This rental was the worst of worst to rent from this storage unit place. The uhaul was the only one available the check engine was on as well and I could not even see out the windows and the inside was a completely disaster and the visors were broke and it was tho only choice I had. I barely made it to my destination in which I let uhaul know the situation and would report it to his supervisor. He asked me if I needed help but said no but would like some discount on renting this junk and not being maintained since the check engine light was on when I left. I brought it back cleaned and even armored wiped inside the seats and washed all windows and completly detailed the uhaul before dropping it off knowing I was gonna get some discount as per the uhaul agent had said. And yet after doing all this I got nothing but extra charges aim disputing here with

The person at the front desk was not helpful, telling us that what we booked online was wrong. Then proceeded to charge us more for a dolly that we did not ask for but was the only one she had available (not our problem) after paying more for the appliance dolly, it didn't come with the straps that were supposed to be included. She wasn't even there when we arrived to drop off the vehicle. The truck was extremely dirty and we could not even see out of the windshield if the sun hit it, it was covered in dirt and sap. when the original pictures looked much cleaner and newer. We had to go to one location to pick up the dolly and then a different location to pick up the truck, which, when you're moving is highly inconvenient. We will not be coming back to this location and I would not recommend anyone else use it. The U-Haul dealer at the cottonwood cool storage is obviously new at this or doesn't really care about her customer experience... disappointing at best.

Mikaela and Edward are absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable, and customer oriented. They go the extra yard but I honestly think they'd believe they're just doing their job.

It was a nightmare! Once I stopped trying to rent the van via website & app, all the while on the phone with uhaul for over 30 minutes, I get informed you can NOT pick up via website & app, you have to go a block down, which I walked, got helped by a very nice lady, who gave me the keybox code, walked back to the van & finally got on the road. While all this happened, the movers were waiting at the house. As I said, it was an utter nightmare, in 100°+ Temps, on top of everything. Again, COMPLETE & UTTER NIGHTMARE! :-( Dawn M Cloutier

Lock was hard to open. Not sure if code letters should be up, down or in the middle of the line. Had difficulty with privacy settings on phone that was easily remedied when customer service was available. This was our first time for 24/7 but the system was very easy and convenient to use. We are not used to doing business this way but will be better next time after seeing how things work.

Th lady who helped me get the truck and get going hadn’t finished logging fuel and miles from the previous renter, so I’m having to go through customer service to HOPEFULLY get reimbursed.

The furniture dolly we rented was cracked, so we didn't use it and the store was closed by the time we noticed it. I will speak to the manager when she returns to work, so the charge can be taken off, but everything else was good. Would recommen friends and family.

The two agents could not work with UHaul to turn in the truck. We waited 40 minutes for nothing. Hire some people or simply allow drop off.

Charging 50 dollars because the rental was returned 25 minutes late is absolutely absurd, You didn't credit me for the extra gas in the tank when it was returned.

There was no drop box for the key although the code to the gate worked. They have two locations which may be the mixup.

Drop off was not a good experience. Used the app and had no idea all the photos we would have to take. Just 2 parking spots at the location. Very dark.

I had a reservation for a10' truck. Upon arrival was told that "the 10' truck is broken and being worked on". As it was our only day this week to move we had to get a 15' truck at an additional price. No apology, no offer of renting it to us at the same price as the 10' we had a reservation for. The 15' was filthy with empty drink cans, chip bags, and dog treat bags in the passenger cabin. I would only recommend this location if it was the last place someone could get a Uhaul in Cottonwood or the Verde Valley.

I reserved a truck and 2 dollys 10 days in advance. When I arrived I was re-directed to another site that was not open for 2 hours to pick up the truck I had reserved. After waiting the 2 hours I arrived at the 2nd location. I was told the truck was at a 3rd location, and the man could not find any dollys. As he was readying to go to the truck location, he remarked as he put on his red, MAGA Trump ball cap that he had such good ideas because he was a Trump supporter and that any liberal democrats would never be so smart as him! He then proceeded to look in vain for the dollys I reserved, left me locked behind a gate while he drove around having good ideas and then told me that I would have to drive across town in the truck to look for dollys at another location. His disparaging words towards my political affiliation, coupled with the fact he was wearing a Trump hat at work was shocking and rude!! His comments made me angry, and his incompetence proved he was indeed a Trump supporter. I will drive to Flagstaff before I ever rent a vehicle from that moron!!!!

