DOUGLAS WI found pickup to be somewhat cumbersome through the app but it was my first time. Drop off is easy through the app.
ALBERT DAs a note, the truck was on empty when I picked it up. If this is policy, it would have been nice to know so I could have planned on filling out up before leaving. Also, the windshield wipers were essentially useless and there was no windshield wiper fluid. Having a vehicle that was gassed up, ready to go and safe to drive in winter conditions would have been appreciated.

DAVID JTom, the owner of the location where I have rented trucks from several years, is great. He is honest, pleasant, helpful, accommodating and super professional. He has a great fleet of all sizes trucks to serve his clients. U-Haul trucks in general are no Cadillac's, my driver's door could hardly close and the tires were unevenly inflated but I knew for certain that my reservation was assured with Tom. Some other locations I had dealt with in the past made promises but had no trucks when came time to pick it up. NEVER WITH TOM. His word is as gold, he has total integrity and he never failed to have what I ask for and for as many days I needed the truck for. I would not risk going elsewhere anymore.

RAMASHAN MThere was no issue at all at the final location for pick up, and the guy there was very helpful. However everything else about the experience was frustrating and stressful. I was given so much incorrect information about where I had to reserve (on-line versus on the phone) then had my pick up location changed multiple times, the date/time changed and the size of the truck changed. No one, who called me from U--haul to repeatedly tell me they couldn't get me the truck/location I chose on-line, seemed at all concerned that this was a major inconvenience for me, expressed little to no support/empathy and were quite frankly either disinterested in helping or down right rude. When I got a call at 9:30am Saturday morning telling me I only had until 10:30am to pick up the truck - when I was originally told I could pick it up Sunday morning - the woman who called was blunt & unwilling to be the tiniest bit flexible. (And this was not the first location I had chosen but one that Uhaul switched me to because Kemptville no longer had a 10ft truck). I was more than an hour away from the location and there was no way I was going to get there for 10:30. I told her my daughter could probably get there just a bit after 10:30 but she was unwilling to wait. I understand people have schedules etc, however I was not the one asking to change the pickup time and I hadn't asked for that location. So my order was sent back "up to head office" and I was told someone would call me and find me a new location. I was then told I couldn't have a 10ft truck, unless I wanted to go a lot further to pick it up. The very last woman who called me was pleasant and seemed to actually care. In the end I had to go with a 15 ft truck but at least we could pick it up Sunday morning as requested. The truck did not have a dolley in it, which when I booked on-line (way back at the beginning) they said would be included. Sunday evening we had a family emergency (we were moving my elderly mother into a care home) and I was no longer able to take the truck to Peterborough so I called Uhaul to tell them I would return the truck to the location where we picked it up. You were already charging me an added fee for the drop off in Peterborough and then I was told there would be a penalty for returning the truck to Kanata!! How does that make sense? And you got a truck back with an almost full tank of gas because I filled it expecting to drive to Peterborough - that was penalty enough for me and a win for you. I asked for an emailed copy of the final bill and to this day have only received the invoice for the $255 paid the morning the truck was picked up. No final bill with mileage costs, extra fees etc. I have used Uhaul several times in the past years and have always had an ok experience. This experience has really soured me on your company and I will look elsewhere next time I need a truck.

TRACY DI was first provided a trailer where the brake lights don't work. Please check your equipment before giving to customers. The process to rent took extremely long even though I provided the info online, everything had to be manually Re-entered.
VISVA SI was not given the $50 credit for the head office cancelling my reservation with this location last week Saturday, November 30, 2024 which caused me to rebook my reservation for December 6, 2024, a day that was very cold with less help from friends who were not available that day. My cancellation that day was for a reservation with the Innes Road location that I did not make. Also I was charged coverage I did not ask for, nor was told about, until when I saw it in my final bill. I declined it during my on-line check in on my November 30, 2024 reservation. The location should remove the $16 coverage charge in my final bill. Thanks. Nash.

IAIN MI had a number of issues: -there was no discernible way to form a line because the place was very cramped, and the rep was not helping to direct people and then took people out of order from when they arrived -I was trying to do the mobile check in (which I registered for) but the location is in a very poor cell service area and I had to travel down the road to get a signal…this is something customers should be aware of, or the location should make wifi available -when I got to the counter the rep said he wasn't sure if he would have a van for me, even though I pre-booked, and then proceeded to tell me that it's busy and they're just giving things as people come…he actually gave away the van that was assigned to my booking to the guys right before me and ended up chasing them down in the parking lot to get the keys back so that I could have the vehicle that I pre-booked (it's not responsible customers who pre-book that should lose out to those that come day of…we had put a bunch of arrangements in place with a number of people to transfer some items and if the van wouldn't have been available I would have lost my mind) -the van itself was parked in a way that it was impossible to get the pics that the mobile sign in asks for…the vehicles were crammed in the parking area and there was not enough room to access vehicles properly…I also faced this issue at drop off and had to box in the vehicle next to the one I was bringing back -the rental are not full tank to full tank, which I have issues with because it always benefits u-haul…people will generally overshoot the amount of fuel to replace and the company is the one who benefits…it's not a very customer-focused approach -dropping off was a nightmare…no matter where I went the app wouldn't accept my pics (taken in the dark so you couldn't see anything anyways) and I had to drive two minutes down the road and take pics of random grass so that the app wouldn't let me move forward to finalize drop off (again, either have working wifi or don't make mobile check in available at this location) Summary- I will never use UHaul again. I'll go to Home Depot where I can get the same vehicle for the whole day with unlimited kms for five dollars more than I paid for UHaul. The customer service of the rep was extremely inefficient and unprofessional (forgot to add that he ASKED THE PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME TO READ THEIR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OUT LOUD TO HIM) and didn't respect reservation. The check in and out was nothing but frustrating. The only good thing I could say is that the van itself was fairly clean and well-maintained and was easy to drive. But I can get that at Home Depot without any of the headache from UHaul. Moral of the story- DO NOT GO HERE.
Elissa KI'm hesitant to grade this location. The tru k was as clean as we would normally get at any location. We've come to accept that most U-Haul vehicles have some deficiencies when you drive them but they are an improvement over yesteryear. Congrats. Recommend.? Of course .if the vehicle is available the customer doesn't have a choice. Gotta go there. It is what it is

