Be more transparent in letting people k ow what you are willing them for and tell them up front what the charges are.. also when returning the trucks.. have the rep go out and take the pic of the mileage. Also refunds should be issued instantly, not 4 days after the rental is complete. I wasn't impressed with thos location

The mobile check in was non existent. I was forced to go int the store and do the whole registration over again. The back of the truck was muddy. There was a dolly and cart in the back that was not requested and got in the way. Other than that everything was fine

I didnt get truck till 6 PM and had to still have truck by 1 pm the next day and paid for 24hr use dont think that totally fair at the full price

I had a 6hr time slot and was given 4hrs. The employee was rude and wasted 40mins of my move time by serving customers at the hasty market drive-thru and counter. I went to pick up the truck for 10am and wasn't even handed keys until 10:30am. It ruined my moving plans. I'm extremely disappointed with the service. Will not use again if ever I need a moving truck. $100 for a truck that stalled in traffic and was quoted at $50 is absurd. The gas alone was ridiculous for the three short trips we made.

This was a nice location, and service was very good. It was just the truck itself was not cleaned, the floorboards were filthy with dried dirt and the door panel had candy wrappers stuffed in it. Overall though, one of the more pleasant locations to visit, and nice to have the gas station right at the site to fill up at end of job.

When we arrived the clerk was rude, served someone who was behind us in line causing us to wait longer. Then he said he didn't have the truck we booked. This resulted in us having to take a smaller truck, and make multiple trips. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience and once we finally got our keys and went to the truck we had to take instead, it was not cleaned. Smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, there was some garbage and dog (or cat) hair everywhere. We had to go in and he gave us keys to another truck. Overall there was no display of adequate customer service. Moving is stressful as it is, and dealing with this locations mishap was a dent in the day.

I had issues with this location terrible customer service. I was told two days before my move that my truck was out for repairs and I'd have to go to st Catherine's. And pay for all these extra km for my small in town move. I called he's office office and was told my truck was already back at location. I called back and they were rude to me. Eventually I got my truck at my location but I don't know what kind of scam location was trying to pull saying my truck would be gone when it came back in a hr

Terrible location to rent from, owner is rude and abrupt and demands that you DO NOT park your vehicle on his property when renting. You must park across a busy 4 lane road in a Tim Hortons parking lot or next door in a plaza, neither of which he does not own. His reasoning is its not covered under his insurance

Back door didn't close and we had to wait over three hours for someone to fix it .Owner of Hasty mart said he was too short to fix it and he said we just had to turn a knob on top. which wasn't there. Will not go there again.

I find it hard to believe that I used 17 liters of gasoline to drive less than 25 miles and when I question that the agent just fluffed it off that the trucks don't get great milage

The owner cares more for his variety store than the u haul part of the business. Left me to go and serve a customer on the variety store side.

The parking lot is tight for a large truck and the owner after returning the truck wanted it backed into a tight parking spot. A larger parking lot with drive through spots would be more helpful to more inexperienced drivers. The location is nice that a gas station is attached. However the truck was picked up with under 1/2 tank of gas, i prefer to pick up rentals full and return full.

Vehicle I reserved online was not available. I thought a reservation meant the vehicle was held! I was offered a bigger vehicle at the same price, which was fine! Staff at Hasty Market location were very friendly and helpful with explanations. Really nice people, great to deal with. Would use this location again!

Very very rude. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They have ZERO customer service skills. No clear parking spots. So when I parked near the other trucks so I could process the return, the associate raised his voice asking "bro, why did you park here of all places?". I have absolutely never encountered customer service like that. Calling customers "bro", is in now way professional. A complaint has been filed and I look forward to speaking to Uhal rep about my full experience. I will also be contacting head office and Better Bureau Business.

Make sure the vehicle is actually clean, it was absolutely disgusting. Had to sweep it out before putting anything in there. No pads for furniture, the cart was loose and just in the way.

Booked the truck for 24h, pick up 8pm and drop off 8pm next day so we could get an early start. Received booking confirmation and printed it off well in advance. Upon pick up I was told we only had the truck until 3pm as it was changed by them on the online login because “people don't beet the truck that long” and they booked it to someone else for the afternoon! No email or phone notification ahead of time to tell me of this change, so had to move some in the middle of the night so we would be able to get it back by 3pm. Unacceptable. I Book a time frame in advance for a reason.