Returned to location but was told to return another location nearby. Staff was excellent but the location is very tight when returning truck. After checking in had to back out onto road which made us nervous. I was following hubby and it was very tight. All in all, it was a good experience with you U-haul....

Originally had a truck reserved in Flagstaff. They called afternoon before to tell us that despite a reservation confirmation, there was no truck. No offer to help. This location in Cottonwood, upon realizing they didn't have our truck, called customers for return times and then called UHaul and got us a replacement. The customer service at Cottonwood Cool Storage was outstanding. Overall, UHaul needs a better process for managing reservations. We could have been in real trouble with no truck to move our belongings on our daughters last day of residence. Not honoring confirmed reservations is just unacceptable for a company as large as UHaul.

The only frustration was having a separate site that you had to pick up and drop off at, made matters a little confusing.

This was a horrible experience, you guys probably need to retrain your phone reps because every piece of information I was given until the actual pick up day was wrong. I was told on the phone that I could keep the truck for the quoted price for two days and 136 miles. At check out we were charged for 18 miles of overage because the allowed milage was 118 and not 136. Also, I was quoted 170 something dollars and asked if that included everything because I was reserving this truck for my grandmas move and she needed to know how much she was paying. But at pick up I was charged $330 for insurance, deposits, tax and some other bs. It's one thing to be off by $20 or $30 but but $160 is too much to surprise a customer with. Not to mention when we went to get the truck we were sent to a different location with two different codes to a gate and a lock box where the keys were not and had to search thr truck for the keys. All around unprofessional and bad customer service. I'll never use uhaul again just because of the total lack of knowledge and professionalism.

Parking is a bit short so you may wish to call them asking where to park 26 footers.

The windshield was in need of a good wash when I picked it up. The vehicle was ok for a quick local move, but I wouldn't want to use it for a long distance move.

The delivery location was fine, but your logistics department are IDIOTS. How could you send me to a location where they don't accept tow equipment? The manager at this location managed to get Discount Storage to take the equipment, but that caused me frustration and delays. Get your act together or I will never recommend Uhaul again.

Aaron and Stacey were very helpful when dropping off. They made the drop off so easy and also took care of some items I forgot in the store. Would recommend their storage and uhaul rental to anybody.

We got a brand new truck and the staff was so helpful! The truck was there waiting for me at 9 am when the office opened and I would recommend this place to anyone!

It would be better if the gas tank were already filled rather than estimating its level. It would save time at pickup & guesswork at the end of the trip.

Office had moved location in November but information supplied by U-Haul still showed old address. After reaching supplied address a tricky reverse out onto a busy road was then required. After reaching the new location there was no staff member in attendance and I had to wait for a staff member to return. There is no excuse for this lack of customer service. Very poor.

The drop off location was not clear as to where to leave the truck. They have two different locations. the first locations said to go to the location down the street however there was no night drop for the key. It was very confusing but it as sorted out in the morning.

I definitely would recommend this place to do business with. Stacey, Aron, and Nicole were all very very helpful with our 2 moves and rental storage till we closed on out new home. NOW BEWARE I was parking my rental truck unit at a local motel to sleep and unload in the a.m. I was approached by another U-Haul dealer (AZ Postal Shipping) that I had to turn my truck into him as soon as I emptied it. I called my rental yard and U-Haul dealer (above) and they apologized for this person and said to bring the truck to them as my rental agreement stated. I reported this to the area supervisor in Phoenix Az.

The office smelled like animals. A good shampoo and fresh paint would help. Aside from this, the service was excellent.
