Larry J.

This location is unmanned.There is no one available to check you out when you return equipment. They expect you to check out by cellphone. BUT WARNING !!!! THERE IS NO CELL PHONE SIGNAL ON THE LOT!!!!!! I COULD NOT GET A SIGNAL ANYWHERE ON THE LOT NEITHER COULD MY FRIEND WHO USES A DIFFERENT CELL PHONE SERVICE PROVIDER. I was told by the employee who drove there and met me to rent me my equipment that many others had complained that there was no signal. BUT THEY STILL CHARGE YOU EXTRA AFTER THE SALE FOR NOT CHECKING OUT ON YOUR CELLPHONE. You have to be on their lot with your cellphone to check out gps. but it is impossible to do so . SCAM!!!!!! Customer support at U-Haul is second to none. Using phone and helpful phone staff helped me with the automated check in procedure. Walked me through the process then used the U-Haul app on my phone to complete the return. Smoothest thing I have done in a long while.Richard C.

Very rude lady at the pick up and drop off location. Called and accused of property damage and informed me that no parking on the property is allowed. How am I supposed to rent a truck without leaving my personal vehicle onsite?MATTHEW W.
I was unaware I had to have certain things to enter during pickup. You should be able to submit them before you're standing in a field trying to start moving your belongings. Also the system kept messing up upon return of the vehicle and OVERCHARGED me by ~650 $!!! And customer service was awful. They did not care that I had that much taken out and it was being refunded. Mind you... it takes â€œ3-5 business daysâ€ to return into my account and it was a Friday. What if I needed that money for gas or food for me and my 1year old daughter? What if I didn't have that kind of money sitting in my bank account? Would I be responsible for overdraft fees etc? And then I couldn't get any amount of my money back because the 65 $for my U-Haul was accurate...... the charges being accurate wasn't the point. The point was a system failure on your part delayed my pick up and return of the equipment and also caused me to be charged an extreme overage of money. I'm never using U-Haul again.Kassandra G.
They quoted me 54 to rent a car hauler. When I get there it's 95,67 because it was the last one. When I dropped it off I took pictures of trailer placement, hooked and unhooked from my truck. The worker there after I left jacked the trailer to high to hook up to a moving truck and broke the jack. I have pictures with a tape measure. I think they finally conceded this was on them. Next after I checked it in the workers decided not to come in making my online check in null and void because it was now past 24 hours ( mind you I rented it at 18:30 the day before and it was sitting on your lot the next morning at 10:56 am with time stamped pics. My wife made the online reservation because I was on the road but put in all my information including my email , credit card , phone number and truck type. Now the very rude people at the Freeport drop off charged me another 21,4 because my pic weren't off my wife's phone. I clearly had the guy once again add all my information at the pickup site. Now I'm out 117,07 $ for a 15 hour rental. Is this how you allow these people to represent your company? I would like a refund place back to my credit card immediately. I would not return to this place again when it's not manned. Luckily I had someone with me and together we were able to bounce it off the hitch ball. The pick process was a NIGHTMARE! My location and time were changed without any notification. Then, I got curt phone calls from the Freeport female agent who said she was the owner of 2 locations locally. She offered no flexibility in pick up time options or any explanation of why my location and time was altered without my knowledge as well. The attitude displayed was "take it or leave it..." She could not have cared less about any level of real customer service. Going forward we will likely rent with Penske, Home Depot etc....where there is a level of professionalism, and basic understanding that the CUSTOMER should have priority not the Owner and/or employees convenience.Alex K.

Had an online pick up at 9:00 AM. There were 5 customers on the lot when I arrived at 9:00. No U-Haul worker arrived until 9:45 and it was around 10:15 by the time I finally got my trailer. Received no assistance from any staff to get hooked up.Gary R.

The online check in was a little cumbersome. Had poor cell/internet service at the location. The owner/employee was very helpful though and got us through the process.Arthur F.
we had a truck and a car carrier. Dropped off the car carrier late night and could not check it in on your app with out the truck. We turned in the truck the next day. This place closes at 1:00PM so nobody there. We used the app to check it in but couldn't check in the car carrier. The app isn't very accommodating. It was pouring rain and we had to get drenched to get the photos. Horrible experience.Michael D.

when I dropped off the truck at Bj bait shop the online check in was fine until I was asked to approve an extra mileage charge for the drop off. That was not explained at all. I will never use U-HAUL again because that should have been disclosed up front. This was not my first one way truck rental but it sure will be that last with you guys!!!!Tony H.

The dropbox for the key was hidden behind all of the big trucks. It should be next to the trailer/office where it is more visible. We could not find it anywhere. Took forever to go through the checkout process online. Taking pictures was not working. There should be a way to make this process a lot smoother.Kasey C.

The lady working was very nice and helpful, she came out to inspect the trailer and let us stand there and fold the blankets instead of just automatically charging us for them being unfolded. She made sure we were able to loop around to drop the trailer instead of having to back it in. She was very customer service oriented and I would definitely rent from her again.John B.

Have a qualified maintenance person actually inspect the trucks. I'm thinking Uhaul is borderline lawsuit liable for renting me a truck in this state of ill repair. The fact that I paid for this and ended up spending hours trying to get it in a safe to drive condition which cut into my personal time to load the truck still frustrated me. How is this acceptable to a company of your size? Where's your CRM process?James P.

Facility is not staffed on a Tuesday. The return message board is not lit up well at night for being able to drop off equipment/trucks and key to rigs. When I called the required number to speak with a Uhaul rep., the woman could only see my return info. For one or two questions on her screen. Also, she was servicing me by phone while trying to serve another customer simultaneously by phone, presumeably. Then when downloading mileage and gas tank level photos, the download failed and I had to repeat the questions asked from the beginning. Then after a second failed download, the phone rep said she could only see a small portion of my entries, but that she would make a electronic note saying she could see I had answered a few questions and that would suffice. I dropped keys in truck return box as ondtructed. Next morning I returned to facility in Freeport, FL. And the UHaul rep. On site said the truck Ibhad returned day before was reported by UHaul as being "missing" from facility. Eventually the UHaul service rep on site checked rig in, The return site staff person or service rep was able to process my return.Christopher Z.

This location is strictly do it yourself. There is not an office or a person to speak with. It is in the country so cell service is not the best. If you booked your reservation on line be prepared for a 45 minute wait because you will have to go through the whole process again. Uploading pictures of drivers license and when returning truck they want you to take a couple of pictures of the truck the mileage and fuel gauge. I do not recommend this method of renting a truck. I would not have rented here had I known that it would be this inconvenient. Moving is stressful, I did not need this added stress. I feel like U-Haul owes me a paycheck because I did their jobs.Stephen P.

Online hours of operation said 9am to 5pm but there was no one onsite when I arrived at 10am. I had to quickly drop the trailer off and leave then later on I was informed when I called to ensure that they had recorded my trailer into the system that i was going to be charged 20 $bc no one was present, even though it was during their "open hours".Rex R.
BJ's was great and the Brewton pick up location was great. But U-Haul sucked on this deal. Bruton location said I would have to call U-Haul to change locations as they did not have one in my city for drop off. There was one 5 miles down the road. So I did call them and they told me to take it to that location and they still charge me 20 $service fee. That's some bull crap as I rent from U-Haul at least two or three times a month. Zero stars on U-Haul on this trip. Five stars on Brewton and BJ's U haulKirt C.