This location needs covid protection to be put in place. Ie: attendant sometimes wears no mask, no plexiglass between customer and attendant and doesn't enforce use of masks by customers

Customer service at this location was horrible. The salesperson who was assisting me with my rental continually walked away helping other people who were purchasing goods in the convenience store section. As there was only one person working in the entire store. I kept being ignored. My rental truck wasn't available for my reserved time. The previous customer hadn't returned it yet. I was told by the salesperson to take another truck (not a similar one to what I reseved) which has to be returned 2 hours earlier than my reserved time or wait an additional 2 hours for a truck similar to the one I reserved to be returned. The salesperson changed my paperwork to show the other truck I was given, it had a different price rate then the one I reserved. When I asked the salesperson to come outside to assist me in inspecting the truck before I left as there was existing damage. I was told not to worry about it because I took out extra damage insurance. I was told to accept all the pictures that came up in my email as ok or else I wouldn't be allowed to take the truck. When I returned the truck at the requested time another salesperson who.was working (not the same.as earlier) was rude and disrespectful when I explained what happened earlier. She finally agreed to charge me the mileage for the truck that I would have used if my reserved one was available instead of the one I was forced to take. I would never recommend using this location to any one!

1. Booked the truck several weeks before moving date, for Aug 1st 9 am. Called about 5 days before moving date to confirm, Niagara street ignored my question, booked me a new truck for 3:15 and said “the truck people will be contacting you”. Man was very short, rude and dismissive. 2. Called same city location, Hagar st. This man was helpful, but still very short and rude. Confirmed the earliest time available was 3:15. 3. Called Niagara street back for answers, He gave me some sort of customer service number to call. 4. Called the number provided, a lady kept on repeating herself “sir, I have nothing from you here prior to today, you must've called the wrong number”. No matter what I said, this lady kept repeating this over and over. No genuine apology, no hint of sympathy, just AGAIN rude and dismissive. At this point, I've accepted 3:15 is my only option. 5. August 1st comes, after arranging about 8 people from different cities to come help move, while I'm on my way to get the truck, I call them to confirm, and they tell me the truck is at the Niagara street location, and will not be ready until 4:30. Forcing me to tell all my friends to sit and wait. 6. Finally get the truck, complete the move and return. The man questions whether or not I filled the gas tank, despite the meter being right in front of his face, and then tells me I have to back up the truck in this tiny corner of the property, between a fence and a building. I finally return the key, and leave. Overall, VERY VERY poor experience. I have rented from u-haul in the past and have not had an issue.

I had originally booked a 27 foot truck to be picked up on Hagar St. In Welland. I received an email a few days before my scheduled pickup that a 27 ft truck was not available in Welland and that I would have to go to Dunville to pick up a 27 ft truck. I called uhaul and made arrangements for a smaller truck that was available in Welland. I think it is important to provide your customers with what was promised/ booked.

Windshield washer fluid not working after it was filled ( pump ). Truck needs a tune up not running very well.

Upon return I immediately took the truck the wash station on site the wash the truck bed. Before I could finish an employee was waiting for me. I felt rushed. He wanted the milage reading. I had time still available on the clock to wash. I asked the attendant if he was satisfied. He said yes and asked me to park the truck (I still needed to fill it and as the attendant, and had a non response as he walked away). I did as I was told and when I walked in it was then requested that fill the truck. No problem I replied I was just about to do that but you asked me to park. So I filled the truck. The attendant then retuned and asked me to clean a bit of mud out on the interior floor. There was no floor mats, and I will also add that the truck dash was reading it was due for an oil change. I used the squeegee and some water to clean the mud out. It was a down pour so, the mud was unavoidable. The truck floors were now cleaner then when I recieved the truck. The attendant then came out and with out an inspection insisted I return to the wash station and power wash the interior. I insisted it was cleaner then when recieved, and replied if you insist, but will not be held responsible for damages that maybe caused by pressure washing the interior. He responded that it must be done to avoid a 30 dollar cleaning fee. I did as requested. A women was now parked where they would have liked the truck positioned, back in I went to then be told to return the truck to the original spot. Attendant asked the women to move. Over all poor experience. Will likely never use this location again. All other experience with U haul have be wonderful. Thank you for your service. Denise Manintveld

There were inconsistencies from the information given online to the person working at this location. We ended up calling customer service and they clarified that what we read online was correct and this man was misinformed. However, I will say that the person working was very friendly and nice during our pickup.
