Everything was good except I can't figure out why I was charged a cleaning fee of $25. Inside of truck was spotless, outside was sprayed off the day before drop off. The lot to return the truck is filled with mud hole you have to drive through to get there then you charge me to clean the mud from your parking area? I guess next time I will just park it along the road and you guys can drive it through muddy parking area to get back on the lot!

Give more accurate description of vehicle and honor prices. I chose a truck but it was unavailable so I chose a cargo van (it did not say unavailable), but when I picked it up I received a box truck. There was a price difference from what I booked and what I actually received and I had to pay $29.95 instead of $19.95 rental charge.

The website allows customers to reserve vehicles that are not available which creates issues at pick up time. This happened with a reservation in Kodiak, Ak. To mitigate the reservation errors, they (someone from Anchorage, AK) contact you prior to the reservation to let you know what is available and then try to trick the system into giving you the same deal for different equipment. When you pick up the vehicle in Kodiak, they get upset with your custom reservation (special pricing), and try to book you in what’s available at the going rate. I presume the Kodiak location is a franchise, otherwise they wouldn’t be concerned with pricing. I can understand why they would be upset, however it leaves a very bad impression on the customer when you bait and switch. I almost cancelled my reservation out of frustration. Uhaul should either fix their reservation system or honor the custom pricing negotiated with the reservation agents.

You advertise 19.95 a day truck rental. Instead your Anchorage location slipped a new contract deal in on me. When I returned your truck, with 50 miles only and I had it for one day and was charged for two days at $99.00 a day claiming I had drove the truck 300 miles when 50 miles was on the milage meter. Your U haul employee told me I was getting a better deal because the first two hundred miles were free. I called your Anchorage location Oct 30th and they told me they would look into this and get back to me. I haven't heard back since. Does U haul need the money more than I do?

The office was vacant and I had to give my key to someone who worked at the coffee shop next to it they were very nice about it but we didn’t do a rental check out and I’m a little worried that somebody’s going to come back later and say that something was broken on the U-Haul van because I didn’t do a check out

A hugh, great big THANK-YOU to Leonard at Kodiak. I arrived on island without a reservation and equipment availability was limited in late August. Leonard's easy solution for me would have been "Thank you very much but unfortunately we just don't have a vehicle available". Leonard did not do that. Instead he worked with me and shuffled equipment around and got my needs satisfied. My vacation would have been very negatively impacted had he not gone the extra mile for me. Thanks, Leonard.

The passenger door and sliding side door would not and could not be locked... and the key "bob" did NOT work as most near new vehicles with only 21k miles SHOULD function. THIS caused MANY very serious inconviences! We could NOT leave ANYTHING of value in the vehicle overnight! We had to drive 50+ MILES "EXTRA" to find a location to park the VEHICLE where we could park the van next to a WALL-- so no one could take the contents overnight! This was unacceptable. We were NOT advised of this situation beforehand... It caused PERSONAL and financial expenses that a fully functional vehicle would not... I want a full refund! At very least a refund for the 125 MILES that I was charged $123. The vehicle also was returned with MORE fuel than the 1/4 tank that it was in it to begin with... Is this normal? Rent a van with 1/4 tank of gas? Glenhsmith at yahoo. com
