Truck was dirty in the cab.smelt like cigarrete smoke. Rear compartment was filthy. Cigarette buts and joint ends. And i got charged 25 dollars for not cleaning it.even after i swept out the truck just so i an use it. Check the equipment thoroughly before booking it . Hello, Let me first start by saying that my Uhaul experience was a nightmare. I had booked a 26' truck for June 25th, 2022. I got a call on Thursday, apparently to confirm my rental, but as I was packing, I missed the call. There was no voicemail left. When I called the number back it was after hours and no answer. THe next morning, Friday the 24th, I called Uhaul at 7:30am. I was told by the operator that my 26' truck could be picked up in Ramore the next morning by 9:00am. I lived in Sudbury. Ramore is 354 km from my house and 4 hrs away. ONE WAY. How can there possibly be a reasonable expectation that someone who is moving could travel 8 hrs round trip to pick up their truck. That would have required my wife and I to travel in one vehicle up and two vehicles back. a total of over 1000km's for all vehicles combined. That would have eaten up all my allotted KM's before I even packed. Not to mention that I have 8 hrs of travel to get the truck. I had movers booked to help pack on Saturday (Through UHaul) and movers booked to unpack on Sunday. The only solution that was found was a 15' truck and 12' trailer in Esponola. Again, this was 90 km's away and over an hour travel time. THough I was assured extra km's, the problem was the extra Km's did not allow for me to make more than one trip to Barrie and back from Sudbury. I called customer service and they gave me 1042 Km's for the duration of the rental. The problem is I have to make multiple trips, fill up the truck twice, because my original truck was not available. I was not able to get everything in one trip because the truck and trailer were not as high as the truck I rented. Consequently my time and fuel costs were doubled. Not to mention I still have to make two extra trips with my own trailer and vehicle because of this issue. My problem is that I had booked this truck well in advance. I dealt directly with a representative and booked the movers at the same time. I was assured that the truck would be there because I had heard horror stories. How can UHaul facilitate the contract of movers to pack and unpack a truck but cannot provide the truck. The whole process of moving is contingent on tight time frames. Not having the truck throws the entire process into disarray. I held up my end of the bargain and went above and beyond to ensure that the booking was down well in advance. Having a truck 4 hrs away is not fulfilling your end of the contract. When I returned the truck I was told I was owed $7 in extra mileage. THis is ridiculous. THe attendant said not to worry after I explained all of this and that he would put a note on my file. But alas, I now have an invoice for extra mileage. I need this amount waived and taken off my record. I would not have needed extra mileage if Uhaul had provided the equipment that I had booked in the first place. I also had to drive 90 Km's to get the truck I did receive so that 90km's should be deducted from my total. I would also like an apology from UHaul and some acknowledgement that this system is broken and simply does not work. Poor customer service. Rental unit was not returned on time and therefore not available for pick up for our reservation. The person working didn't offer any substitutionsâ€¦ told us to come back later and it may be ready. Chose to wait, received rental 1,5 hours late And his humour was not appreciated.Susan M.
A completely horrendous experience, the truck was over 8 hours late, which I feel I was extremely patient about. What was disgusting was the customer service from this location. To say he was rude and completely unaccommodating doesn't even scratch the surface of describing the male that handled the customer service for our reservation. I was quite literally brought to tears by his behaviour. I've never in my life experienced such poor customer service. Also, I did attempt to quietly handle this but the link to the customer complaint via email just kept giving me an error code. I will absolutely avoid the divine logistics location at all costs in the future!Ryan G.

Ensure equipment is ready for customers ahead of time. I was told the truck I booked was not available to me and VERY little compensation offered for the inconvenience. Poor customer service overall.Bracken U.
Never even opened the truck. Plans changed so it never left the lot. I was charged mileage I never put on. Also I opted for no insurance, I was charged for it. Tried calling the location but their number is not in service. They are not reputable and they charged incorrectly. I email custoservice as well but no response from them either. I think this will go the Mastercard Freud squad. Run the other way from this locatiomViktor R.

I booked through the mobile app for mobile pickup; in spite of receiving a confirmation, I was not registered when I arrived at the location.. in stead of confirming my details the attendant booked a separate booking and charged me $15 for protection I declined on my mobile booking. The truck did it have a working radio and the air conditioning was poor as well. The truck also had a â€œneeds service lightâ€ on for the traction control. This has. It been the norm for service at other U-Haul locations as I have used this service several times in the past couple of months. So this will have me looking at other rental companies. So very disappointed to get a poor vehicle and further to be charged for items I did not ask for and explain requested NOT to have.Ken W.

All was good, this rental took place during the ROGERs failure and as such was unable to complete the return process via the internet. I called customer service and advised that I had taken all pictures manually and a walk-around video and a video of dropping the keys to the office which all had full time-stamp embedded. The rep I talked to was very helpful and changed a problem to a resolved solution !!! I would most certainly recommend U-Haul to my friends and business associates.Donald S.

The gentleman I was dealing with he phoned right at 3:05 pm to see if I was showing up, pick up Time for me was 3:15pm, then told me , that cause was late!! He was rude pushy, and seem time more interested that he needed to be somewhere and we were holding him up.Alan W.

