I completed the on-line check-in including uploading my license. It has worked at other UHaul locations but not here - was told this location was a "dealer" so different. There was only one person working so the location was well under staffed. The van that was available had a sizable crack across the driver's view which made it difficult to see at high sun with the reflections and at night due to headlights of other cars. While I had to extend several times so that I could move into my home, I was eager to get the truck back!YOLANDA S.

Uhaul after hours customer service is HORRIBLE. I sat on hold for 35 min due to the app over charging me during return. Was told by the lady not to complete the return online and she would make a note in my contract of my issues/ returned on time and I would get a call the following day from the location. I never got a call so stopped by. The girl at the counter(was nice) but said there was no notes in my contract and I should have been charged 200 $for not checking the truck back in. After speaking to the location directly I got everything sorted but you guys need to get your after hours customer service in check. It makes me not ever want to use or recommend uhaul ever again. I scheduled with one location. They had to change it, because the vehicle I needed was not available. I show up to the new location and they are closed. Supposed to open at 7:00am and it was 9:30. Other people were trying to drop off trucks. No one there. It also appears as though the vehicle I needed also was not at this location. They switch me to my third location. He called and confirmed that they were open and had what I needed. When I show up 10 minutes later they have no power and trying to get the truck took an extended period of time, but finally got done.Jeffrey C.
The sales associate at the front desk was very unprofessional, upon my arrival she was on the phone with a friend talking about personal problems, this was not a business call. I was not provided any paperwork to sign as she stated while still on the phon â€œMy printer doesn't work I'll email youâ€ . When it came time to inspect the equipment she finally got off the phone and took us out and pointed out our equipment which was just fine. The equipment functioned exactly as planned and overall I'm satisfied with Uhaul not so much the associate at the location. I will send kudos out to the lady who called me to confirm my reservation she was super helpful and very professional.Roderick H.

The two ladies working when I picked up and (the one) when I returned were AMAZING. Professional, quick and efficient and very nice. They had the truck pulled around near the door so I didn't have to be out in the rain a long time. Paperwork was accurate and explained well and everything took less than 5 mins. 1) Give options to check in early and get approved for the ride. Although the approval process was fast, it could save some time and hassle on the pickup day. 2) Put some short how-to videos for driving a u-haul. For a first-timer like me, it took some time to sort out the handbrakes and shift stick working.Saurabh S.

We had a great experience storing our things at Irving Storage. The facility was always clean. I felt comfortable that there weren't any bugs or anything that could harm our belongings. There were always carts to use and although there were busy days it never felt crowded. The staff is always very friendly. Terry seems to always be there with helpful information and is just all around a great guy. If we ever need storage in Irving again we would definitely go back.Andrea O. | Expérience générale
The truck was awful. The door was hard to close. It popped open while I was driving. The alignment on the truck made it difficult to keep the drawer in the lane, the breaks had to be pushed down hard to shot.FELICIA D.
I had ordered furniture pads with my truck rental. They failed to put them in the truck so my loaders loaded wood furniture without the aid of pads, damaging several pieces. I take part blame for not verifying - trust was misplaced.RICKIE W.

Trailer not clean in back. Had to drop trailer 35 miles from requested drop off location - different city. We were told by a U-Haul rep we had to talk to a regional mgr but unable to. No answer on Kevin's phone no call back.WILLIAM M.

the personnel was nice helpful and apologetic. My unfortunate experience was not fault of the personnel that help me at the Irvine location. They were good people and I would use them again and again and refer a friend. Uhaul wrote me two contracts: â€¢ 835469897 for the rental of a 6x12 trailer from Saturday November 21st , 2020 @ 1pm to Thursday November 26th, 2020 â€¢ 715083-00106774 Reservation was for a second floor storage room to empty the rented Uhaul into My Uhaul experience: â€¢ Picked up trailer on 11.21.2020 at 1pm. Uhaul facility security gate was broken. I had to lend the facility manager tools to take apart the drive gate motor. I then showed the employees how to reset the drive gate and how use the emergency release lever to manual shut and open the drive gate. Fortunately as a contractor I knew where the first responders emergency release lever was. I also was kind enough to give her the part number for the round motor run capacitor ( that went bad) â€¢ The previous renter of my trailer left a paddle lock with no keys on the doors and I had to personally cut the lock in order to gain access to my rental. The dallas facility did not have the proper tools on premise to cut the lock. â€¢ Arrived to Tustin Uhaul 5 hours early only to be told onsite the 2nd floor had no service elevator â€¢ Lastly was overcharged 43,10 $ for a trailer late fee. I arrived at 7 am 11.26.2020, 5 hours before my rental contract expired. I was informed then and only then the second floor had not service elevator. All of your major competitors Cubesmart, Public Storage, A-1 etc. Disclose on the their reservation form and contract whether the location has a service elevator or staircase. This is an essential disclosure factor and violates ADA disclosure requirements as well. I was assured and promised that I may keep the trailer until 7pm Friday and would be credit 25 $for the nonuse of my rented moving blankets ( this was as courtesy for my inconvenience) to make new storage facility arrangements. I was charged for everything plus late fees, I went to Tustin facility on 11.28.2020 and nothing was done. They Said call customer service and file a claim. I called customer service on 11.28.2020 and filed a complaint and claim. I was told to wait three business days, today is the 4th business day and nothing has been done. This email to notify you that I will be contesting the full balance charged with my credit card company for the following reasons: â€¢ 1 hour delay of my time to make your company security drive gate operable â€¢ 2 hour delay of my time to remove the previous customers paddle lock â€¢ 1 hour delay of my time to fill out paperwork and walk the Tustin Storage facility and discover on my own ( I was never told ) there was no service elevator. â€¢ 3 hours delay of my time finding a new storage facility on Thanks Giving â€¢ 2 hours delay of my time driving back to Tustin Uhaul, Calling Uhaul Customer Service, and writing this email. I rush to get my truck return the same day and wasn't told I had till 11 am the next day . This is the worst uhaul dealer Ive ever visited. Totally incompetent staff. Made a reservation online but took them more than an hour to provide me with the keys. They are totally unsure of the process. When renting, they said toll charged will be mailed to address on file. Never received any. Later got an email from uhaul stating that I owe uhaul the tolls plus 11$ admin fee. Ridiculous place to do business with. The old guy at the front desk(I assume he is the owner), is rude and unapologetic for the wait. He got bad attitude and doesn't respect the customer.Naga S.
