How about don’t change the confirmed pick up location after it’s been confirmed? Braid street is a shithole, along with the original Burnaby location that I thought my truck was at. The guy at the Burnaby location was completely useless and not friendly at all. You need to do an over(u)haul of your business and where the trucks can be picked up. It’s gross

This location is a long way from my home, so I don’t know why U-Haul directed me there. Quite inconvenient, particularly after hours as the gate was closed. Only plus is that Braid Skytrain station is a moderate walk away.

There was nothing wrong with this pickup location. The workers there were helpful and patient. The issue is that this location is 45 minutes drive from where we live in Vancouver. It would have been much more helpful to pick the vehicle up from their large facility on SE Marine Drive in Vancouver. I phoned to try and arrange that but the person at the other end said they would phone back but they never did.

the gentleman at the counter barely talked to me, and the uhaul we picked up was not well maintained as the brakes started smoking and we were broken down on the side of the highway for close to 5 hours with no help

I have moved many times with Uhaul and this was the worst moving experience we have ever had with Uhaul. After booking with reservation centre I was notified the day before our equipment was not available at that location and was given another location. I understand this can happen. So I made arrangements and when we arrived at the second location we were told that our truck was not there and there was nothing they could do. After making it clear that we urgently needed our truck as we were moving out of town, a smaller truck was located at a 3rd location. I had movers on the clock for this entire runaround which added almost a full day to the move. I have never felt it necessary to submit a complaint about anything. Needless to say we will never use Uhaul again and zero chance we will recommend to friends Ryan

Office was dirty and not clean. Staff were helpful, but seemed to have difficulty handling multiple customers and trouble managing the system. The pickup process took 2 hours.

Make sure it has fluids. I had to buy 2 liters of oil ....it was low on radiator fluid as well. Rear right break was dripping fluid onto breaks... was a pleasure to find that out on the way down the mountain

Firstly I live in North Vancouver. I picked this up in New Westminster. I had to drive 2 hours to go pick up the equipment due to traffic. However when I got there my equipment wasn't there! The manager was severely unhelpful and refused to help. I got on to the phone of the manager at port moody, she was amazing!! She got the equipment I needed, yes it took another hour, but she was friendly approachable and wanted to help. When the guy went through the equipment at the location he didnt show me how to do anything. Just did it and then walked off, no walk around, no this is how you use the auto transport. It was shocking!!! Funnily enough I wasn't the only customer when I was there that was treated poorly, there were three others that were just as appalled! Due to the above I was four hours late to pack and get on the road to Calagry!!! $50 compensation and that's all!!

Location is cramped in the back of a row of mechanic shops and warehouses. Unit was clean on the outside but the dash had a thick layer of dust on it. Windshield was very dirty on the inside and was hard to see out of. Once at my home, i cleaned both the dash and the windshield myself. When we were all loaded up, a light on the dash with the message "Add Oil" came on. We went to another location of U-Haul and they added 2 litres of oil since the truck had NO oil in it!!! I called the call centre and worked out a discount of $15 (voucher EBB99BF8) that was to be applied when i returned the truck. When I got there in the morning, there was no one there to process the return let alone the voucher. I had the option to check in online which I did but was never asked for the voucher code. I had to make an additional 3 calls to finally get the $15.00 credit. When I called the 1-800 number, I got the US and all they wanted to do was create a case #2320416 and have upper management call me in 48-72 hours. First time renting from U-Haul and unlikely to ever use that location again. On the other hand, the 2 young men on Barnett Hwy in Coquitlam were sympathetic and professional.

The person at the till at the time, wanted to charge me 80 dollars more, he said, and when I complained that I should be even given a refund for returning it a day ahead of the allotted time, then he drooped the demand because I told him I will complain to he head office.

The cab of the truck I rented was filthy. The steering wheel was "mechanic greasy" and the seats were grungy. I had to clean much of it myself for my 3 day trip.

The guy hooking it up did not speak English and I think communicating important information was lacking. I also wonder if the hook up was as good as it could be as my vehicle was pushing the front end of the trailer really low.

Truck was not prepared with moving dollies and such in advance. Did not have the requested number of moving blankets. Needed to ask and chase staff to get moving dollies in decent timing.

there was no customer service. tried calling ahead of time but no one picks up. line is always busy or went straight to fax line. this location is a mechanic shop and doesn't have the right processes to help UHaul customers. not pleasant. but not horrible. just blah.
