I rented a 15' U-Haul truck. Contract #10579227 One way. To Burnsville NC to do disaster relief. $413.80. Then we lost the key fob to the other vehicle we took so had to drive the Uhaul back home. We did receive a $80 rate discount on the one way. I called Uhaul and the lady said that to turn it in and tell them to cancel the one way and do a round trip. We told the guy who was very nice but he said because of the miles that couldn't be done and we couldn't get another discount. I'm sure he was doing the best he could for us. So our additional charge was $542.62. This was $128,82 over a one way. My heart hurt because we had to take monies that were from personal and disaster money to pay for this. When I see that U-Haul has a 6 BILLION dollar revenue. So to improve I would suggest more help for those that are doing disaster relief. Please and thank you.

SCOTT LCell service at this location is sketchy, which may impede use of mobile devices when checking out/checking in a truck. Not sure what can be done about this, but it can complicate the process. The personnel for this location are courteous and professional.

Ryan MThe equipment (utility dolly & furniture dolly) and pads that I had ordered were not in the the truck when I self checked out the truck. I had to wait 1 1/2 hrs until someone showed up in the office to get them however they did not have a utility dolly at all. Not having a dolly made the move much tougher and inconvenient since I had to get one at the destination. Very disappointing that nothing was in the truck to start and completely unacceptable that they didn't gave something at all and made no attempt to fix it or credit it

I'm thankful I found this location that had a 15' truck and an appliance dolly. LaToya was incredibly sweet and helpful and calming. I'll just go straight to this location next time

Bayley RInside of the cab part STUNK. Im not even sure what the smell was. Sour wet fabric comes to mind that set in milk. It needed to be swept out and I did when I got it to the house. When renting. There was trouble getting logged in to system by the uhaul place. I was patient and eventually had to help. Man was nice. Then he had me sign paperwork then he took me to the truck. He told me it had 7/8 of a tank of gas in it. However I told him that it didnt. It was 3/4 full. I also said i dont know what 7/8 of something is but it's setting on 3/4 Meaning 1/4 was gone. He said ok and I drove off. That was it. I went 8 miles in truck and put 1 gallon of gas back in it thinking that was enough. The mark on the truck never moved from 3/4 but i did it anyway. So i return the truck and there is another guy operating the desk. He went immediately and checked the truck. Came back inside and told me thAt owed gas. I showed him my receipt and told him about the day before. He insisted that I had used the gas. I argued with him about only going 8 miles. I told him there was no way. It was on 3/4 when i left. I looked over and pointed to the other man. He never looked up. They are crazy. They didn't charge me for it but added some other crazy charge. I paid more than I expected to use it for 3 hours. 65.26. Was balance they told me. My Card was charged 78,65 from Compass storage. My End receipt is still showing 7/8 on fuel level so I guess they will try to get someone else. Beware.

David DI went to the location on Friday to confirm my rental for Saturday. A man named Jim was there on Saturday and unfortunately he was new and did not know what he was doing my husband was the one who was at the facility and it was a very bad and difficult experience. I called and reported it to customer service because the gentleman needs training it was an unfortunate experience with this one inexperienced employees.

RICHARD TThe truck passenger mirror was broken and unusable. It could not be adjusted and it couldn't be tightened because the screw was stripped. This indicates that it has been a problem for some time. I was driving alone and I had zero visibility to my rear and right side of the truck. I had to drive out of my way to find a place that I could safely change lanes and turn right. I took the truck back and rented another truck from a different location the same day.

Jacque YReserved a cargo van 1 mile from my house. Got a phone call stating the van was not available at that location, and they moved it to one 7 miles from our house. On the day of pick-up, I received a text that my van reservation was NOW located 20 miles from my house. While the staff were nice enough, the van was beat up. Dents, major scratches, a chip out of the windshield... If I had known on the front end that I'd have to drive 20 miles to/from the location for the van, I would have rented from Enterprise.
Tracy EWe booked a truck at Compass Self Storage - 3 weeks before our move. The day before our move, U-Haul texted that our truck would be at Sell & Trade. Went to that location and truck was there with a lock on back door (not given a combination or notice it would be locked), business was closed with sign on door stating closed for renovation. Called phone listed on door and got an answering machine - left name & number and never heard from them. Later that day, we noticed Compass had a truck in their yard and Jennifer at Compass Self Storage allowed me to cancel first reservation and rent truck at Compass to complete my move. Jennifer was fantastic going out of her way to make our move go great. She gets 5 stars in our opinion.

WILLIAM VDue to location of this particular Uhaul site it is a busy center on a corner lot of one of the main intersections in an ever growing city. This makes it a little more dangerous to enter and exit. However, it maintains a courteous and helpful staff at each point as I have consistently used this location.
Patricia EThank you for requesting feedback. Two points that might be improved upon at least in my experience. The quotes cost of the rental proved to be less than what I actually paid for the rental. The fuel on the contract read half a tank when in reality it was less than half a tank. I returned the equipment with more than half a tank and there was no mention of a credit. Not a hige deal but if I brought the equipment back with the amount of fuel in the equipment that I received I guarantee I would have been penalized. Not cool.
