Jose CThis was the most difficult thing to do from the beginning to the end, and in pouring rain no less. Sat on the phone with your representative for almost an hour to open the van to start this nightmare. Had to take pictures of everything, phone got wet, took almost as long to return as it did to start the rental process which was a complete nightmare. I will not recommend anyone doing this alone, just go somewhere and rent it from a person. You say it is easy, perhaps for a young person with knowledge of new programs but my son is a computer whiz and he was like "this is ridiculous mom" he is 29 years old.
Scott HThe only issue I consistently have when renting a UHaul vehicle is the remote check-in process. When the app is using Google location to verify that I am at the right address, the app says that I am not at the location even though I am right next to the vehicle. It takes several retries before it finally works.
Richard KEverything went smoothly and effortless. Renting and returning process was quick and easy. The only thing missing on the 10 ft truck was there was no ramp or lift on the truck which would have made it a little easier to load and unload. Was not aware it didn't until the next day when we went to load it.
Bernard MYou're not asking the right quesitons. The pickup location was fine. The pickup EXPERIENCE was terrible. The app didn't work properly and I was on hold for 10 minutes waiting for a rep, only to be put on hold again when he passed me to someone else. There are things that I could have prepped better for online pickup had I known I'd need them. I don't carry my passport at all times and everyone in my family whom I could contact was otherwise engaged. It all worked out, but it was quite frustrating and totally avoidable.

Thomas PI would never in my life use uhaul ever ever again. This was the worst most frustrating experience I have ever had. This has become such an unprofessional and unreliable company. I thought i was in a 3rd world country begging chasing after a vehicle after being rerouted after getting to the pick up location and waiting over 20m each time to speak to someone.
helaine aCheck in and check out issues Sat for 20 minutes waiting for approval through the website. It was downpouring when I dropped off truck and I needed to stand out in the rain to take pictures to show the interior and parking position, which is a terrible system
Travis WI shouldn't been charged for gas to go 16 miles rt. That was a ripoff.

Wayne SWe liked our U Haul experience. The truck was very clean and had plenty of pickup when going up large hills. Also, the young man who took care of us was great. He was very nice and certainly knew his job. The one disappointment. No discounts. My wife and I are senior Citizens. We both had longtime careers as teachers. Plus, I was a member of the National Guard. However, UHaul will not give us a discount for any of the above service to our state and to our nation. We have only begun to move some of our furniture to our new home. However, we had to stop our move because it costs too much. We need a discount to continue. Can you help us with a discount? Merci.

Brian CThey where supposed to text/email me photos of trailer they never did. One tire was flat upon pickup, they gave me choice, cancel rental, take it and keep putting air in tire or call roadside assistance. When asked about flat tire or any other trailer defects I was told it would be my responsibility unless I took the insurance??? They are clueless as far as any information. They called area manager who had no idea how to deal with flat tire. Never received any confirmation of my contract or of the return of trailer. No jack on front of trailer, no help in lifting it off hitch. I'm elderly and was made to try and get this heavy trailer off my hitch.

Frank SAgent was fine truck was filthy. By accident I put the truck key in the mailbox. And why am I getting charged an additional $20 for a return fee on the weekend that is never happened before. I am completely disgusted. If it is a cleaning fee truck was return cleaner than when I picked it up.I left it needed to be swept because it needed to be swept just like it needed to be swept when I pick it up otherwise it wouldn't of been swept it all because I left it the way I felt thank you I want that fee returned

Susan SJenn and Matt were extremely helpful. Last year we had a bad experience at another locaiton where the truck we booked was not available. This year at Columbia Self Storage Hamburg, NJ they made sure that we had the truck on our scheduled dates. Exceptional customer service. Would definitely book with them in the future.

Horrible horrible service. First was told there was a computer glitch that caused us to a different location where there wasn't a truck that I reserved. Spoken to a customer service representative not sure the name but was extremely unprofessional and rude to me. Spoke to a Lance who was polite and very helpful. He found us another location a smaller truck unfortunately but was available which we went to. While there trying to fox our reservation we spoke to a Michelle who put me on hold for over half an hour and we never heard from her just stayed on hold. Then we spoke to an Amy who transferred us right back to the main menu which was all close

When I got there it took an hour to figure out how to get the keys because the place was not open and there was no clear direction given. I had to wait on hold for 20 minutes to speak with a representative to help me figure out how to get the truck. Certainly did not make it easy at all and then wasted an hour of my time to start packing up the truck and vehicles.
Noelle STook 20 minutes to pick up uhaul using online pick up even after being pre-registered. This was after the 40 minute drive one way to pick up!

COLLEEN BOur 20' truck was received unswept and unclean with a hand truck still in the back of the vehicle unbeknownst to the representative at Uhaul. We received our contract and paperwork trusted that the mileage put down on the paperwork by Uhaul was correct. Did a local move a couple of trips back-and-forth and calculated out mileage with google maps as we went. No way we went over even 75 miles. We even rounded up and Google mapped our trips locally back-and forth with no trip more than 9 miles each way. Returned vehicle after hours placed key in key drop. Checked mileage on the vehicle at the end and noticed immediately there has to be some kind of a mistake. Vehicle is showing that we drove over 170 miles. Absolutely no way this is correct. Called representative in morning and they would not hear us out only stating this is what the vehicle shows we drove. Made the mistake of trusting this representative at the time of rental and not checking the speedometer ourselves at the start of our rental. Would think that U-Haul would have some inkling that there was a problem here knowing this was a local move and at the time they presented us with the vehicle they were surprised that it was not even swept and that there was still a handtruck in the back. This shows me there was probably a problem with the check out of the last renter. He led before our rental. Some understanding or accommodation should have been made to us. This was an absolute error in mileage recording on Uhals paperwork. Extremely frustrated and angry at the extreme amount of extra money we have to pay when we know we did not drive this mileage, there is no way we drove over 170 miles on our local move as was stated. Extremely disappointed with this U-Haul experience!
