I called to find out if Sunday was okay for my return. The response I got was curt, "Why Not?" They could have provided information that ended up being important, such as "There will be nobody there when you arrive, so proceed by following the online instructions." Also, indicate where in this tow-yard you would like me to park the truck, where it will be safe from vandals since the back was unlocked and there was a furniture dolly inside.

Brandon LHeston Hauling does not allow mobile check in as advertised and opens at 8 am (even though we were able to schedule a 7 am pick up online). Please update your system so people aren't delayed in moving as we were.

Amelia SWe should not have to travel to U.S. to pick up truck, especially when we booked 2 months in advance and were notified the afternoon before that we had no truck. I had to drop everything to go get this truck terrible service and we will pass this on to everyone we know to avoid your company and lack of customer service.

jaskaran pYou walk into their office and the smell of cigarette smoke is overwhelming. Such an unprofessional environment. I almost left. I will not go back there if its the only local place offered to pick up my reserved uhaul truck.

Trever SHello. I was told by Heston Hauling uhaul representative to put same amount of gas back in that reflects initial gas reading. Gas gauge reflected FULL tank upon departure but after I refueled it I realized that truck was NOT fully refueled prior to my use. Either way, I refueled it with more gas than I should have and Heston Hauling seems to have charged me even more for their own refueling. So besides me spending my own $24,87 for gas, Heston hauling is attaching more than $33,8 refueling surcharge. Please reverse this and $14 insurance charge immediately. I have receipts and pictures that reflect proof of this. I never chose $14 insurance protection, not online nor in person at Heston Hauling. Also, truck was dirty and the box included thrown about blankets, dolly and a creeper but it was a non issue due to me being in time crunch.

I was charged for 6 gallons of gas and the service fee to do this job which more than doubled my original price going from about $70-80 to about $170. Customer service was ok but some of them were rude, which makes me not to return for any other service needs, thank you.
Troy GThey have charged me RFEPEATEDLY for IN_TOWN rates. I go online and make the reservation and they retake my information and change the rates to 3x the quoted form online.
Bill WFirst truck was wrong truck, second truck had tranny light on was told had no other truck and U-Haul would take care of hotel and such when I broke down. That same truck had a 6in cut in gas tank wasting 100 dollars in gas and putting me in danger.
Tanya CDoors were locked when I got there and the people inside didn't bother to look up. Had to deal with puddles parking the uhaul at night, and there was no lighting so parking was harder than it needed to be.

Customer service and common human decency goes a long way. Also they are reporting fuel levels inaccurately. 3/4 of a tank and a tad over 1/2 are a big difference in a 26' truck.

Charles FGreat service. Appreciated the bigger 20 foot truck was available as they are hard to find. The confusion was not through Heston, but the varying and conflicting messages and even inaccurate reservation I received from the central number, and thankfully I followed up with the Lyman location and learned they did not have the size truck I was promised by Central. I got good local help though from Barrett Rd. UHaul who to contact, so both your office and Barrett deserve a round of applause.
Debra CI had checked in online but everything had to be done again at the location. We had struggles trying to upload copies of our driver's license. The office smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The lady was very friendly.

Dean CI had to wait while several phone calls were answered. The truck had not been checked in when it was returned. and then I had to wait while it was cleaned and dozens of blankets were folded.
Elynn LThe lady we dropped off the truck to was very friendly. At 8pm on a Saturday Halloween night this was a great unexpected surprise.
GEORGE NCouple items: the driveway was very dark and there was nothing indicating that this was a uhaul drop off until we pulled up to the building. This was the first time coming to this location and we dropped the truck off at night. Pulling into the driveway we were very nervous and unsure if this was the correct location.
Ryan SNot really set up as a full on uhaul business. Very busy with lots of things going on for other aspects of their business. Very friendly folks and thing to do their best with a lot going on, but I was not provided the dolly or moving blankets requested and check in took quite a long time, partly due to my having no internet service and it needing to be done over the internet. I was grateful to be able to get a vehicle on short notice though, so....

carlos GThankful we got a very new truck for our cross country move. It operated well and the air conditioning was good.
Stephanie SThis multi state move was the most horrible experience I have ever had.( Heston's did a good job with what they had) However after flying from California to Seattle. I called to confirm that the truck was where we had confirmation, and I was told they had moved the location from Bellingham to Fernadale. I called Ferndale it was and that company said they had no uhaul trucks and didn't know what I was talking about. After many ,many phone calls I was able to get a truck at Hestons who did not have the 2 dolly's I paid for or the blankets and only had 1/4 tank of gas. While I was told that I should turn the truck in with a 1/4 tank of gas which is nearly impossible to do. Never in my life have I experienced so much incompetence and I will never use Uhaul again or refer it when asked
Don BThe location was so smelly from cigarettes!!!! I immediately became nauseous and had a headache. The inside was horrific, I had to try to communicate with the staff from outside a door I held open. I was there for way over an hour, I should mention I was the only person there. We left after 1. I rented a box truck. She said 12 hours was what I would be down for. After I left I recieved an email saying truck was due back at 545. They were nice people but slow and, apparently, non compliant with the no smoking law.

Gerald SUpon pick up a uhaul rep was not thereat pick up time. Arrive at 9am and no one for uhaul had arrived when we left at 9:30. If we hadn't reserved on line no one would have been able to help us. Heston Hauling employees were very accommodating and finally got the district rep on the phone to assist us. The return day the uhaul rep arrive at 9:05 which was much better than the day before. Everyone was very friendly and apologetic for the delays.

Ralph EGreat at taking care of a guest who was totally mishandled on the busiest weekend of the month. The front counter staff did an excellent job of trying to fix the already challenging gong changes to the reservation
Richard BI arrived to pick up our uhaul and there was no one there who could rent us our truck at the time we requested which was 8am because of this we missed our appointment to board our cat for our move and we sat there for two hours until someone finally arrived to rent us the truck. The tow truck driver on duty that morning was very kind and apologetic and the person who finally showed up to rent us the truck was also very kind and apologetic but the whole experience cost us time and money and we had to find another place for our pet day of which just added to the stress of moving. I would not recommend renting a uhaul again to any friends. I would try another truck rental company in the future.
Vanessa RHave them tell you about the tools of the truck. Like where the haul button in the stick. How the engine down shifted every time you stepped on the breaks, it made the engine whine so loud I thought it might break. your customers are not professional drivers and should be told about what to expect, especially on cross country drives!!!
