Nothing the fault of the employees, but the located in Braid area is awful due to the train tracks, traffic, and endless waiting. Then I found out at the end of my trip back, the Flying J across from the dropoff location is diesel only, so had to go back out and come in again after refueling.

U-Haul decided that they would move us around to where we could pick up the truck and changed the truck size, to a larger truck, that we had booked 2 months earlier. All of this with 2 days notice. Our impression was that this was done because we wanted to go only one way.

Well it was a repair garage and we were from Richmond and had to drive 1hour in traffic to get to New Westermister to get the truck and then they didn’t have the auto transport for us so then had to call and pick up that in a different location a lot off running around to different places

I flew into YVR and therefore booked the location closest to the airport. I booked my reservation and flight back in April for end of September hoping to avoid exactly what unfolded. On the flight over, the location was changed twice, eventually to the New West location. Which is very far away and inconveient. So I had to skytrain for close to 2 hours to get out to New West with all my bags. This location is across a set of tracks, there was a train stopped across the crossing for 20 minutes. So I stood on the a busy, noisy super disgusting street corner waiting with all my heavy bags for about half and hour to walk less than a km to pick up the truck. This has got to be one of the most congested busiest street corners in the lowermainland it took an additional 20 minutes to make the right turn onto braid st. to get to the highway. This whole experience made me late for all the other logistics that were in place. Late to pick up appliances, late to meet the movers. My back was already killing me from lugging around all my heavy bags for more than 2 hrs through all of the lower mainland. The operators of the uhual location were fine. This is more of a general rant about the whole Uhual system in general and how frustrating it is. I also was given a 15' truck when I requested a 20 or 26' truck. Therefore could not move all my things, and am still scrambling to figure out how I'm going to get the rest of my items 11 hours east where I've moved too.

While it was quick, they had us climbing scraps of wood and cement to get to to the truck and the only places to park were in deep puddles unless you park in spots reserved for other companies, and there was a scary lack of communication. They didn't review anything with us when signing for it, just confirm your info is correct and sign here. Took us to the truck and we had to confirm with him if things were recorded and Then when we dropped off, turns out it wasn't, the people receiving claimed there was no record.

The inside smell like someone pee on it, we need to clean and cover the floor with board. And also I put on my cart the mattress cover, they even charge me but when I got there they charge me big amount of prize but without the things that I order too. Im not really satisfied!

i had the worst experience with uhaul possibly ever. they called and told me to pick up the truck early at no extra charge for the additional days, changed the location for pickup to a location 45 mins from my house, when i got to this dirty sketchy office in a garage, the man didnt speak to me, handed me a debit terminal to sign without telling me anything or showing me the contract and gave me keys and walked away. he changed the reservation dates for my move to a city 4 hrs away and marked the start date of my reservation as the day i picked up the truck even though i was told the days were complimentary as they needed room on their lot, he didnt have the equipment i had reserved 3 months earlier either with my truck. When i left i got a notification saying my return date for the truck was scheduled before i was even scheduled to arrive in the city i was moving to, which was obviously impossible. When i called to try and fix the situation i spent 2 hours on hold being bounced from person to person until one agent gave me a complimentary 2 days. The day i was supposed to bring the truck back, i called to extent a day since we were a bit behind on our move, and the agent i spoke to told me that it was against policy to offer complimentary days and that he wouldnt be honouring that and removed the notes from my account. I spent another hour on the phone only to be bounced back to that same agent twice who told me this would be a lesson to me in not reading contracts before signing them, even though i was never presented with one. when i returned my uhaul, i was charged 277$ in fees and penalties for returning the truck 3 days late, regardless of the reservation i had made 3 months earlier, and accommodating the early pickup they asked me to do across town ( which i had to pay for the gas for in a 20ft truck) will NEVERRRR use uhaul again, a fucking nightmare in a move to a new city that had been meticulously planned for months, just to be completely derailed by uhaul.

This was my first time to use Uhaul services and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences ever. You changed my booking details and made my move much worse. You charged me extra for your own mistakes. Your customer support didn't reply when I called to get assistance. Overall worst experience ever.

The inside of the truck cab was filthy, garbage under the seats, floor mats were full of dirt, broken glass in the glove box and inside of the windows was dirty. To top it off they charged me a cleaning fee at the drop off location.

Office dirty and unorganized. Language barrier, product was not at location,. Website is difficult to negotiate, therefore deposit is not received yet. Tried calling several times for questions but employee was not helpful.

Tires were bald even though I was driving on highways in the winter through the snow, there was a check engine light when I got the truck, truck was dirty and smelt bad inside. Had to clean out before I could use and drive 11 hours in it.

