I hired three guys to load a haul van for me, I had asked the guys to be here by 8am. I reserved the van for 8am, not informed that this location doesn't open until 9am. Then at 10:10am the person that handles rentals ended up sending his 13 year old son to process the truck for me. Needless to say that I had to pay workers for two hours for sitting around. THANX UHUAL. THE WORST UHAUL EXPERIENCE EVER!! A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!

Horrible experience. I showed up to the restaurant and no one knew why we were there. Once I explained that we were there to pick up a UHAUL truck, the waitress then called someone else and when they got there they gave me another van than the one I paid for one. The side windows were also broken and it was hard to drive and the tank was not half full, it was at 3/8th so that’s exactly how we returned it. When I was reviewing my receipt I noticed that the Juvenile behind the counter put on the paper that I was to return in 14 hours (9AM the next day) when I told him three times that I need the truck for 24 hours. I had to contact the restaurant and bed the guy to change it back to my original order. After a back and forth the guy changed it to 24hrs. It was horrible as they had no clue what was happening and made multiple mistake. I never go back there again and I don’t recommend for anyone else to go their either.

I have use uhaul before and never had a bad experience but this time it was the worst I had the reservation for 9 didnt leave until 10 when I returned it I wanted to know my total they completely ignore me. Honestly dont think I will use uhual again.

The app it's completely useless at this location. There was actually a discrepancy because the mileage an amount of gas in the car do not add up to my own calculations. The person who had to give me the vehicle had me waiting for over 30 minutes to arrive and pick up the vehicle who is parked in a parking lot off site. This should definitely not be a location

The dealer first gave our truck to another customer. They had to call him to bring it back. After that the system was so slow that it took them 45 mins to complete our pick up. Finally another location processed it and e-mailed the contract. The whole process from the moment we got to the location to driving the van was an hour. Needs a lot of improvement. I can’t tell you what. Please go to this location and see it for yourselves. Moving is already stressful and shouldn’t be made more stressful by U-Haul.

Waited an hour and half to return the truck, when I was told he was five minutes away and arrived 5 minutes before opening 9AM. His administration of this business gives Uhaul a bad name :(

Well the gas that was on the paper was not the same as what was in the van and I was charged 6 bucks and some coin even thou I put 5 dollars In the van service could be a little bit better they have u waiting till there ready also it's a restaurant so the rental guy is busy doing stuff for the restaurant while until customer are waiting that's my feed back

I really think this place could be a little bit faster seems to be a little bit unorganised and also they charge too much for 4 hours I paid $69 for Jess from 12 to about 4:45 which normally the U-Haul down the block I would only pay 50 something bucks and I would have it for 24 hours

Upon my arrival no one greeted me. There were children with no shoes on with their feet on the table. The reason why I’m referencing this is because the pick up location is a restaurant. The person in charged walked right by me and asked a young boy (which didn’t look any older than 14 to help me .) When I got the vehicle it had not been properly cleaned from the the previous rental. But yet they had a fit when I returned the vehicle and because I drop a charcoal brick and it was crushed. The gentleman made a huge scene out side of the establishment and I had no choice than to buy a dust pan and clean it myself. To clarify, I have no problem cleaning up anything I’m responsible for. However, the scene was unnecessary especially when the truck was dirty before I picked it up . I will never go to that pick up location again.

The space is very tight as it’s located inside a small restaurant. I was not able to do the 24/7 service on my phone because I still had to go in the small cramped restaurant. I ordered a dolly for my departure and they young man told me there were none. Thankfully when I spoke to his father and he found me a dolly. The young man at the counter appeared very young and was plying in his phone while servicing me. More professionalism.

Well first of all I needed a van not a truck second the truck was in poor driving condition when I when to roll down the window the knob fell off and the truck kept bouncing like i was on a dirt road I think you should get new trucks before someone gets hurt trying to drive.