JESSE CThe online check-in process was extremely frustrating. If we had been informed ahead of time about the requirements, it might have saved us a lot of hassle. Due to issues with the mobile check-in system, we were delayed by over 50 minutes before we could leave. On top of that, the lockbox was difficult to open. The checkout process was even worse. The online system was riddled with issues, and we ultimately had to text photos directly to a staff member because the upload feature wouldn't work. Overall, it was a major headache, and we lost valuable moving time because of the delays. It would have been much smoother to handle everything in person. While I would recommend the equipment itself, the check-in and checkout processes were far from acceptable. Additionally, having to return the equipment to the original location was inconvenient, especially since there was a closer site near our destination.
GRANT GI had originally booked to pick up in arnprior ontario but that trailer was not working so I had to go to the ottawa location which was a big inconvenience to say the least

KRISTOPHER GSuper Tom was nice but I was switched from a truck i reserved online to a 10 foot truck told it was same price. When billing was done it was not the same price it was 0,2 more a km. As well I selected no coverage and it was added on. Does not seem like a lot but equals out to around $30.00. Duspute has been made with Uhaul before we contact our CC company
KEVINMICHAEL CParking was tight as the lot was full. I was dropping off after hours so nobody was there to advise. I would suggest that they make sure a few spots are easily available in front.

Thornton CI've rented from here before. The gentleman running operations is helpful and nice. This time however, I was driving and noticed the DTRL weren't working as well as the marker lights. At night, I had no lights. Which would've been bad if I got pulled over for not having running lights. Otherwise the trailer was clean and had no other issues.

JOHN T~ Location could not be found on the app when 'picking up my truck' ~ The assistant was helpful to assist to hand over keys , but he mentionned UHAUL system down + same truck was reserved to two persons ~ The truck just arrived , so was dusty inside and wind screen with spots. ~ Last customer wrongly udpated mileage , thus creating wrong input when i picked up

Joshua BI was mislead by the operator at the site and did not get the motorcycle trailer that I phoned and request before arriving at the site. I was given a larger, more expensive trailer instead. I was not offered the option of dropping the trailer off at Toronto because the guy said that the trailer was his rotational and will not allowed to be dropped at a different site and it will cost 600 dollars to retrieve it back to his location. My all project was cancelled and I did not use the trailer and returned it first thing in the morning and when I enquirer if I can get any refund since I dropped the trailer more than 6 hours before the end of the 24 hours I have rented it for he said no and he refused to give me a proof that I have returned the trailer at that time. When I asked about help and instruction about loading and unloading the motorcycle on the trailer he referred me to YouTube!!!!!. I have called and made a complaint and I am still waiting for someone to call me back. Merci.
MOHAMMED YThe app crashed and made me redo photos quite a few times. At pickup there were no damage photos available for me to see existing spots of damage to compare even though it said there were. I think the app is great in theory but needs more work.

JOHN FFirst, its not about this location. I was switched 3 locations before i could actually pickup a truck. I was waiting for 45 mins for customer service to actually assign thr truck to the app, while i was already told on phone and sms that the truck will be available at 2nd location. 1st location was 4km away, second was 15km, third was 20km away. So all that extra additional kms goes on your mileage. Problem with this location was that app was not able to find that location, nor the internet was working very well at that location, no lighting for late night drop off. Andriod app is not functional with location and camera features even on s24 ultra. Luckily my friend had iphone to help me out.

GEORGE RThe location we ended up picking up a truck at was fabulous! But it was not where we originally booked to pick up. The original location we booked at was closed when we arrived and we were told it didn't even have the 20ft truck we had reserved. There were no 20ft trucks available nearby either and the 'closest' larger truck was over an hour round trip away. We had to downgrade to a 15ft truck and had to drive to another location to pick it up. Being able to book a truck at a closed location should never have happened. The delay of changing locations as well as downgrading to a smaller truck meant we were not able to move everything we needed to in the time frame we were alotted. Very frustrating, adding to the stress of moving.