We rented a 10 ft truck it was very dirty sand everywhere, garbage, receipts, beer bottle cap and there was no windsheild washer in it at all and was empty. When we started it up it said service stabilitytrak. After we returned the truck i called the first time, i was told to call back next morning, which i had done like i was asked and i was told the fellow running this location was busy with other customers which is understandable he would call me right back. Which he never did at all. I proceeded to try to call him back in the day couple times and he never answered any of those times. However, I did call customer service as i was getting no response from the bradford street dealer and they did fix my issue with the cleaning fee and i was told they would forward the other concerns to the area manager to look into. I would not recommend this location for your rental as it was not a good experience for us. I have used Uhaul services many times over the years and i have never experienced the issues i have had with this bradford location ever.Laura H.
They gave us 2 uhauls over the span of 2 visits . The first day vehicle was an hour late with vegetable oil spilled in the back and we had to wait for cleaning . Second day the vehicle was not available. They spent an hour trying to locate one for us and finally found one at another location . The contract we then signed for that vehicle we got late evening was supposed to be back at 5pm next day - the paperwork stated . Then we were told we had to return it by 9 am the next day instead as they made a mistake . My husband had to rush and unload the last load by himself that morning because they were calling for their truck back even though the signed documents and text messages I received said 5pm . Horrible experience with this moving company- will not ever use again or recommend. I rented the first vehicle over 2 months in advance and they still had issues and reduced my dolly and furniture pad order several times also with no other options for me . I had only 2 dolly's I needed . Awful.Jason D.

Although the pick and drop off location experiences were acceptable, the experience with head office has not been a good one. We ordered a large truck weeks in advance and when moving day arrived the truck was significantly smaller and pick up location was quite far away. The km were adjusted to accommodate the pick up but this did not help us as we then needed to make 2 trips to take our belongings to the new place resulting in extra gasoline costs not to mention the time spent on the road (2 hours each) so a move that should have been completed in one trip/one load took 2 trips. We were very disappointed that when the truck was booked, options were not provided so that we would sure to have the truck size originally requested for a one way move.anne J.

The person at this location seemed upset or annoyed as he was on the phone with another customer when I arrived. I tried to explain that I wanted a flat rate as I have done previously and he refused to give me a flat rate as he said someone at the "Head Office" had to offer me that rate. Called Uhaul customer 3 times and was transferred 3 times and got cut off twice. Overall my experience was horrible from making reservations and to the pick up location. Not happy as I have ordered 3 trucks in the last few months and never had this problem. I hope Uhaul will compensate me for my troubles as I was not happy with the service.STEVE D.
Arrived at the office approx 10 mins before my scheduled pickup time. Door was locked and no one answered when I knocked. I called the number on the sign on the door but there was no answer and the voicemail box was full and would not accept messages. I looked around the building and couldn't see anyone. I knocked again (more persistently this time) and someone came and answered the door. When I went inside, there was no other door into the office, so she had to be there when I first arrived. Vehicle I rented was ok, except the box smelled awful - like the worst gym locker room smell you could imagine.Tim H.
I'm not sure why but I always waive the insurance but somehow it's always added to my bill. I'd like this credited- and it's not just this location that does it. If I wanted the insurance I would've selected it during my reservation and online check in.Dan D.
A few things: 1: When u have a customer on the phone giving u information. Don't put them on hold just to deal with a customer in the office and than hang up on them without saying anything. If u can't take care of both customers in ur office and on the phone at the same time. Than get someone to deal with customers on the phone and another person to deal with in person clients at ur office. Weather on the phone or in person, both customers deserve to be treated with respect. Neither should take priority over the other. 2: Don't say u except Visa Debit on the phone one day and than when someone comes to get the rental truck turn around and say u only except credit cards and not Visa Debit. There is no reason ur company can't do both for it's customers cause not every person in the world owns a credit card. Didn't appreciate the dis-respect myself and my family were treated to while using ur rental truck office. Learn to show respect to ur customers the kind of respect u would expect someone to show u if u were a customer.Bonnie G.

When equipment is not available or hasn't been returned by the previous customer for your rental, communication would be helpful. We were left standing around waiting for over an hour with absolutely no information, and the gentleman who appeared to be in charge left to go to another location without so much as a word as to what was happening. The only thing that saved our rental is another custober returning his trailer a day early, otherwise we would probably still be standing around waiting without any updates and unable to make our move. We have always rented from Uhaul, not anymore. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. This was absolutely the worst experience and the worst run location I have ever dealt with.RICHARD F.

The location for pickup was changed 2 days before pickup which was a possibility but with short notice was a minor inconvenience. Upon arrival the drop off location was changed as well making it a major pain as it added travel and other costs and multiple hours which were unexpected. The associate was nice which would have been a pleasant experience to deal with him and the only reason the experience was not rated â€œpoorâ€. Overall though I was unhappy and inconvenienced multiple times with this rental.Tyler S.
There was no one there. The key drop box was stuffed with mail and not easy to put the key in. While it is convenient to be able to do the returns online, it is not convenient for people who may not have a cell phone or use those devices easily. Some people like in-person contact. We had selected this return location at the time of booking and on the day of return realized that it had been switched to another location and had to call to have it changed. Having said this, again, while it is convenient to book online, the website is glitchy and not easy to use. And the online check-in (for pickup) requires that you agree to have read the truck manual (which was not available) and also to agree that you had received an email confirming state of vehicle, gas level and mileage- but that email is not received until the truck is picked up. I had to "agree" that I had received the email, in order to process the check-in, even though the email had not been received- and even though i could not see/download the truck manual. That needs to be fixed. Having said all that, the 2 customer service people I spoke with (wherever they were), were very helpful and able to switch the return location. Still, it would be better/nicer to be able to speak with someone in the actual locations.Pedro G.

Your clerk was on the phone with someone the whole time and it wasn't business related. The trailer I rented had a light out and the wire had corrosion on it. This meant the left brake light/turn signal wasn't lighting up (which you can get ticketed for) and she didn't seem to care and seemed more interested with whoever was on the phone. I only come here because it's the closest U-haul.James T.