This was the one and only time I’ll ever use U-Haul. First, I scheduled a self pickup at the Webster ave location for 8am. When I got there for my scheduled pickup. I was disappointed to find out that I needed to wait for the office to open. I called customer service to resolve the situation. After waiting for 20+ minutes for a rep to answer. It was close already 8:30. I waited for the office to open only that the rep was 10 minutes late. I only got my reservation receipt at 9:23am 1:23 minutes past what was scheduled. I only was able to officially start my rental at 9:30. Furthermore, I was informed that I had to return my rental at 5pm not my scheduled 10pm. This resulting in me having to stop midway what my plans were to return the rental. This was very unprofessional. I don’t care about being compensated for the rental or asking for a refund. However, something needs to be rectified. I was relying on a smooth transaction and in return ended up with problem. I Was supposed to be charged .79 cents a mile but when I returned my rental I was charged 1.79 per mile. Something between the rental location and the website doesn’t match. Although I have documentation for both. I won’t reconnect U-Haul to anyone and will not use this service ever again.

I called to make a reservation and was told to pick up my van at 3:30pm for a 4hr rental and when I get there was told that they close at 5pm so I would have to come back in an hour and no other options. I was forced to callout of my job the next morning to move my stuff do to this. My next situation was returning the vehicle, I was looking to turn in the key and had to wait 30mins because the restaurant worker didn’t want to come to me. She kept picking up and answering phone calls when I signaled numerous times with her seeing me.

When I went online to reserve the U-Haul, I made the reservation for 4pm-8pm for a 10’ truck as well as two hand trucks/trolleys. When I arrive to pick up the truck the next day, the employee informs me that they don’t have two hand trucks/trolleys and that their location closes at 7pm. Long story short, he ends up finding one hand truck to rent to me, and I was stuck trying to find street parking in NYC for this truck. I had to take a risk and park a commercial vehicle on the street and hope I didn’t get a ticket. The location opened the next day at 9am so I had to take two hours off from work just to return a truck. The U-Haul website DOES NOT match the individual location availability and hours. So on the website you can reserve a truck until, say, 9pm. But the location may very well close before that. Call the location directly and confirm their hours and their next-day availability for certain items and truck sizes. You’re better off renting from an official U-Haul location where you can return the truck at anytime and drop off the keys.

The guy who works at this location was very rude and late. We were scheduled for a 930 am pick up and he made us wait around 40+ minutes for our van. He then proceeded to give us attitude while we were confirming our reservation. When we went to return the uhaul, he said he couldn’t wait for us even tho we received a text that said we had to be back by 530pm. It was 5:10 when he threatened to not accept the truck because he wanted to leave.

Also had a negative drop off experience. When I arrived I was told I could not drop off there because their lot was full of “their” trucks and they could not accept the U-Haul. Also argued with me and told me to take it elsewhere. Traffic, again was able to fix the situation which I am grateful for.

We always have a problem picking up at this location. I reserved a truck (and paid online) and it wasn't available. They told us to come back in the morning. That is unexceptable. Also, no one speaks english at the location. This is the last time i will be renting from this location.

It’s the corner of a restaurant and very awkward to get a truck at. There was one worker and it was a VERY busy morning. There should be at least two employees there so that the process could be quicker

This my first time using uhaul and definitely my last. First you advertise 19.95 but dont include everyother thing you charge for I ended up paying close to 90 dollars for using it for about three hours. The van was dirty I asked to have a dally and the dally wasnt even in the van.

I reserved a truck the night before. In the morning I went to the location 601 East Fordham Road and the guy doesn't have U-Haul trucks anymore. You guys took it from him, according to him. U-haul has to remove that location from their option menu. After calling customer service, the lady informed me that I was suppose to get a call telling me of the correct location to get the truck I reserved. The customer service was too slow. They have 2 people working in the morning and they move very slow. Took 20 minutes to get the van. There was only 1 other customer. Later I waited 40 minutes for the person to take the van and give me a receipt after I returned it. What makes it worse was I was the only customer there. I left and called central so they could give me my receipt.

Stop allowing them to be a certified uhaul retailer. They are giving your company a bad reputation. They mistreat & mislead there customers. Now they charged my card a extra 75$ due to their mistakes. No one should be forced to keep a vehicle because no one at the restaurant can do there job.

I wasn’t able to figure out where to park so I stopped the truck next to a fire hydrant in a bus lane at the risk of a ticket. The instructions said a lot next to a Mexican restaurant but there was no lot so I circled the block 3 times. It took 10 minutes to find someone to help me and he was not helpful. He didn’t really talk very much and it wasn’t clear to me he worked for Uhaul because he wasn’t in a uniform. I didn’t want to leave the truck with a stranger in the Bronx. I wouldn’t return to this location.