The truck let water in through the long drive between Burnaby and Calgary, leaving my belongings at that were on the floor. There were no hooks in the cargo area, just wooden slats along the sides, making it difficult to use ratchet straps.

Lots to say about this whole experience actually! 1. I made the reservation for the tow dolly for the car and a 10x8 trailer 2. Arrangement was to pick up on Sunday the 21 January 3. The guy from U-Haul calls me to say he can give me the rental for the trailer from one location but that I have to go to another location to get the two dolly. 4. Then another guy calls me from BMG to say he has both but that I have to take a 15 foot and pay the extra. 5. I told him no and that I reserved the 10 foot and that I don't want to pay the difference plus it is heavier and I don't want to pay extra for gas. 6. He said there is no 10 footer anywhere in Vancouver even though that's what I reserved. And very well he will keep the price the same. 7. He said he can give me both but it has to be today that I pick it up because he is not open on Sunday. 8. I told him I'm in Montreal and would not arrive until 11, I asked him if I can send my son to do paperwork for me and he can give us the keys and I will come Sunday to pick up. He agreed. 9. I told him I have never mounted a car on the dolly and can he show my son how to do it so we are able to do it. He said there are pictures on it. 10. He never showed my son anything, plus when I picked up the trailer was dirty in the cabin and the two dolly was covered in sand and dirt. The picture on it with instructions was warn off and unreadable. Without a doubt I have spent more money on gas then if I would have received what I actually rented the 10 foot. As my travel was Vancouver to Calgary I was very disappointed in this whole process.

I had hoped for more options closer to my home address. Despite this, I was able to get the truck that I needed when I needed it. It was snowing and difficult conditions on the day of pick up. The truck was running, cleared of snow, and pulled out of the spot for me when I needed the truck. People were polite and efficient.

Uhaul says it guarantees the equipment is there for my order. It was not. This is a huge inconvenience and I will never use uhaul again. What's the purpose of booking with uhaul if everything about your request will be changed and equipment missing from the order?

It was really hard to tell what sort of damage would be considered worth marking, and the vehicle had a lot of dirt and grime in the cab. It was really hard document everything with the vehicle, there was a lot of sediment buildup, it looked kind of like concrete, around the vehicle skirt, so it was difficult to tell what was damage, and what was just crud. There was also a lot of salt residue on the mats. It was just a weird one.

The atmosphere at the drop off location was not very friendly, it seemed like they aren't into customer service so the uhaul rental seems like an afterthought to their main business. With that said, it was in huge contrast compared to the stellar pick up location but they got things done. The yard was littered against the fence and it's a small section in front of the business. Passable but not a good experience.

No directions on how to get through the gate when we arrived. Did not have all the equipment we had ordered.

Hard to find. There is a gate that you have to hope the mechanic beside it is around to open it. If you phone U-Haul to have the gate opened, you get the general phone line and have to wait. Luckily the mechanic was around and opened the gate for me and I walked the rest of the 100 metres to Unit 207

1) BMG Manager at site did not offer any help after I explained all of the trouble we had with the truck. He did not appear to care at all and could not wait for me to leave. Even the BMG truck staff had trouble trying to unlock the steering before moving the truck. What a joke.

The location felt a bit sketchy. We were not told about the Required gas refill before dropping the uhaul off. The location is not easily accessible as there is an iron gate that needs to opened to get access. We had to call a number that was located on a small sign adjacent to the gate to get it opened. Customer service was lacking and we felt as though we were inconveniencing the guy running the place.

There were frequent text messages (4) changing the location for the pick up. A phone call from U haul telling me exactly where it actually was, especially when I had to travel 4 hours at great expense to pick up this unit, would have been helpful.

You've been in business long enough, its 2023 you should be able to figure out where your vehicles are at all times. If I order something months in advance and you dont have the stuff I order when I come to pick it up, thats on you. Customer service should be your number priority, and its clearly not.

When I arrived there was no one in the office. After a few minutes, I had to walk near the back to find someone to help. Truck was relatively clean but dusty. The truck battery also died on the way to returning the truck and I had to get boosted.

Fraudsters! It was my worst experience with U-haul. I drove 5 miles but they charged me for 25 miles. Be sure to take pictures of the existing damage, mileage, and fuel level, otherwise, you will be deceived. They are cammers. Recommend everyone to stay away from this place

There were issues with trailer being ready and I was responsible for a long time to check in as I figured there was not much to renting a trailer. I will know next time to on line complete. I think the trailer should have a licence plate and we did have trouble with the right turn light
